At first I was afraid, I was petrified
Kept believing all the shite about if Rangers died
But then I spent so many nights thinking how you did me wrong
and I grew strong and I said F*** the Old Firm0 -

What exactly have United done to deserve this fearsome ire?
Does it not go back to some abandoned/postponed game with Rangers and Utd didn't make the re-arranged game free as they still had overheads to cover or something??

I hope it went down like this

Cheers for updating the list GS. Now its Peterhead who we have gone the longest time since our last competitive meeting. 10th Feb 1923 (as opposed to 13th Jan 1923 for Forfar) was our last game with them - is that the longest gap in Scotland. Close to 89 years?
Now we just need Peterhead to beat Celtic and we can play them in the next round

Did they not stuff you in a preseason friendly fairly recently?
edit: Maybe not stuffed but they did beat you 3-2 on 22nd July 2009. You must have met in the 'shire cup as well surely?
Yeah 4-0 in 2008 http://sport.scotsman.com/football/Peterhead-40-Aberdeen-Aberdeen-humbled.4305164.jp
Just a friendly mind

The Dons played Elgin City in the Scottish Cup in 70/71
So we did (and won 5-0)
Apologies - forgot to check for non league Elgin matches

Who do you actually play against then, because up until the first game between our two teams two seasons ago we hadn't met since 1974!!!

Having a look back it does seem a long time since we've played quite a few teams.
While checking these back we do seem to have a knack of drawing the same teams in the cups. In the last 5/6 years we've managed to play Berwick, Dunfermline, East Fife, Falkirk, Dundee, Alloa and Raith at least twice!

Aberdeen haven't played Peterhead since our one and only meeting in the 1923 Scottish Cup. We won 13-0
Bizarrely we havent played Forfar since 1923 either - the round before the Peterhead game!

Three games and a couple breaks later and he's won the first set 6-4 - simple

Murray squanders a 0-40 chance on Ljubicic's serve and is then immediately broken to love. Good game so far. Down 4-3 though

I did try telling everyone days ago. Got to be good for something. Craig Reid will be next to leave! Watch this space..............
Any truth in the rumour of Aberdeen making a bid?

Rumour on another Aberdeen site that we've offered a nominal fee for Craig Reid - thoughts on this - and its plausibility?
I'd have thought if we were looking at QOS players, Harris or Burns would be higher up the list or at least not, what seems to be, the only player at QOS who would require a transfer fee!

We've equalled the longest unbeaten start to a season in our history. 9 games set in 1951/52 and 1966/67. Beat Sevco on Tuesday for the all time record
