  1. I havent been johging for a while but started back a few weeks ago on the treadmill as I am entering a tough mudder at the of August!

I done 6.5 miles on the treadmill today in 47.09 mins.

I havent ran outside for years and I feel dawnted at the thought of going out for some reason! I know it will be a lot harder so just need to get up the courage to do it.

I will stick to the treadmill this week and then might jog home from work next week (its only 3 miles) so I should hopefully be fine with this!

  2. Legs where tired but decided to go on the treadmill and put a decent incline on it lol mistake haha.

Run to the 3 mile mark not bad and then had to jog /walk the rest as I was fecked lol.

4.5m in 36.06 mins which is 1.16 mins slower than yesterday but with a steeper incline.

Ref'ing tomorrow, playing footy Sunday so might not be back on till Sunday night/Monday

  3. Well done. :) thanks for the link also.

Pushed myself hard today. Did 4.5miles without stopping in 34.50m on the treadmill with a slight incline.

I would love to be doing 6 mile by the start of march. Small steps buy slowly getting there.

Ps. That extra was a killer haha

  4. Treadmill again and I done 3 mile in 23.13m! That's 2mins 2 secs faster! I didn't expect that but managed to run the full way.

Came off it and went back and done another mile but could only do it in 8.25m.

I really think I will struggle to beat that time tbh.

Still not done any road running yet so still a false time really.

Sticking in and buildin on it though :)

  5. Also, before I do a 5k, I want to do some incline work on the treadmill too.

It will be harder outside because of this and I won't be able to judge the speed I am running. I like jogging at 7.5 and then increasing to 8.8 for a short time and back to 7.5mph

  6. My link

Free 5 k race every Saturday in Falkirk.

    List of races throughout Scotland.

    My link

That is a good time for 3 miles as has been said. What are your long term goals?

The main one is to run the half marathon in September, but I want to run a full marathon by the time I am 40- i am 36 in may.

I do play footy and ref just now but I struggle with running constantly. Even on the treadmill I had to fast walk twice for just over a minute at a time for 3 miles :(

Short term goal is to run the full 3 miles without stopping and building up a half mile every fortnight.

  7. Ok guys, I am fat unfit c**t but decided to do the great north half marathon in September.

I did 3 mile on the treadmill in 25.17m (yes, that unfit lol). This was with no incline. Lol

Any tips on building myself up would be good.

I am hoping to do a 3k; couple of 5ks and two 10ks beforehand- dont think there is any in-between.

Stay in Stirling so any help/suggestion on races would be appreciated.

  8. I was meant to see them last night at Perth Concert Hall, but couldn't last past 5pm in the hungover stakes! Gutted i missed them!

Apparently they stopped the gig in Perth to chuck one guy out the audience, whether that's true i don't know, but i do know said guy is likely to have been up to no good!

I was there on Sunday and the guy started fighting down the front and the lead singer was calling him a c**t and saying they were going to walk off and they did. The guy was thrown out and they came back on and played until one of the guys nearly got eletricuted. :o They went back off again and came back on when the equipment was fixed. Apart from this, it was an amazing night. B) I also really liked the warm up band, but not sure who they were?

Next up, the Proclaimers at Stirling Castle on Hogmany. B)
