Cat 3 tix for Swiss game changed to 'few tickets'
0 -
No timer either, and a very slow moving green bar....
I only want 2 tix for the Sco-Sui game and happy to pay cat 1 prices.

My interest over the years has waned as well.
PSG v Newcastle looks tasty tonight though.

Of course Wales get the home draw for the final.
Georgia/Luxembourg, and Ukraine/Bosnia also get the home draw for the final.
Georgia v Greece could be some game.
Jammy for Wales, they have a great chance to make it now.
I'm hoping Luxembourg can turn Georgia over, but seems unlikely.

That's as good a draw as Wales could have hoped for.
They must be favourites to get to the Euros now.
And a decent chance for Georgia too!

Yeah that's the plan, reassess once we know the results of the ballot and where Scotland will be. I guess my one question would be, lets say Scotland's games are elsewhere like Munich or Berlin, are those places going to be a much better atmosphere in terms of fans that don't have tickets to the match, just because the game is at that specific stadium nearby? There's a chance I can get a ticket points wise but the group I'm going with definitely won't.
Yes, I would think so.
There will be a lot of day trippers going to the city on matchday, there will also be a lot of fans without tickets going to that city for a few days to be 'in the matchday atmosphere'. Also like your group, 10 people go to the city but only 2 have match tickets.
Undoubtedly there will be some fans who stay in their base city on matchday, but I think the best plan is to head to the host city on matchday morning.
Depends on some other factors as well I guess, like how far away you are between cities, and cost etc.

Are trains bookable just now from Amsterdam into Germany or is it like UK trains where you can only book so far in advance?
I've not been able to book trains as yet, but apparently there's a train every hour from Schipol to Duisburg/Dusseldorf area.

Booked up at the weekend.
We are flying to Amsterdam from Edinburgh 14th-20th and train to Duisburg.
Hotel booked and 'hopefully' secured.
Decent links from Duisburg to 4 host cities 15-45 minutes away by train.
In the UEFA ballot for all the matches in this area over those 5/6 days.
I had 7 apartments (7 different host cities) booked through booking.com and was going to await the draw before I made the next move, but peer pressure, and concerns about accommodation being cancelled has changed the plans.
Pretty content with everything so far, awaiting the draw....

Haha, Bully's special prize isn't all that interesting after all
Agreed, not particularly interesting, but certainly would have given optimism that you may have avoided 4th place and got to the knockouts.

Interesting. I just had to check last years draw.
With 7.83 co-efficient points they were pot 3, and with 8.00 points Aberdeen are pot 4. Seems as though the competition has got slightly better in a year.
Still , I assume the bottom 2 on that pot 3 list will be of a similar standard to Riga.

If you've got an option in one of the cities near Dortmund then I seriously wouldn't bother with it. It's not a great place to stay and there's not much going on.
OK, cheers.
I suppose it's just if there's a Scotland game on in that city it would be good to be based there, but I guess 2 or 3 of the other options are only a half hour train ride away, so all should be fine (we have places in Cologne, Gelsenkirchen and Bochum booked in that area).

I've booked apartments (some hotels) in 8 of the 10 host cities, or quite close to them, for 8 people.
Really struggling finding a good price in Dusseldorf or Dortmund.
Waiting for flights to become available and will just be booking the best priced one to any airport in Germany or in a neighbouring country.
Once the draw is made I'll keep one of the bookings and cancel the others - and hopefully all will fall into place.

Completed.
All the best.

If we win tonight I'd say it's a fairly safe assumption that we'll be in Germany next summer.
Still a long way to go in the campaign, but a win tonight and I'd agree that that will likely be us heading to Germany next summer.
However, and as has been said, this is not an easy game, definitely one we should be winning though.
The final 3 games, if we need more than a point or 2 to qualify, are really tricky looking, so hopefully we have it all wrapped up after Cyprus away (with 15 points in the bag).

Presumably in the absence of a manager, a bid came in and an opportunity to sell a guy who was on a high wage and was likely already earmarked to leave came in, so they accepted it?
Or said deal was already in the planning, and the finishing touches were finalised shortly after Ross departed?

Fair play, that's a great turnaround.
Didn't see any of the tie, but looked down and out after the first leg score.

Scotland seem to be doing the same as in 2018, loads of medals but hardly any golds.
Yeah. I think the team overall are having a very good Games, just wish we had 2 or 3 more golds, but still some brilliant performances.

My main hopes for the games are that Scotland finish top five, or at the very least above Wales, and England finish above the Aussies at the top of the medal table.
Anyone know if these are likely to come to fruition?
It's always a fight between England and Australia, and this time is likely to be no different.
Scotland being 5th is possible, not sure about likely. Will need at least 10 golds I think to be as high as 5th. Top 10 is a realistic aim. 5th would probably be a brilliant games.

AZ Alkmaar or Tuzla (of Bosnia).
Home in first leg.
Away on 11 August?

Was looking at backing Fitzpatrick (20's) to win, Hovland (55/1), Macintyre (100/1) and Ancer (125/1) e/w

I was wondering what interest the Welsh and Irish have in this competition.
Can't really see why they want involved.
It's a bit like Celtic and Rangers being invited to the English League 1&2 cup comp.
