Is this one of these “chuck him on loan until his contract is up” loans or just needing more game time?

Great initiative. Eddie looks like he does a lot on this side of things, and although the club’s community engagement has left a lot to be desired recently, this has been a consistent feature. One question, what would you say to critics of the ‘male only’ side of it. It’s good to see males being targeted for this kind of support group in recent months/years, but surely leaving it open to everyone wouldn’t risk males being heavily outnumbered (and therefore less willing to engage) since football is such a male-saturated sport? Is it more about having a space for guys who won’t/can’t necessarily open up to women? Great stuff though, hope it takes off[emoji16]

I know what you mean. If he scores another 3 or 4 before the end of the season you can see the likes of Hearts or Dundee United throwing a few quid for him. Yep. Flicking it on and holding up play is fine with a partner like Faiss, Kirk or Wallace playing beside/behind you, not when you’re a sole striker. Christ. Falky still gets me stiff. Him and Geggan would be wonderful in our team right now.

All joking aside, it’s like Hughes and the club are genuinely preparing for League One. I agree to an extent. He’ll be on a low wage, so little harm in keeping him on and letting him get some first team action. We’ve let guys like Lewis Spence and Shaun Byrne go at young ages and they’ve gone on to play at a higher level than when they left us. However, I’d be worried if (and this looks likely) he’s in Hughes’ longer term plans to be one of the first names on the team sheet. I suppose Todd signing doesn’t mean we aren’t looking/won’t sign other midfielders, so I’ll try not get too wound up about it.

Funny you should ask. I left one in the fridge for too long a while ago and noticed it wasn’t enjoyable. I don’t like many (if any) beers at or around room temperature though, so it definitely needs some time in the fridge, just not so cold that it loses its taste.
