  1. Firstly, I know there's a multitude of threads running - many of which now only exist for our amusement, posting of 'pleasing' gifs, and general 'let's all laugh and point at Rangers' merriment....

The more I'm hearing though, the more I'm looking towards the actual end game here, and would like to gauge reaction as to where we will be a year, two years, however many years down the line. For as long as i remember I have personally felt disgusted by the way football clubs play fast and loose in a manner no 'normal' business can ever hope to get away with. I see this going the same way as so many clubs before them. They'll dodge the big one by playing the administration card. They won't be the first, they won't be the last. So, what's your prediction for the actual end to this?

To my eyes it's all set up with Whyte knowing all along that he would decide when to play the administration joker card to position himself as main creditor. I genuinely believe some sort of deal will grudgingly be accepted by HMRC. There will be pain for Rangers - but they will indeed dodge the big hammer blow. Short term pain, longer term, they'll weasel a way to rise phoenix-like from administration, as I say, like so many morally bankrupt cheating football clubs before them.

Thoughts? Hopefully not just of a 'LOL' nature! Really looking to see what you guys seriously see the end of this actually being when the dust settles.

The above post from pozbaird rumbles on. Much of what he said along with the other contributors makes interesting reading three years on. Many were remarkably accurate in their thoughts,

This week among the other dodges the revelations on 'Investing' (Aye right) in the film dodge has come to the fore. Why cannot HMRC in consort with the law pursue EVERY dodger.

Since that day, Ibrox has been plagued by the non stop coming and going of an endless supply of villains bleeding the club dry every day since Murray sold the jerseys to Whyte for a quid, he sold out to Green, who involved the London spiv. It's a non stop conveyor belt of rogues.

  2. I hope that no Rangers fan will rise to the bait of the full page advert in yesterdays Herald.

It is all the usual stuff about Rangers no longer existing, paid for by some hooray henrys of Celtic persuasion spelling out next Sundays match is the first ever between the 'Old Firm'.

A full page advert must cost one or two grand. Would they not have been far better donating the cash to some worthwhile charity, Then post their rubbish for free on P&B? If you respond that is what they want, then when they meet it will provide them with some giggling time. You are playing into the hands of these bigots. Do not fall for it by replying, that will hurt them most of all..

On the other hand let us pay tribute to Celtic Football Club for their very generous donation to the Fernando Rickson benefit day of £10,000. That was a touch of class from the Parkhead board.

  3. Anyone would think Ladbrokes had been in touch Paul, begging you to release in time for the printing of their shambolic coupons !

They certainly have no excuses if they are reading this (Hello Ladbrokes you cants).

Only problem is hawthorn1690 may take offence to you giving Ladbrokes the heads up you grass ;)

Ladcrooks are just unbelievable. They go into a market blind to the real odds, are hit with their very obvious errors by the shrewdies early on, then copy nocko.

First time this season last Saturday I ventured into Ladcrooks. Modest three lines @ £5 covering 8 teams. No less than five altered prices. Suff it I said as usual the line was down but I had saved fifteen quid. They are no real; honest..

  4. Seeing how close they were to one another, it's perhaps no surprise they vanished.

It was no surprise but reasons were different.. If you read the Junior History the reasons so many Glasgow clubs went out of the game was because the vast new post war council housing schemes removed the huge volume of people away from the 19th century slums. The new enviroment ment their teams could not go with them.

The juniors post war attracted large crowds and the local derbies kept the interest going.
