Always compared him to Callachan, and think he'll follow a similar career path.

Interesting my data shite says the most similar player to Andersons 20/21 season was Callachan at Hamilton. Most similar to Anderson in 21/22 was Ali Crawford for us in 21/22...

And one of them is quite enough thanks…

Genuine question here, assume unlimited capacity for home fans and ticket prices reduced to a fiver; how many Saints fans would go?

we could open the gates and it still wouldn't be full.

3 stands and £25 is probably what I was expecting...maybe £5 too much, but I get it. As has been said...a couple of new deals announced off the back off 3 or 4 decent crowds recently would be grand. (No, I don't know anything).

    Anyway...I'm going because I support Saints. :)

He was visibly angry and upset at the prospect. I think he was alluding to vitriol he claims is directed from Rangers fans towards catholic players at our club, and that such people shouldn’t be allowed to take over our stadium on a match day.
I have to say, much as I dislike the OF, that his demeanour and near tangible anger was almost as unpleasant as the behaviour he was so strongly opposing. I’m not criticising the man, I’d like to have been able to speak to him and try to understand why he feels so strongly and why he only spoke about Rangers fans, not Celtic.

I also picked up on this and thought exactly the same as you at the time....you're right, he was clearly angry and passionate about the point he was making, and I couldn't get my head round it at the time.

On reflection though, if you are passionate about your faith then you will feel that this is a bit of personal attack...hence the "anger". ((having said all that, my comments come from a position of ignorance as I have no interest in the topic......just an observation more than anything else))

As an overall summary of the meeting, I thought it was good and more open than I thought it would be. Steve (the board) never dodged a question, apart from the Foster one (fair enough) and the slides/content were clear and pitched at the right level. Paulo's summary is spot on re content.

It would have helped having Tommy there to field some of the team selection questions....."why does Danny not get a game|" etc.

If I took away a one thing from the meeting, it would be that Steve Brown is fed up with the whole thing and can't leave quickly enough.....I thought he got more and more negative as the meeting went on.

On the point about 'an evening with Steve Brown', did anyone here get allowed in?

I was going to try for a seat but they sent the email out in the middle of the day when folk are at work, didn't check my personal email until the evening and didn't bother as I expected it would be too late.

Would be good to know if we had any P&B reps going.

I'm going. Season Ticket holder for 25 years. No agenda and generally interested in what the board have to say. I was lucky enough to see the email while I was a work, sent an email to Bev (maybe an hour after I got the invite email) and got a reply to say I was in.

Some craniums will be detached if we re-sign MOH, which would be enjoyable. Some of the comments I’ve read regarding Swanson recently have been ridiculously reactionary, and stems from a belief that players should never leave to better their wallets and if they do Saints should never sign them again. Brutal stuff.

Hopefully get some detachment then....this late this week, maybe next.

We’ve got to be careful here. Whilst I agree our team needs a new spark and freshened up, what we don’t want to do is hand short term deals to guys like both Hibs and Dundee United have done in recent years and disrupt the team totally.

Are there any specific players who you wouldn't want to come on loan? I don't remember anyone specifically disrupting those teams.

  8. Wouldn't say that, seems to be on a pretty rapid slide.

No-one knows if it's a massive slide or not...he started a few games for us (I'll say 8 but someone will probably correct me!!) and for he majority of the rest of them did exactly the same thing.

    1. Ran on to the park really quickly
    2. Took a poor few touches
    3. Moaned a bit at the ref
    4. Had a few decent touches
    5. Stood in the box waiting for the cross....which never came.
    6. Applauded supporters

Once the team was settled he was never going to shift McLean, Kane or Cummins and seemed resigned to his fate.

FWIW, I thnk he would do ok at Championship level playing in a team with a bit of width.
