  1. Delighted we’re safe, but our slightly improved form recently is really a case of too little, too late by Bartley. A dreadful season and dwindling crowds/interest means he must be paid off as soon as possible and someone else tasked with building a top 4 side next season

Am sure I suggested this before, but if money is the sole cause for not sacking him now, could we organise a GoFundMe to sack him now? I'd happily donate.

Great idea. I’m in if you can get it organised. Imagine the embarrassment of the BoD if the fans offered them £20,000 towards sacking Bartley.

Wouldn't want AJ anywhere near us! As I say, no surprise he's not found another club yet.

You'd imagine Todd will take charge for the playoffs. I don't think we'd need a great manager in to get us playing better. We just need someone in who knows the players's capabilities and who doesn't criticise them after every game. If Todd is respected within the group then I expect the side would perform for him for the short-term.

Mm, im not sure i see anyone with the necessary leadership attributes in our current squad tbh. Maybe Todd or Reilly at a stretch. Didnt Todd give up the captaincy earlier this season? Would maybe suggest he doesn’t want that kind of responsibility?

  4. If our BoD suddenly grow a set and dismiss our charlatan of a manager, who would supporters want in as caretaker to guide us potentially through the relegation play-offs?
For example, would AJ’s excellent division one pedigree & availability make him a decent candidate for this short-term gig? Just til the end of season mind - not suggesting for a second that he gets a deal for next season - that ship has long sailed.

Suggeted names would be good, rather than just outrage at my suggestion ! 😃

Except that in any other business, it would be a dereliction of their duties as a Board to not prioritise the financial implications of a decision. If the money isn't there to do it, it's not there.

Yeah, i dont think we’re disagreeing here.  What I was trying to say is that if they CAN afford to sack him but are choosing not to do so (for whatever reason) thats what is arguably a dereliction of their duties as we are so feckin bad!

We both know it’s not going to happen but just as a matter of interest what are these qualifications that guarantee success in the role?

Some of the best Managers had no playing career to speak of, were dreadful communicators, some did not believe in coaching. Bartley arrived with a dossier full of positive qualifications and  many would say he is one of the worst Managers that Queens have had in our long history.

I have no idea if Dan would be any good or not. However, the most appealing thing about it is that hes already on the pay roll and so wouldn’t cost us another wage. That way we could put Marv & Bertie on gardening leave til the end of the season while continuing to pay their wages til we can afford their pay off. Jesus, I’m almost willing to consider any left field idea now just to see the back of him. What a disastrous appointment he has been.

i sincerely hope, for the Directors sake, that it’s only our perilous finances that are keeping them from sacking Marv.. If not, then it reflects very badly on them that they haven't pulled the plug yet and is almost a dereliction of their duties as a Board

I can’t believe that MB is still in post - what more evidence to the BOD need to see that the playing side is an utter unmitigated shambles.

Yes, its starting to get silly now. Marv, unfortunately, clearly has no idea how to fix things. He signed the players so, ultimately, has to take the responsibility for the failure of his team. A new guy needs to come in quickly so he has time to assess the squad ahead of the january window.  If nothing happens, the frustration of the fans will, quite rightly, turn towards the BoD for their lack of action to address a worsening situation

    No need to buy shares.

I haven't refreshed my knowledge of the articles recently, but from memory it's something like:

    • minimum 5% shareholding to bring a motion at the AGM to sack a director or elect a new director.
    • for the motion to pass requires 50% + 1 of votes cast on the basis of 1 share, 1 vote.
    • any new director has to own at least one share.

However, there are three very large groups of shareholdings (I believe it's: Davie Rae, the Houlistons, the Blounts). Their holdings are sufficiently large that any motion to sack or appoint a new director would in effect require at least two of the three in support.

So are you saying that Hewitson doesn't own that many shares? If so, then is it the backing of Rae/Blount/Houliston that have made him chairman?

So…..Efe Ambrose has apparently played well in the last consecutive 2/3 games but started on the bench today. Why did we now play with a back line who haven’t been playing together recently. Can anyone explain? We lost 4 goals in the first half with that experiment

Big Efe has played 90 mins v East Fife, 70mins v Queens Park and 45mins v Alloa. We havent conceded a single goal while he has been on the pitch. Just saying like….
