What's the fee then.
Darvel say its a record fee for them..
Surprising modesty from them then, since that would be 6k profit. Kilwinning were happy to let everyone know exactly what they received.

A double draw (Men's & Women's) will take place at 7:30pm on Monday, 22nd July to confirm the ties for the first and second Preliminary Rounds in both competitions.

Well none of them seems to bother checking the actual logistics of whether they were going to be able to play the games. So it's incompetence or bone-idleness to just assume the other teams were going to be willing to mess up their own fixtures so they could play in an extra cup.
At least the under 20's will get a run out though, less than 24 after their league games...
As pointed out about IHS above, I would add their decision came before the SCC announced it was doing away with regionalisation. While they'd had a couple of games against WoS teams. Being boxed into the NE section will have seemed limiting. Its not like they'd come close to winning the Alex Jack.
The rest of the returns all being SFA teams I think tells its own story.

Ah that's fair enough. Just going on what I've heard sporadically that this club and that club saying that the SRCC and WOSFL LC should be optional participation.
I wasn't aware West cup had priority also. Strange way to run a league. Cheers.
Tues/Wed games involving WoSFL teams in the last 3 completed seasons. As Tues/Wed is when you typically put something in with planning. Not say a Monday May 16th (Pollok v. Clydebank WoS Qtr) two days after a league game as there's a scramble to just end the season.

Subservient to only one cup, which is a historical tradition within the old juniors. Imagine that mindset is still prevalent.
WoSFL Cup last year started in October, 80 teams in it. With the weather we've had, the number of postponements you would see. Can only imagine the kind of havoc it may have caused. Strangely though they only played one midweek game. A semi-final 5 days before the Final was played.
Kennie has said in the past that cup games are prioritised for weekends due to the split gate. If that means that league games have to be mopped up in April/May/June when the suns out and teams playing 3 times a week, so be it.

No, the East and Lowland League are just wanting their league and SENIOR Cup fixtures played when they should.
The big difference here is, the East of Scotland And Lowland League match secretary's aren't also being paid by the SJFA...
There's something of a disconnect that gets labelled as tribalism, but is just a difference in mentality. Within the EoS/LL circle cups have been supplementary to the league. Scottish & Alex Jack are paired up to minimise league disruption. The rest of the cups have dates set aside but fall behind, its upto you to try and make it up delaying to the next round of dates or squeezing in midweek.
Whereas in the West the feeling seems to be that the league should be subservient to cups.

East of Scotland clearly trying to make it as awkward for their teams as possible to take part in the Junior Cup. Such tribal pish that means we have two cup competitions (South Challenge & Junior Cup) that should be far far better than they are or merged but aren't due to daft old men playing politics over football.
The West, East, South, Lowland League, Midlands, North Junior Committees etc need to all grow up and get your heads together for the good of the game at non league level to sort a premier cup competition instead of two half arsed ones.
If you look at the fixture list they did try and accommodate teams known to be in the SJFA this year and last. Then the SJFA dragged out the guest application process this summer.
Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts not announcing they'd been accepted as guests until June 25th. 4 weeks after the EoS AGM where the AJC draw usually would be done if it hadn't been for the uncertainty of participation. Most people would have already expected the fixture lists to be out by the end of June and spanners are being thrown in.
I can understand why the EoS put out a reminder. As the ones making things awkward right now is the SJFA making things up as they go along.

As far as I'm aware, it's always been called the East of Scotland Cup but at times it had a sponsor name. In recent years it was the Thornton's Property Cup, that sponsorship ended so it reverted to the original name.
The reason for why there might be some confusion is this:
https://www.ultrasoft2.co.uk/ersjfa/default.asp
So its "Is this the League Cup or the East of Scotland Cup?" Since they were only running one of those the last couple of years due to so many league fixtures.

But they are allowed to enter and if they have to play games simultaneously and choose to play rotated squads in either or both competitions, what's the issue?
If they need the R1 & R2 farce because of the rules. Then they might have to explain the participation rules.
Can't be a member unless in the ERSJFA, NRSJFA, WoSFL, EoSFL. Can't be a guest unless at Tier 6.

21st September sees a full LL and EoS League fixture list. Only Bathgate and Stoneyburn are idle and can play their SJC games that day, otherwise, good luck.
Bo'ness away to Gala, Tranent at home to Gretna.
Most of the EoS fixtures work out as SJC v. SJC. Getting the league fixture postponed won't be an issue. The first round has been the easiest to accomodate that.
Stoneywood-Parkvale withdrew this season, otherwise would have been the ideal 128 teams. Except still would have needed the convoluted R1-R2 system to give Scottish Cup teams 'byes' cos of the rules. The same rules that say Tranent & Bo'ness United shouldn't be in it as they can't be members or play at Tier 6.

127 clubs in 63 ties + 1 bye gives 64 clubs for the following round, or am I missing something?
It would make the 31st August round 1 redundant though.
They get to pretend that the Scottish Cup teams received byes.

Well that was a really weird draw process.
127 teams entered.
20 given byes to R2 (the teams qualified for the SFA Cup).
R1 draw consisted of 1 tie between 2 teams drawn from the remaining 107, the winner going directly into R3!
125 teams then took part in the R2 draw, drawn into 62 ties and one bye.
With 127 entrants that single tie in R1 could just have been incorporated into R2. R1 was completely unnecessary numerically speaking. The only reason for concocting a one-tie R1 was to invent a way to give 20 teams byes at the first stage.
What a nonsense!
Cruden Bay and Neilston should just play their "R1" tie on 21st September along with all the "R2" matches!

How can BU or Tranent play 2 games at same time ?
I can’t see anything anywhere that allows this .
Someone earlier said trying to use the Development team.
Don't think there's anything that bars it from happening. I know Stirling Uni have technically had to do it with university commitments.

home to Gretna 2008
Both BU & Tranent got byes to the 2nd Round of the SCC which means 14/09 isn't going to be free. At least the home/away worked out so its just a divided fanbase and weakened teams being put out unless dates can be rearranged.

I get that, but Harmony Row are a Govan team so only a bit of a derby.
Actually, I cant remember, why did Harmony Row fold or did Giffnock just take their place for some reason? The Giffnock game is what the smaller clubs want, the excitement, the nervousness, the anticipation of a local bigger team coming to your ground, hope its a cracker of a game for both teams.
The originating Harmony Row cut ties from the Mens & Women's teams if a I recall correctly, and just wanted to focus on youth football. Meant losing access to the ground and branding. The WoSFL side were then brought into the Giffnock SC set-up, since they avoided having to apply themselves.

Would it not be possible to get him the rest of the numbers?
It's a pretty public project both on here and twitter. Its been known for months that the BUs were missing a number of fixtures and nothing has been provided. While club sources are preferred, they could come from anyone. No one stepped up.

I know they are friendlies however with the WoS sides being very much dominant over LL sides is this a sign of the distortion in the pyramid system?
Surely better having a HL EoS and WoS league at tier 5 as opposed to none regionalised LL at tier 5?
We know the WoS teams can compete against the best in the LL however teams that are in the LL how would they fair in the WoS?
Am I missing some pre-season friendlies between LL & West teams or something? Because I was expecting something embarassing for you to jump in with this usual line, and the only thing that qualifies is Gretna beating St Cadoc's. A team some people are touting for the Premier title.

Maybe they should have had the cup draws in place weeks ago and allowed a better working of the league fixtures to boot.
That's typically what would have happened with the SCC. Not too clear what the delay was this year, but certainly the idea of eventizing the draws has backfired for the WoSFL Cup and SCC.

Who are Edinburgh Community - new club?
Craigroyston rebranded last season. Originally tried to become the new Edinburgh City after a tie-up with the youth club Edinburgh City and SPFL FC Edinburgh weren't using the name.
SPFL FC Edinburgh became Edinburgh City again, and Craigroyston settled on Edinburgh CFC

Gala Fairydean Rovers didn’t have the best end to last season, and this also shows they are far down the table overall on ppg of the remaining teams.
GFR are that far down on PPG because they've always been a bottom half side, and struggled amongst teams that are long gone. Which is hardly a surprise. They joined the LL from the EoS First Division, pre-pyramid being a yo-yo team bouncing between EoS Premier/First.
In complete seasons they have gone: 10th, 8th, 11th, 10th, 13th, 8th, 13th, 12th, 16th.
If Gretna 2008 have gotten their recruitment right this season. I wouldn't be shocked to see them compete against GFR

In another thread got to talking about Bo'ness United's attendance for last season. They had a lot of incomplete dates, which made me think there's 3 years of almost complete dates. What would the average look like to try and balance out missing data and extremes like GroundHops?

It will be the single greatest relegation battle football has ever seen. 17 teams all ending on the same points, having to be split by various tiebreakers.
Then EKFC fail miserably in the SPFL2 Play-off final to Elgin City. Dashing Gretna 2008's slim hopes of survival.

Think i've said elsewhere there's hope for Gretna 2008. New manager bounce and the unknown of how that will go. The highs of beating a favoured St Cadoc's side to losing 3-0 to Creetown is keeping people guessing.
Looking for an alternative it does lead to Gala. The manager's been there a while. Might be running out of fresh ideas and contacts to bring in decent signings. Must be getting harder to attract from the Edinburgh area without the cash to back it up that other teams can offer.
