  1. After the Chargers took a 21-17 lead, the offense got the ball 4 more times. A TD on any of those drives would have won the game, but all they could muster was a solitary FG that sent the game to OT. Second week in a row the O is being blamed for 'failing' when the reality is the D is so fucking hopeless the O has to be absolutely perfect and score on more or less every drive otherwise the game is a L. Giving up 27 points to an offense that averages 15.8ppg over the past year, and Tannehill recording a 123 PR when the Saints completely shut him down the week before. This was entirely on Staley's D, again. Chargers are the first team in history to score 50+ points in the first two games of the season, not turn the ball over, and still go 0-2. Every single week they set some sort of riduculous "first".
  2. Pads have finally won 4 games in a row for the first time all year.
  3. Put a fork in the Chargers. What a fucking shambles of a team. Idiotic penalties extending drives and handing the TItans free points. Four opportunities to win that game and they come up with 3 points total. Staley's D surrendering 63 points through 2 games. It's getting worse the longer they keep him around. If they are 0-4 at the week 5 Bye there is absolutely no reason not to fire him, but this idiotic ownership will let him and their clown of a GM hang around until January and still go through the motions of 'making a decision'.
  4. Well... NZ looked to be on the way to levelling the series at 1-1 a few days back, Liam Livingstone went berserk, and it's been one-way traffic ever since.
  5. Zero Safety help, and you leverage your guy to the inside of the field? Oh well, this one looks to be over.
  6. That's a Touchback. Holy shit what a clownshoes Half
  7. Total Keystone Kops stuff all around
  8. Jesus what an awful Quarter of football. I still think Hurts is nowhere near as good as the hype. Honestly think he'll struggle to carry the Eagles once the talent around him naturally atrophies. He's capable, but I don't think he's quite the 10-15 year "Franchise" QB he's being talked up as.
  9. If you ever encounter North Riding Brewery's Honey Porter you must order it, it's amazing. I think it's something they only brew now and again and mostly sold bottled, but the cask is probably the only porter I'd rate as highly as, or possibly even above Titanic's plum. It's a bit odd, because although it's strongly flavoured, it's not overwhelmingly honey-like, and it actually tastes a bit like the dark chocolate version of Bounty bar.
  10. Chargers are in "must win" mode already. Can't start 0-2 and hope to make the playoffs because the schedule is a nightmare. Don't expect the same farcical pass D this week, but fully expect the Titans to put up 200+ on the ground.
  11. Combination of brutal hitting and utter dross bowling from NZ sees Stokes score 182 in England's 368. Didn't even use their full allocation, being all out after 48.1 Overs. NZ looking out of it already. 28-3 after 10.
  12. So that's the Packers receiving a 2nd round pick and not a 1st for Rodgers because there was a 60% snap condition in the trade. Warren Sapp with an excellent point. The Jets are scheduled for 5 more primetime appearances this season.
  13. "Do these fans kinda deserve it..." Well judging by the amount of lite/light 'beer' in shot, absolutely yes.
  14. Anyone else following this? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-66783808 When this first broke as a story months ago, I thought that perhaps it would be an African/Caribbean superstition thing, but it appears from the names of the accused that they are highly likely to be white Scots. It's all a bit bizarre. Clearly the Crown must believe the children have been the victims of abuse, but I can't imagine standing in the dock in 2023 and have someone put it to me that I have been waving wands about, communicating with the dead, summoning demons etc. I suppose it's still early in the proceedings, and it may just be that the prosecution is painting a picture of a deliberate concoction designed to terrify children into compliance, but it seems that the entire thing only came to light after one or more of the children confided in a third party, and they took notes and handed them to police. It sounds like a trial collapse, a scandal, and an inquiry waiting to happen, but who knows
  15. Seems an odd loan on the face of it, but he might need 2-3 months of football to get over the injury properly, so the 'season long' bit could just be a contingency. IF he's going great-guns and it fully fit by January, recall him, if he's not Dundee have the option of leaving him in Greenock a wee while longer.
  16. Don't know if you are old enough to remember Chargers Punter Darren Bennett. He was a former Aussie Rules player they signed as a camp walk-on then sent to NFL Europe for a season. When he came back he won the starting Punter gig, and they had to have words with him because he was often the next guy down the field after the gunners covering his own punts. Complete animal, but he calmed it right down.
  17. Watching it live I thought sprained ankle or perhaps lis franc because of the way his foot was compressed and forced upwards. Snapped Achilles usually leaves you rolling about on the deck and he just stood up and tried to walk it off, but if you watch the replay from behind you can see his calf muscle tensed up, then it suddenly relaxes without his foot moving, so aye, looks all the way like a rupture. Difficult to see him coming back from that at his age, but I suppose it depends on motivation and whether it turns him into a total pocket statue. Wasn't impressed with the Jets OL in pass pro last night, so if I'm Rodgers I'd be thinking about that as well.
  18. Carson Wentz is still a Free Agent
  19. Got to give the Jets huge credit for gutting that out and hanging around, but Allen played like total shite, and god knows how the SJ didn't see the trip on the PR because he was looking right at it.
  20. Can see this being a Tie because the scriptwriters won't let a New York team lose on 9/11, but at the same time this is Damar Hamlin's miracle return (to the sideline) so the Bills can't lose either.
  21. That's really conservative by Saleh. I think you have to take a shot at a TD there, especially when you know the opponent can score quickly.
