Week 1, and seems daft saying it, but this is genuinely a make-or-break game for the Chargers. Time for Staley to shit or get off the pot. If this is year three of giving up 6-7 yards on the ground every single 1st down, and at least one enormous run around the edge every single week, then it's going to be another season of limping to 9-10 wins with talent that should be winning 12, and both he and the GM should be fired. I think the O won't be as pat-a-cake as last year because Moore just doesn't run a powderpuff scheme, but if it's yet another year of abysmal D then that's entirely on Staley. Herbert would be 43-7 across his regular season career if the Chargers D had simply held opponents to the league average PPG. They shouldn't be having to get into shootouts and endless one-score squeakers with garbage teams. Personally I'm still inclined toward thinking Staley is an utter fraud and it's all smoke and mirrors, but we'll see.

GG. Congrats on kicking the losing FG. The Titans biggest millstone isn't Tannehill, its Vrabel. The guy is Jeff Fisher reincarnated. He isn't good enough to coach middling talent over the hump, but they'll never suck enough to be able to access the talent that would make him a winning HC. They need to fire him and move on.

Some awful OL play in Pittsburgh. It's totally unlike them. Even when they are behind on talent they usually do the fundamentals well, which is a big part of why they are usually competitive even in down years. You run a single back set and scheme the OG to pick up the ILB, the ILB is Warner, your OG gets a clean shot but face washes him and releases...
