  1. Steelers O looks like shit. That's just a 50/50 "f**k it" throw from Pickett. Not his fault he slipped, but Diontae Johnson is one of the biggest frauds in the NFL.
  2. Get rid of the ball Pickett you clown
  3. Yeah, they're a right mess, but playing at home in a Finals is usually a big advantage (unless its bloody Hampden it seems) In a neutral setting, then aye, that's the #1 seed you'd pick.
  4. I think you might be right. Raiders have a few good players and they are not as talent-deficient as genuine turd teams, but I have no faith in McDaniels whatsoever, and I think if things don't go to plan early it could turn into the sort of farce where the players are in open revolt and have downed tools by week 7 or 8. You might get lucky, Wilson comes out today and still looks completely cooked, and you start 1-0 with a Division win. That would take the heat off for a while at least, but over the season I can't see Vegas winning any more than 6-7 games maximum, and that could still mean a 4th place finish.
  5. Yup. Met loads of Berliner football fans in the times I've been going over there, even 20+ years ago way before they were relevant the decent sorts were Union fans. Never had a bad time at Hertha matches either, though their fans are markedly different. If you are a real hipster twat you go to FC Dynamo or Tasmania matches. (Babelsberg doesn't count )
  6. Hopefully this follows the early-season pattern of one decent match thread followed by one carcrash, because the Johnnies thread was brain-melting tripe.
  7. No intae that hipster emulator nonsense. Smouldering powerpacks and wobbly Kempston interfaces that brick the mainboard all the way
  8. Dearie me. NZ are a good side, and there will always be the odd game where you get rolled no matter what, but this England side looks like a shambles and has gone steadily downhill since Eoin Morgan patched it.
  9. Toot! Toot! Double relegation express in Berlin. This seems to happen every other year in Germany. A team gets punted from Bundesliga 1 and immediately follows it up with a trip to Regionaliga.
  10. Japan are a handy side right now but Germany are an absolute shambles. Game was as one-way as the score suggests. Germans looked clueless and made individual error after error. Going to take some turnaround to prevent an utter humiliation as the host nation next summer.
  11. Well that's essentially true given the nature of West Edinburgh Lib Dems.
  12. Yeah, I don't see where he'd necessarily fit in the team right now, but if Clarke and Scotland want any sustained success, that is naturally going to involve a bit of evolution of formation and tactics, so there's nothing to say that in a few years from now we won't be side that gets after the opposition by playing two wingers rather than a 3/5 system with wingbacks. Hickey & co are great, but they can all play as proper fullbacks in a 4 as well.
  13. I don't have a tape deck or a spare C90
  14. Yup. Spawny run to the Semis playing nobody but pub teams, glorious heroic failure, knighthoods and MBE's dished out left and right, runners up to the "Lionesses" in BBC Team of the Year, and they'll still have the cheek to turn around and lord it over Scotland who will likely no get past Ireland and South Africa.
  15. One of the greatest inventions in the entire history of the human race. Just a pity I can never restrain myself to just a couple of pints of it.
  16. 'mon tae f**k Argentina. England get the benefit of a comedy draw, and even then their mediocre opponents still manage to underperform
  17. She should write to the Daily Mail and petition them to run a propaganda campaign to convince pensioners that all we need to do to fix our broken NHS is become an Islamic Theocracy
  18. "Up/Doon" should be used in relation to respective heights above Sea-level, nothing else. Hence 'up' the Hilltoon, Arthur's Seat, Lothian Road, and 'Doon' the toon if you are travelling to Dundee city centre from just about anywhere outside of it (exceptions being if you are in Wormit or suchlike, because then you'd be going 'over the bridge', but you really shouldn't be trespassing in Tayside anyway you web-footed mutant). Obviously a different ballgame when the town centre is on the top of an incline, and then you would be going 'Up' the toon.
  19. The Scotland national team players and staff. Do England even have a playoff fallback?
  20. Scenes when they make an arse of this, finish 3rd, and get pumped in the playoffs
  21. Haymarket is emphatically nowhere near Princes Street Might as well call them the Newfoundland end and the Denmark end
  22. I'm going to ask my missus to clarify that if the cardinal directions of "North" and "South" can be conflated with the concepts of "up" and "down", then surely "East" and "West" must be "right" and "left" respectively, yet nobody would ever suggest meeting at the "left" end of Princes Street. Or perhaps she would
  23. Agreed. Well I'd contend that as no less an authority than Google Maps contends that "Lothian Road" feeds Home Street directly, and "Tollcross" Fire Station is very firmly in the block that is bordered on one side by Earl Grey Street, that the status of Earl Grey Street really is not up for contention, being that it appears to be both Tollcross, and a defacto part of Lothian Road. Ergo, Lothian Road ends in Tollcross, at the 'Top' end no matter which way you try and play it.
  24. Earl Grey Street is all that separates Lothian Road from Tollcross, and it's open to debate whether EGS is East Fountainbridge or Tollcross proper, so I'm not entertaining any notion that the top of Lothian Road does not merge with Tollcross.
