  1. Our problems lie far deeper than just having a terrible manager. We have a CEO that's priority is to look like a great guy on social media interacting with fans of other clubs.

Fan ownership clearly isn't working either. Because we got to 2 cup finals a few years ago , we thought everything was rosy.  The club model of selling young players is great when you have good players to sell but when that conveyor belt of talent stops, then we are fcuked.

Yesterday proved that we may be a couple of positions above St Johnstone, but on and off the park they are streets ahead of us as a club and have the trophy cabinet to prove it.

  2. It wouldn't feel so bad going out the cup or losing games if I had an idea of where we are heading as a team.

At least if your seeing a system that just needs a few tweaks and 1 or 2 players brought in to make it work but by fcuk we are all over the place

We have no settled formation apart from lumping the ball up the park and no idea of who is our best starting 11 . Cornelious will probably not play again for a few games despite being our best player today and Lamie who has at least showed a bit of consistency since the winter break will be playing in the Scottish Championship next season with another club whilst we extend contracts of guys like Fox and McGinlay.

What formation did we actually go to when we made the last changes last night, I was caught up in watching KVV as the lone striker that I didn’t take in what the rest of the personnel were doing.

Lone striker must be a dream come true for KVV, no expectation that he passes to anyone, just run for the goal and shoot, his natural game really.

Looked a bit like Mike Bassetts christmas pudding formation at the end up.

What a state to get yourself into.

The boy already signed a new deal last January when he when he could have walked away for pennies. It’s hardly his fault he had a dodgy knee that required surgery.

He’s far too good for us, the idea he’s not a proper Motherwell fan unless he puts his own career on hold to sign another new deal at Fir Park is properly mental. Especially when he’s essentially already just lost a year of his career through no fault of his own.

As for Hastie, I never had any issues with his decision. He cashed in on a real purple patch and set himself up for life, fair play to him. However as many of us predicted, his development and career have gone backwards as a result of said decision.

Not getting myself in a state at all.  I couldn't give a toss about the lad. We are 3rd without him, we wouldn't have been any better off with him fit and in the team. Just annoys me all this 'oh i'm a Motherwell fan' shite. Sold his sole last summer .

I'm surprised you all didnt click that was coming the moment your club created that video about him a week or so back.

As clear a sign you're desperate to sell him in the next window as you'll likely ever see.

It was always coming but thought maybe sign a deal and hope the club got some cash for him.

Considering the abuse Hastie got when he signed a pre contract with Rangers , it will be interesting to see how the fans react to him signing for his beloved hoops.

Back in the day, there was a fence right down the middle of the North Bank, right where the middle logo on the roof is in my photo. To the left of the fence, the home support were located, the away support to the right. There were some tasty exchanges across that fence down the years. The North Bank was fcuked the day the seats went in. The Main Stand was a hundred years past its sell-by date, and the new Love Street end stand was a freezing cold wind tunnel. As much as I miss Love Street for the emotional ties, the away fans had by far, the best deal.

Ah, memories of a midweek game and an altercation between Stevie Kirk and Billy Abercrombie for which they both got sent off (allegations of spitting by Kirk). Abercrombie refused to leave so the ref sent him 4 times and he ended up with a 12 game ban. Helped liven up a fairly drab (1-1 draw (IIRC).

Think we actually lost that night but i may be wrong and you might be right.

James Scott got the keeper booked today, ref told Gillespie to get on with it while the ball was in the stand, when he went to take the goal kick Scott switched wings and the keeper moved to ball to match, got booked.

i thought Collum handled time wasting well, you don’t usually see refs caring about it.  Not sure that cancelling a corner because we had already had three is actually in the rules of the game though.

Aye and it nearly led to the equaliser.  Even when the game passes without incident he tries to be in the headlines.
