Got away with that, hopefully never see Palma in a Celtic shirt again, horrendous player.
As for Falkirk, hope we see he's in the premiership next season. Was nice to see an opposing team come to CP and play football rather than just hoof it to the striker at the earliest opportunity. Put alot of the top league to shame.
Would change pretty much the entire team for this.
Sinisalo
Ralston, Trusty, Nawrocki/Welsh, Valle
McGregor, Bernardo, Holm
Palma, Idah, Forrest
Very much looking forward to the game
Brilliant tonight, had to get 3 points tonight especially with 2 hardest away trips coming next.
Here's hoping that's the tone set for a positive campaign.
CL draw:
Leipzig (h)
Dortmund (a)
Brugge (h)
Atalanta (a)
Young Boys (h)
Dinamo Zagreb (a)
Slovan Bratislava (h)
Aston Villa (a)
Home draws have been very kind to us, aways are going to be tough but there's some great trips for the away support
Along with them losing the final, it was pretty much the only other silver lining about rangers run in the Europa was that it blew the "we can't compete in Europe" narrative completely out the water. I think I can safely say the vast majority of Celtic fans (myself included) are abit f**ked off about how inept we have been in Europe the past few years. We should be doing better. The year we ran into Bodo/Glimt in the Conference league was a massive missed opportunity.
I'm cautiously optimistic we will bring in the quality players the manager wants this week. But if the board do shaft us again, I can see a lot of unrest forthcoming. Fans won't accept being short-changed much longer
LB , CB , Bogusz , Engels , Winger would be an ideal end to the window.
Hopefully guys like Lagarbielke and MJ do move on and perhaps Yang if we do indeed get another winger
When I heard about this last night, I thought for sure this was made up pish.
But seeing this today is hugely concerning, if the 2nd best team in the WORLD wants him, he's as good as gone.
Yeah the price is abit higher than expected, but he came in and did a good job and scored us some important goals that won us the title (and in turn made us a shit load of money) and it was pretty f**king clear Rodgers really wanted him signed.
Happy to have him back
Looks like we're getting Kasper Schmeichel. Still no.1 for his country even at 37 and has alot of experience playing at high levels.
As long as there's another coming in with a view to that person becoming the new no.1. Can't be to unhappy with this
Honestly unsure how to feel after that, its nice to have a point on the board. But the 2nd half feels like a real missed opportunity because i thought we played pretty well the 2nd 45
