  1. That performance and deserved result lands squarely on the shoulders of Danny Lennon. Completely baffling team selection and tactics . Starting Balitoni at at all was bad enough but to have Page in that back 4 was just criminal as RB also. Page should have started at CH in the absence of Rumsby. Even if he had put in Mortimer at RB would have been better than that back 4. Then expecting them to play from the back was just unbelievable. Everything about Jones has been said before, truly the best ever example of starting with a man down, the single worst CF I’ve ever seen in a Clyde strip! Jamieson was just like a petulant child for him whole time on the pitch.. nowhere near ready to start at this level. We are back to square one with that performance today. As expected by most of us we right back in the relegation mire. Also why wait so long to change, it was obvious after 10 mins we were set up wrong. And why when he did change, put Cuddihy at RB and Mortimer in midfield? Bizarre performance from the whole Clyde team from management to players from start to finish. I can only assume Splain and Rumsby were injured today and Cuddihy not 100% yet?
  2. I have honestly lost count of the number of times this has been mentioned / suggested over the last 20 years, you’d think it would be the simplest of things to do but has never been done. I can’t for the life of me understand why but yet another failure and lack of foresight by successive boards!
  3. Great to have him back, but I’d say his issue in last couple of years is actually staying fit after he returns
  4. https://apple.news/AbIne4pbRQK23ZHWTki2OaQ Not trying to deflect, I accept Goodwillie cannot come back, however it’s amazing such a high profile superstar has not had more media headlines than L1 Scottish player.
  5. Really hope East Fife haven’t improved any. Obviously Jones starting, expected ahhhh! Also that bench! I know we have no real choice after our recruitment debacle but my God, still amazed we have the points we do!
  6. I know, but when he did come on he totally changed the games Even last week; obviously not fit but made the free kick that led to the winner. I actually wasn’t meaning the Goodwillie contribution, I was really making the point we can’t rely on being safe with a forward line of Jones and Tade (starting). This is not a plea to get David Goodwillie back BTW before another shit show starts!
  7. Seriously, can’t see where goal will come from, even if East Fife are struggling or not. Especially if Jamieson isn’t fit. Not that we should be depending on a young loanee, which says everything about Jones! As said before he was / is a baffling signing.
  8. Does anyone know what Gregory has to drink, I’ll have some tonight. Got to admire his positivity right enough
  9. I’ve no way of knowing, but it might be entirely possible that when Goodwillie negotiates his “release” from Raith Rovers there is a clause where can’t play for anyone while being paid by them. Common practice with managers when they are sacked while under contract. Purely conjecture on my part as I said.
  10. I get the feeling Danny will wait to see what happens next 2 games certainly this week as in try / hope get 3 points on Saturday and draw against Dumbarton at least, if not he will have bring some players in. Try to keep budget for next season is a big gamble at this stage.
  11. We simply can’t take him back, the publicity would kill us.
  12. I hope Danny and the board realise and accept that we need some way of adding quality into the midfield and CF positions. Don’t know where from but I’m totally terrified that we will rely on truly the worst Centre forward I can remember in Clyde shirt.
  13. He hasn’t actually started a game for us in recent weeks, he is carrying a couple of different injuries for several weeks so I very much doubt even in normal circumstances he would have played tonight.
  14. I don’t think it will bother him one bit. He like most players won’t read all that stuff and players of his standard just don’t pay any attention to what get hurled at them from stands.. that’s why they are so good, mentality is so strong, in the sporting sense. That said if both parties want to change their minds then fine.
  15. John Mason was back pretty quickly tbh. Probably after the hat trick against Elgin
  16. I’d be interested to know if there are many fans who continued their boycott of the club will now return. Not having a go here not at all, I respect their decision. However, just wondered if it was a significant number in the end? Will they return as of Saturday and buy half season ticket etc? I think football is a habit on a Saturday and those supporters will have found something else to do so doubt a return will happen. Whatever the number ultimately was, I suspect it was very small number in any case.
  17. Agreed, if the club think we will survive with a strikeforce of Jones, Jamieson (decent player but not proved anything yet) and Tade ( let’s take emotion out of this, he is almost finished , other than impact sub) They have to get not only some kind of decent forward and a creative midfielder in just have to
  18. Never a good Captain….whit? We just about owe our very existence as a club to him, we would be rooted at the bottom of the league this year without his goals and assists, if that’s not leading by example as a captain on the field what is, come on!
  19. First 20 mins showed what we are capable of, hopefully if we get even more daylight between us and those below the team can relax and play like that for a more sustained period of time. I’d be interested to know when LJ picked up his injury, he was terrific during opening spell then simply disappeared.
  20. Contrast Malcolm in Alloa Dugout and Allan Moore in Clyde’s. Moore is constantly shouting, encouraging or telling players where to play etc. on match day we essentially have joint managers. Malcolm on the other hand, just stands there looking angry. My abiding memory of him at Broadwood was the night he took the side after Ferguson was sacked. We were awful and he stood at the dugout and said absolutely nothing for 90 mins; no shouts no instruction to players, no conversation even with those around him, not even sure if he made any subs, obviously didn’t want to be there but his behaviour was shocking.
  21. Started really well scored then got deeper and deeper. Defended basically rest of the game, I think 2-3 of the players are running at 80% fitness so hopefully some of the other injured players get back soon. Goodwillie obviously injured but still did more in his time on the field than Jones. Great shift from everyone today and McAllister looks a great addition. Rumsby and Elsdon were under pressure most of the game and held really firm for most of the game. Mention for Docherty, has been terrific in last few weeks and credit to him given the stick he got earlier on in the season, obviously been a real player in his day. Having Livingston in front of him has worked really well. Great 3 points. Alloa are displaying typical Ferguson side, loads of possession and zero end product. No changes of set up to change game and baffling substitutions.
  22. Please to hear Danny mention or at least recognise we really need a proper CM. Although I agree he said that months ago. For what it’s worth I’d 100% have Barry Cuddihy at RB (assuming we get a CM) he is at present probably our best option in midfield but I actually think in L1 he is limited. However at this level he is a very good full back. It would also solve the main issue of our weakness down the right side. Again assuming we get a decent midfield player in!
