  1. Nice to see so much time and effort has gone into the clubs official announcement.
  2. I'm going to probably be in the minority here, it's an age thing. Back in the days Kerr would have been sent to train and play with the youths/reserves and given a few weeks to clear his head. This would also stop the possibilities of him going to one of our possible rivals.
  3. Well this is something to come back home to from a day's shopping. Whichever way you look at it this is bad news. I'll have to digest this all and call back latter.
  4. [quote name="Mr X" post="9074248" timestamp="1419890698" Would we really make any more money if they were under contract than the compensation we'd get? We've got some good young players but none who stand out in the way McArthur etc did Well I don't really know but I would have thought that if the player was signed up on a long time contract it would cost more for a team to buy him than if he was only on a short term deal. No?
  5. Sitting mid table and only conceded 29 goals in 22 games.
  6. The BOD have done very well in the last few years to get Queens where they are now both on and off the park but I think they have missed a trick here. The youngsters we are talking about are the same ones who really started to come of age under Johnston and a lot said then that we should have got them signed up long term. This hasn't seemed to have happened and now we may rue the chance to make some good money if they do move on. Hamilton, Falkirk, Living etc are past masters at doing this and have made a lot of money.
  7. After the performance on Saturday I would be disappointed if there wasn't strong words said in the dressing room as I would hope everyone of them is passionate about this club.As for romours it was a great album by the Mac, and I hope nobody is talking out of class!
  8. Since that game it looks as though some players have dropped their performance levels. McShane and Holt look as though they are still playing to impress whereas the likes of Durnan and Reilly look as though they are just playing within themselves. Hope I'm wrong and not reading to much into this.
  9. By all accounts Splatters has been playing well and the team are on a good run of results with only 1 defeat in ten. It will have done him the power of good to get a run of first team games. I would expect we'll get a better player back in January.
  10. Naw it's not, based on the TV footage. It would just be a waste of money
  11. Nice article again and well written by those guys at Tell him he's Pele http://www.tellhimhespele.com/five-things-we-learned-15-december-2014/
  12. Cher - Gypsys Tramps And Thieves - YouTubewww.youtube.com/watch?v=TOSZwEwl_1Q
  13. Ashley and Board charged with several breaches of dual interests, it just gets better. Will it be a fine(that the probably can't pay) or a points reduction?
  14. Still early days in the season but we possibly saw our two contenders for our goal of the season. Holt's was a great free kick worthy of winning ant game alone, but I would go for Reilly's as it was a great team goal. It started with a great pass out from the defence into midfield where Lyle controlled well before feeding Carmichael. Danny's precision cross into Reilly was a peach and Gav's sublime first touch set him up for a great half volley which was behind Simonsen before he knew it. We will be well and truly blessed to see better goals this season and they were both all the sweeter because of the opposition.
  15. So which victory gives you more pleasure? Friday night was special, first league win since the fifties and possibly the result that see's off their manager, or the glorious cup win which was in their own back yard and in front of their on fans. Difficult as they were both memorable but for me the cup win just shades it due to it going to the tension of the penalty shoot out. I must also add that there was a large core of Friday's team that were also involved in the Ramsden's win.
  16. Not wanting to put a dampener on our wonderful performance last night but I would think it's now inevitable that after that team display the vultures will be lining up to sign up our youngsters. There were some outstanding performances and a couple of really good finishes that had the media buzzing. I think this team could go far but I fear we may be short of a few come January.
  17. And so they should be, the way they and the rest of the team are generally playing. We're at that time of the season where transfer speculation will be rife and our youngsters are as good as any others in this league and have probably more experience of playing at this level. Holt was awarded the other week for making his 100th start and he's still only 21.
  18. I wasn't quite sure where to post this but I suppose this thread is as apt as any and sorry if someone else has posted it somewhere else. Unfortunately the Rangers v Alloa league game due to be played on the 4th April 2015 has had to be postponed, follow link below. http://spfl.co.uk/news/article/fixture-amendment-68/
