Utter tosh! If you don’t win the top league in your respective region, you should not, in any circumstance have a right to be nominated to be in a play-off for promotion to LL.

Play-offs, as they currently stand should only be for those teams who respectively win the top (Region) league and are licensed.  If you are not licensed by now, then surely that has been a choice taken by your team, so you are not compliant with the rules.

I fully agree that bottom 2 (or 3) of LL should be relegated and the winners of top East / West / South* leagues (*if they wish) should be promoted, assuming they have a license.

Where, anywhere else, does a 2nd, 3rd or 8th team etc get a chance of promotion over a league winner. Nonsense of an idea!

And as the SFA have shut the door on applications what are you supposed to do?

  2. This statement put out by Arthurlie today.

STATEMENT || Spectator Disorder and Offensive Chanting
Following yesterday's Scottish Junior Cup Semi Final first leg, Arthurlie Football Club expresses its disappointment at damage to the surroundings of Dunterlie Park and it's disgust at the use of offensive chanting from a section of the away support.
Fan groups bring colour and energy to football grounds and the club welcomes their inclusion in football, however they need to take responsibility for their actions.
On two separate occasions - in the immediate aftermath of Johnstone Burgh's two goals, three pitch-side advertising boards were vandalised. This is unacceptable.
What is more unacceptable is the vile offensive chanting from within the same section of the crowd. This has no place in society, never mind in a football ground.
Whilst no further action is likely to be possible, the individuals responsible, should perhaps reflect on their words and actions and should be educated on their consequences.
The football club looks forward to next week's second leg and hopes it passes without incident.

Just to add, Burgh's Cup form has generally been good this year, knocking out St Cadocs in the Scottish and winning away to Musselburgh Athletic in the SOS Cup.

Although the first leg at Dunterlie will be their first away tie in the Scottish this season.

This will be Arthurlie's first home game in the cup this season.

  4. I thought this was brilliant from Pollok🤣

The club can confirm that following several decades of pesce spelling errors and online pressure, we have taken the decision to add a C to our name.

Henceforth, we will now be known as Pollock Football Club, and papers have been lodged with the Scottish Football Association and West of Scotland Football League to make the change official. If the timing of this move seems fishy then know that this is all part of our goal to grow the club’s brand, and appealing to pescatarians and fans of abstract art will help to reel in a new breed of supporter.

We hope that supporters will get behind this new name as we move into the future as one school!
