As long as he isn’t suggesting players from Chippenham or Rushden and diamonds I’ll be fine with this
He won't be. He's also worked for thistle and was him that suggested Tiffoony to mccall. He's a very knowledgeable guy and knows his stuff. He questioned the mcginley signing straight away when he heard we had signed him.

The only thing worth remaking on about him is that he was the first killie manager I can remember. What’s everybody’s beef with him particularly and not just any other no mark fuckwit to manage Killie?
Ask your da, he wil give hunners of reasons not to like him @Buckfast will clear it up

Hasn't he been in/around the first team squad since McCall? I realise he would have been about 16 when McCall was here, but wasn't he one of the early academy guys to sign pro?
If so that's Kerr, White, Hopkin, Duffy, White, Bullen, White & Brown who haven't fancied him for a prolonged run in the team...I'd be looking to move on too if I wanted regular 1st team minutes
Unless he's one of the guys with a good job away from fitba and doesn't mind his current spot in the Ayr United pecking order
I am led to believe he is Davie Whites nephew.

Nothing really new about abuse from the terraces I guess, though social media does amplify things badly. I remember the abuse that the likes of Simon Stainrod got towards the end and it was no better or worse than anything I’ve heard of late. I guess it’s worse when you can be DM’d on Twitter.I think Bullen has become a lightning rod for general dissatisfaction with the running of the club which is unfair despite his obvious shortcomings. The recruitment has been largely awful, Mathie is in danger of being seen as a noise machine and appointing McGeady as a Trainee Technical Director was just flat out stupid.
In the end, a manager has to be about recruitment, coaching, tactics, man management. The club ambassador stuff is nice to have but can’t cover up when the playing side isn’t working.
In terms of abuse some of it was cringy as f**k tho, bald gillet man for example

Aye, nothing surprising in the content, but it was very well done considering the subject. Steve Coogan will win every award going.
He should but i wouldnt be surprised if he dosnt due to the subject matter.

Speaking of marketing, we used to advertise when the next match was on a big digital ad board on Whitletts. Do we still do that? It's been an age since I've driven in that way.
The locals on whitletts Road across from the board complained about it so it was taken down.

Annoys me that the teaser had him No.10 but he’s wearing No.11 tshirt and shorts
Probably borrowed those to train and prove his fitness before signing and getting a squad number.

Is there possibly any truth to the rumours that he was caught talking to another club without Thistle giving permission?

Mason hasnt done it for a while now, there is a different guy that does it now but he wasnt there today so you could say we were on our 3rd choice today.Maybe just needs gametime.

To be honest, I was glad to hear these things. There is a lot they hide from supporters now, like player injuries, transfers or kit releases. You have some ITK smugly telling you they know but can’t say anything. A certain amount of transparency is a good thing and stops conspiracy theories.
Last seasons kits were a bit of a mess, A Spurs retro kit, a Burnley tribute kit and an away kit that was fine. It was like the days of having Nike templates that were used by half the junior teams. It doesn’t feel like an Ayr strip if Cumnock wear the same one and the same colour scheme.
I’ve not seen any request for engagement but as long as some fans are being involved then hopefully it will be a bit better.
We asked the fans for engagement 2 years ago and ended up with that horrific blue and green kit. The vote might have been hijacked by rival fans but I'm all for keeping the fans away from the choice if that's what we end up with.

Who was it who tried for a long throw in the 1st half then threw the ball with the strength of a sick child?
