A right back who can run down the line and fire over crosses is a must. If only Mustapha Dumbaya was younger, not crocked, etc!

Dumbaya was only good when angry, don’t forget the passive shitebag we were mostly accustomed to.

Can’t remember who it was against but I remember his shoulder check on someone after a bad challenge. Prompting him to go on to play an absolute worldie…only to attempt an overhead kick and land on his neck and injurying himself 🙃

watched as the staff member poured me a 250ml cup of Irn Bru out of a 2L bottle - the bottle was marked with a RRP at the time of £1 -and charged me £2.50 for it. If we could make that profit on players we'd be in the Champions League.

Not a criticism of Thistle specifically as 99% of clubs will take the same approach.

This annoys me too. It just encourages you to sneak stuff into a ground or go hungry/thirsty.

Big heid-the-baw centre halves are / should be ten a penny at this level. After a slow start which is understandable given he was going from the 6th tier to the 2nd, McBeth looked as if he had more about him on the ball that would merit playing him in midfield and hopefully he can be the proper Abdul Osman replacement we've needed for about 7 years (Docherty was fine but not quite same type of player)

Obviously McBeth can cover CB if there are injuries but I'm glad we missed out on Byrne and signed Ashcroft (if signing one stopped us signing the other) if it allows McBeth to play in midfield

Personally don’t see McBeth being same level on the ball as a pre-“ItsNotEasy” Osman, who was also a top shithouse.

Hopefully a proper pre-season for McBeth will have a meaningful impact for him.

Is that the case though?  Football tops seem to be in this weird space where it really doesn't matter what they look like, plenty of people are going to queue up to buy it anyway, regardless of the ridiculous amounts they're charging these days.  The new Scotland top is fucking hopeless, and people are still snapping it up.

I do agree with the wider point though, would like to see some options so they can gauge interest, and at least give the notional impression that if one was uniquely unpopular, they wouldn't go with it.

EDIT: And just to add, I'd imagine even something truly horrific in terms of design will probably appeal to some people out there.  People voluntarily support no mark Premier League sides they've got no connection to.  People are awful and can't be trusted.

I agree that sections of every fanbase buy the latest kit regardless of how it looks.

For a club of our size, we need to maximise income from everything. So dont give people an excuse not to buy if they're on the fence kinda thing.

Ha. I quite liked him in spells with us, cant mind why it all faded away for him in the end. Cracking goal from halfway against iirc St Johnstone, scored a good brave header from close range (got clattered by the keeper i think) against Dundee too, dunno if was just a Sammonesque purple patch.

Im just diving into silly season tbh 😁

While I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you, we did manage 7 goals in the 4 playoff games, with many more chances created, particularly in the last match.

I personally felt without Lawless, we tended to go route one to Graham or kick and rush for Fitzpatrick.

So when a team did a low block to us, we struggled to create proper chances. Others will see it differently and have different takes though.
