This game, the following week against Munster and the Edinburgh tie will shape the rest of the season. Agree with the comments on laidlaw. Cusiter should when fit be first choice at 9 with Pyrgos the preferred option from the bench.

I think the money could be better spent elsewhere. Put towards the academy system the sru are developing or additional funding for Glasgow and Edinburgh. Think it's something like 4 million a year between sport Scotland and the sru spent on 7s.

Strauss is eligible for Scotland the day the world cup kicks off. They should involve him in the squads around the six nations, although not available to play it would make sense to have him involved in training/routines.

How well are Cusiter and Laidlaw playing in England? Are they both seeing much in the way of game time? I thought Cusiter would be a big loss for Glasgow this season but Pyrgos is doing a great job at filling his boots so far. 9 & 10 pairing of Pyrgos and Weir for the AI tests?

Should be a cracking game today between Glasgow and Bath, both had a good run of wins before losing last week. Scotstoun pretty close to a sell out for it also.

Two big games coming up next, Ulster away then the european tie at Scotstoun against Bath who are on fire at the moment. Glasgow have been getting the results without getting out of 3rd gear in games. Will need to step up their game in the next couple of weekends then hope players come back from the Autumn tests with few injury worries.

I applied for Scotland v Japan and the game against Samoa. Apparently the Pro 12 will continue during the World Cup, seems a bit harsh more specifically on Glasgow as they will be decimated by call ups for the World Cup.

I wouldn't say Glasgow are punching above expectation. Year on year they have improved, league position shows that 4th, 3rd, 2nd. I'd say they are exactly where they should be, expected to finish in the top 2 or 3 come the seasons end. A good mix of Scottish or scots qualified players and the Fijians have worked well for them. The move to scotstoun also helped galvanise the whole club, a proper home base rather than sharing with Thistle as they had been. Edinburgh need gutting out from top to bottom. A move from murrayfield wouldn't do them any harm either.

Pyrgos is steady at scrum half, bit more balanced and predictable than Niko. I think Glasgow need that, they had it with Cusiter and in time I think Pyrgos will improve to become as good as Cusiter was for Glasgow. Edinburgh have become a joke, stuffed with Southern Hemisphere journeymen. Solomans all last season blamed poor performances on the lack of time pre season with the squad and not having the right players. This is his squad now. The SRU need to correct what's going on there, both pro sides are supposed to groom players for the step up to international level. Edinburgh only had 5 scots born players in yesterday's squad. Currently nobody from Edinburgh would get a game for Glasgow or should they get a starting spot for Scotland.

I applied for the games against Japan and Samoa. Cat c tickets for both games, Can't justify paying more than that for those games! Also around that time would be renewing or have already renewed the season ticket for Glasgow and more than likely the Scotland pass for Murrayfield.

Great win away yesterday for Glasgow, two of the tougher fixtures to kick off the campaign and two wins so no complaints. Pyrgos seems to be a good steady scrum half and i'm sure he'll improve with increased game time. Applied for some world cup tickets, disappointed with some of the pricing. Top band pricing for the game against South Africa is £175, thats almost as much as my season ticket at scotstoun!

I thought they just went on general release in September. Do you register through the SRU?
