  1. Ticket sales to English club rugby supporters/members etc delayed.

Tickets for Scotland's games go on sale in September. I imagine if you're a season ticket holder with either pro team or the national team you'll get first crack at them. Prices from 20 up to 85 quid.

  2. I'd imagine there would be scope to extend/rebuild the North stand (I sit there) so that it would almost mirror the south stand. That would bump up capacity by 1000 or so possibly. I don't see them building anything permanent behind the posts beyond the running track. It would encroach on the pitches behind one end for a start.

It's a Glasgow life/city council property so anything would have to be done through them. Also when the stadium was rebuilt and the lease agreed I don't think either party imagined that Glasgow would be selling out games probably seen as on opportunity for the council to make money on a venue that's mainly sitting unused, remember it's still supposed to be predominantly an athletics venue.

Ticket bought this afternoon for the final.

  3. Regardless of what happens in the final there's certainly a feel good factor around Glasgow and year on year they seem to be improving. The move to scotstoun has been great for the club.

Hopefully Edinburgh can get their house in order but I think they need wholesale changes in coaching also they need a more suitable home, I don't think murrayfield is working for them.

  4. Flight booked for Dublin.

Cusiter will be a massive loss for Glasgow, as much as I like NIko I feel glasgow are a better side with Cusiter at scrum half. I think Pyrgos is a work in progress who will grow in to the position in time, with niko being more of an impact player to come off the bench when glasgow perhaps need to push the game.

Finn Russell is looking like the real deal so the loss of Jackson won't be as keenly felt as that of cusiter.

  5. Awesome. As mentioned above it felt more like a football type atmosphere tonight. Given what was at stake people did get more riled at referees decisions. Few dodgy calls especially the the glasgow lineout in the second half and giving a lineout in favour of munster when it blatantly went in to touch off a munster player.

Brilliant achievement from Glasgow, that's as good as I've felt at the end of any game I've been to outside of Scotland beating France at Hampden. Let's go win the fckn thing now.

Also get it round you the Welsh pundits on scrum v who dismissed glasgow as an average workman like side who despite winning more games than any other side this season got lucky to make the playoffs.

  6. Collected my tickets on Monday for the semi final v Munster. Glasgow named their team today, Cusiter back in as well as Finn Russell in for Duncan Weir.

Think this should be pretty close to a sell out.

BT to secure naming rights to Murrayfield for the next five years.

  7. Any kind of win away to Treviso would do then with Zebre in the final game at home I'd expect a big score and bonus point. Niko at scrum half for the last 10-15 minutes and bring on Carlin Isles tell him it's 7s and have him run at a tiring Zebre.

  8. Fingers crossed there are no slip ups and Glasgow can get a home tie for the semi final.

Here's a question though, the final is held at the stadium of whoever finished highest in the league of the two finalist is that correct? Maybe needs reviewed in future.

With the European cup restructure and increased exposure via the sky deal and a new league sponsor next season I'd expect the pro 12 to be even more competitive for next season.

  9. Surprised that Jackson is going to Wasps though in fairness I don't pay much attention to premiership rugby so have no idea where they currently stand in league position. Just a big club with no doubt a large player pool.

Also surprised that he starts the game tomorrow. Unless for the sake of injuries I wouldn't have tinkered too much with last weeks team.

  10. There's a piece about the goings on at Edinburgh on the bbc sport site. Glasgow seem to have the right balance of home grown experienced players, blooding younger players and great contributions from the overseas players in the squad. DTH, Strauss, Nico have all been good effective players for Glasgow. Edinburgh since the change of coach in the summer have flooded their squad with average players to the detriment of scots. The whole point of both sides should be to filter players to the international side having first played at a high level (pro12, European cup).

  11. I've started watching this recently and I can't stop. Everything about it is perfect and even the episodes that aren't so good (like the one about the poo in the bed) are still passable. Charlie has to be one of my favourite characters in anything.

Any other fans? I'm so happy it's been recommissioned for season 10 and 11.

The poo in the bed episode is the one where Dee want's her the waitress and Artemis to be like the sex and the city cast and the waitress just gets hammered?

  12. DTH also apparently leaving Glasgow for Ulster.

I wouldn't have Euan Murray at scotstoun or as part of the Scotland set up anymore. With European (Heineken) cup games at times being on Sundays as well as internationals I think it upsets the balance of a side to have him playing then dropping out because of his refusal to play Sundays.

  13. Early days with Russell but he looks a very good prospect. With his arrival Jackson won't be a great loss, not sure where he will end up, perhaps even a move Edinburgh? He'd benefit from regular game time. Think him and weir being rotated at 10 didn't do either guy any favours.

  14. Good win for Glasgow tonight, 6 of their last 8 games are at home. Need to make home advantage count in the push for play offs again.

Cusiter will be a big miss when he goes, Calling Nico a loose cannon at scrum half is a bit of an understatement. Not sure if the plan is to bring in someone else or go with Pyrgos as another option at 9.

  15. Steven Regal is great on the two podcasts with Austin.

I'm pleased that he's still involved with WWE in some capacity. Younger wrestlers could learn so much from him.

I also like that he's got no problems in naming people he didn't like or get on with, when mentioning his time in wcw he travelled with Austin, Pillman, stuck around with those guys and Benoit etc. Then mentions that Bagwell and Marc Mero (Johnny b Badd) where more interested in getting tanned and eating egg whites than wrestling.

  16. Former wCw "star", wwe wrestler for one night and now apparent male prostitute Marcus "buff" Bagwell has suggested that CM Punk isn't credible as top guy as he's not big enough.

I remember the classic Judy Bagwell on a pole match, later changed to Judy Bagwell on a forklift truck from Buffs wcw days.
