  1. That was a good watch. Celtic popping it around, some decent link-up play and goals.

I think Celtic’s press kept Hearts and Shankland quiet today. Clark made some terrific saves, that double save was outrageous and should be one of our keepers on the plane next month

At the other end Hart kept it from becoming a nervy encounter.
Still need to see more from Kühn, why doesn’t he shoot when in great positions!?
Jamesy Forrest was looking sharp today, committing defenders & opening up spaces.
Kyogo’s second was sublime, how’s your touch lad? The vision to follow that over your shoulder & place it past the keeper on the volley is great technique.
O’Riley with another peach of a pen.

That sets the tone for next weekend’s encounter with Rangers and hopefully another 3pts.

  2. Celtic need to get to grips with Shankland. CCV and Scales haven’t really formed that formidable partnership, fair play to Scales for getting his deal, he’s worked hard for it.
Johnston and Taylor will need to put a shift in today.
I’d probably start with Kühn and Forrest on the left, we’ve also got Palma so no need force Maeda in too early.
Should be a good game today.

  3. That was tense! Great scottish cup semi for the neutral. Got to give Aberdeen credit for their performance and challenge in coming back from the brink of defeat.

From a Celtic point of view, we controlled most of the game but didn’t quite have that decisive instinct in the final third that we’ve been showing recently.

McGregor is so far off it at the moment and our defence looks vulnerable.

Honourable mentions to Forrest and O’Riley who gave us something to build on.

Big Joe trying to convert the penalty gave me palpitations but made up for in in the end, that guy deserves a great send-off from football.

I don’t give Jimmy T much hope with THE most uninspiring and apathetic fans in scottish football.

Might be before your time but neuchatel xamax?

Lost badly away in Switzerland, game back in Glasgow on BBC get pen after a couple of mins Charlie Nic blasts over bar, won on the night but a case of what might have been.

Uefa cup 1991, I should remember this but my brain lost a good few cells in the 90’s.
    Think I’ll investigate further, thanks.

  5. Looking forward to this one, lots at stake and let’s just hope it’s the football we’re taking about when the result is in.
Great to have CCV and Hatate fit for this, just a shame we could miss a fully firing McGregor and of course I think Palma could’ve done some damage at Ibrox if he was available.

This could really go either way, my fear is Rangers could indeed, with Beaton calling the shots, shithouse their way to a victory.
That being said, Celtic no longer have that blistering start to games and it usually takes them a full half to find their way to goal.

I don't think Connie makes it easy on herself asking him about how he's feeling and when he's going to smile and all that. He opens up more to Jane Lewis in my opinion who asks less personal questions.

When he was asked about Shankland redeeming himself i almost seen his eyes turn black.
You’d just shrug it off with the old stock response ‘strikers eh, what they like’ instead of making it a bigger issue than it is.

Given how off it our wingers have been of late I wouldn't mind seeing Kyogo out there a bit, I think he's abit too lightweight for be playing deeper for us at times. I think Vata might find his pitch time very limited again unfortunately as apparently he's turned down another new deal.

Ah, wasn’t aware he’d turned down a new deal. Shame that, thought he had potential.

  8. I’d start Kyogo. I know BR doesn’t fancy OH but there’s no reason why him and Idah can’t be rotated. Also an opportunity to put some more minutes in Jamesy Forrest and young Vata legs.
We’re going to need to utilise our full squad in this run-in, better to get them match sharp.

No chance of the ref being brave enough to chop that goal off for offside, after the fuss that celtic have made about VAR.

A said no "the rangers" fans allowed on this thread sunshine  .........

In his defence, I don’t think Bennett is actually a Rangers fan, he just absolutely hates Celtic.

Hearts are a wee bit better than us, with a striker that scores goal, so i doubt it.

In an alternate universe Livi will have a go at Celtic and at least give them a game, isn't fucking this universe though.

Well let’s hope we’re talking about the football on Sunday rather than the decisions.
