  1. I hope Stranraer finish above Clyde. It's always a nice trip to Stranraer where as a visit to Clyde's rented home is a non event. Even the pies and sausage rolls are crap. However, give Clyde their due. Whoever has pumped the money into them in January deserves some reward I suppose. If Clyde end up bottom, toss a coin who I'd rather survive between them and EK. Clyde have ploughed the cash in from January where as EK have thrown the cash in from the beginning of the season. It's a pity both can't be in the lowland league next season.

If you’d read my previous posts, like you said you had, you’ll know I’ve never had a dig at Martynuik as a player (or as a goal scorer), rather at the fact he’s played at CB which isn’t his position and I think he struggles there …. I’m actually taking a dig at the management for asking him to play out of position, which I find bizarre.

And the big striker (McGachie) is still the best striker we have. He’s not had the best of seasons (mainly due to injuries) but he’s still a handful for defenders.

As far as I'm aware, Martynuik has played most of his games for Bonnyrigg in the position he's playing now but feel free to correct me if i'm wrong. All his managers obviously have a different opinion from yourself but you're entitled to have a dig at them as you pay your entrance money. I note his peers have voted him into the league 2 team of the season so they all must disagree with you as well. As for the striker, everybody has a backside and everybody has an opinion but I'd much rather have my "best striker" sticking the ball into the net rather than just be a handful for defenders.

Congrats guys on pretty much securing survival. I thought use where down and out for a while although the new manager bounce has worked so fair play. Hopefully see you guys next year…

So the Rose have stumbled and staggered like a dazed prize fighter away from relegation …. only a bizarre freak collapse next week involving a c12 goal turnaround between the Stranraer and Rose games stops that. But what learnings do we take into next season? I think the biggies are:

    1. We need a clear out of players. Robbie was too loyal to some and they’re not good enough at this level (and Martynuik isn’t a CB!!). We need strong, tall, dominant CBs; a creative midfielder; and someone to score goals. For a club with no sugar daddy, this is a big ask with limited funds

    2. Something needs to happen about our pitch, it’s a mud bath for 10+ games a season. We seem to get better results away from home and that’s surely due to the pitch!! Some may point to our poor facilities but the priority is the pitch. But again, no sugar daddy so do we have the funds? If we spend on players, we can’t afford the pitch …. catch-22!!

What we know is the other clubs WILL invest in better players, so the standard will step up - so we need to improve just to stand still …. otherwise next season will be another squeaky bum relegation dogfight 😖

Wow Broonaldo, is Neily a neighbour of yours who plays loud music 'till 4 in the morning? On looking at your previous posts, he seems to be the only player you have a dig at!!! On looking at your teams' performances over the season, I would suggest there are more problem areas than where he plays. I've always felt a team should defend from the front. That doesn't happen with the Rose as the big striker allows the opposition defenders all the time in the world. Also  have you ever stopped to think why so many balls come into Bonnyrigg's box?? Simply down to the fact that there are too many players who do not work hard enough to stop the crosses coming in. You seem to have a bee in your bonnet about Martynuik but I hate to think where you'd be without his goals. Anyway, more or less job done by the Rose barring a freak result next Saturday. I can agree with you on something though. Change is needed both on and off the park but without major investment, it's going to be difficult. Here's hoping you get a good result on Saturday and a happy ending to the season. Maybe you can post something nice after the game...... but I won't hold my breath.

Nobody has said Scullion is innocent in all this. Nobody.

I think everybody is in agreement that the actions of the Bonnyrigg supporter and the Clyde player is totally unacceptable and disgusting. However, just one question, what would have happened if, instead of walking to the Bonnyrigg supporters and taunting them, the Clyde player had stayed with his team mates in the centre of the pitch and celebrated the win. Answer = NOTHING.

That was an absolute disgrace today, had you offered me a draw before the game kicked off I would’ve been happy (notwithstanding the other results today). Cruising the first half then to capitulate a 3-0 advantage 🙈 Defend at the front, clear your lines at every opportunity, keep possession as much as you can, it’s not rocket science. There’s negative and there’s suicidal tactics. Defending deep against a pretty slick team is rarely going to work, not recognising that down the left flank is where they’re getting penetration is amateur. Honestly, if we held on at 3-2 it would’ve still felt like a defeat.

The pitch invasion at the equaliser,, as always our stewards failed miserably. The one that decided that running about for ages gesturing gets thrown out, really should’ve been lifted and received a banning order, school boy or  not.

Full time outside, more trouble from this new mob that I’d never seen at Station Park before the Hibs game, now causing trouble every week. The security manage to hound out a few sets of young ones before that were really no trouble, largely just youthful exuberance but this new lot are intent on bother yet aren’t getting the same attention?

Feel sorry for the p/t stewards trying to control young guys just out to cause bother.

  6. 2 sub appearances as well, I think.

Listen, not trying to wind anyone up. He really was poor in those few appearances in a Berwick shirt. Our fans laugh and cringe at the same time when his name is mentioned.

But yeah, he was young and obviously Hibs must have seen something in him at one time. Perhaps we just saw a particularly bad day at the office.

You're correct about sub appearances.- looked back to find out he got 12 minutes against Albion Rovers. He played against us in February for Montrose when big Hendo scored the winner in a 1-0. I though he played well that day but then again, he played about 10 games for Montrose in his loan spell up there so was maybe finding his rhythm. Bear in mind how many games it has taken big Bob Wilson to find his feet....... Anyway, in the grand scheme of things, everyone is entitled to opinions. i'm just someone that finds it hard to slaughter any youngester after just one 90 minutes game, no matter how bad he played.
