  1. I don't understand why no one at the sfa/spfl is actually questioning what is going on at ibrox.

On the face of it you have a debt free club that had a successful flotation and 30000 odd season ticket holders.

Yes ally has overspend but if the figures are to be believed squad wages are sitting at 25 -35% of turnover. Even allowing for all the stupid bonuses etc. the club should surely not be in danger of going under. Yet the figures released by the board show that it is.

Am starting to think that it is getting run as some sort of money laundering / tax avoidance scheme for the likes of the easdales. Would explain why they are overpaying for everything.

Maybe this is why they are so reluctant for king or anyone else for that matter to get involved.

  2. Far Sal would do well to look at the history books and see the cases of teams which were put together with the intention of steamrollering all in their path and yet still failed.

Top on my memory list is Marseille in 1979-80 when their first team included 10 internationals. They were amongst the favourites to win the league. However, the team didn't gel and Marseille were relegated to D2. To make matters worse the final game was against Brest who had won only 3 of their 37 games and had 13 points (2 pts for a win). Admittedly both teams were by now relegated but Brest hammered Marseille 7-2 to make the shame complete.Marseille had the common sense to get rid of all the big names and base their new team round the players from their youth academy. In time this led to the successful team which was bought by Tapie and the European Cup victory.

This was a once-in-a-lifetime chance for Rangers to develop a new young team, perhaps over a number of years while building up the infamous warchest. They would then have been the target for a massive takeover. However their typical short-sighted, get-rich-quick mentality has doomed that to failure. If ever Rangers needed a manager with the know-how to bring on youngsters now is the time but they have stuck with "a Rangers man" who is out of his depth. The only way they will come back, should they even survive the monetary problems of the next few months, will be to learn a bit of patience and appoint a manager, even on silly wages which are currently going to unenthusiastic over-paid players, who knows how to develop young players. Buying success is no longer an option.

Totally agree with this. Mcoist is a total fool he is just making the same mistakes that rangers have alway made. They would have been better looking through the leagues 1-3 and buying players that know how to compete there and added them to their youth players. The boy mcallister for peterhead is the perfect example, a cracking player who will scores goals in league 1-3 for fun. Instead sally goes and gets kyle and sandaza on stupid wages only because the sevco fans have heard of them. Kyle will be lucky if he plays twelve games due to his injury problems and sandaza whilst a good player will probably not fancy the games away from ibrox.

Then in his post match interview sally talks about getting more players so expect more spl journeymen who will take the places of the youngsters in the team. Total joke

  3. The Big tax case cannot be pinned on Sevco - they are a completely new company that happens to own the assets of the old one. It is however still ongoing, though things very quiet. Channel 4 News Alex Thompson has been chasing HMRC and Ministry of Justice but getting nowhere.

My understanding of it is HMRC will turn it to Murray to try and get their money back. They arent however finished with rangers and I think as soon as they are in league and start making money again they will make their move. Put it this way you havent heard the last of the traynor, mccoist etc bleating about getting dealt with harshly.

And to think it didnt even have to come to this if they had just made a deal with HMRC instead of telling them to ram it.

  4. This news about old rangers losing 4 million in the space between Feb and June shines a light on something that no one has really considered at least at the sfa etc have newco got the funds to last a season. Is this why there is such a push to get them in the first division.

At the moment they will be losing money as there is all this infighting over season tickets etc. If the season starts and they are in Div 3 there must be concerns that they wont survive. I dont believe they will have the same fanbase ie 45,000 a week more like 10000-20000 while this will dwarf the rest of the teams they will have to operate at Div 3 prices but still have significant outlay for the Police who by the way they still havent paid their debt to so they will have to pay that upfront.

Then there is the subject of players and other staff who have moved across from the old club. While am sure McCulloch isnt earning huges sums relative to what rangers used to pay it will certainly be more that most spl players considering there is also wallace, goian, alexander and maybe a few others on the same wages. How are they going to meet these commitments when their only real income is going to be gate money twice a month?

Then there is their tax liabilites how are they going to pay these as HMRC wont just lie down and take it this time. I am quite sure that as soon as the club starts operating they will be asked to start paying their taxes upfront before they have made the money. If HMRC didnt do this and were stung again there would be a huge scandal.

As I said at the start this is the real issue and am quite sure its been disclosed to doncaster, regan etc, which would explain the big push to try and get them in the spl and now the attempt to get them in the 1st.

  5. I'm assuming you can provide proof of this or as i said, you don't have a fuckin clue.Feel free to keep spouting your pish, but at least do it in the appropriate forum, oh that's right, servco don't have a league to play in,do they?

Frank De Bear must work for the bank to have all this wonderful inside information in which case congratulations you are the first rangers supporter I have come across that actually works. Well done sir!

You must however be a cleaner or something like that and stumbled across a bit of paperwork and not having the education have misunderstood it, because a genuine company ie not sevco rarely goes straight into liquidation as this denies the bank etc a chance to get more money back. The idea that Kilmarnock are just going to go straight into liquidation is just stupid. Your club had predicted debts of over 134 million yet managed to drag along for 4 months with no cut backs before finally being put out of its misery.

I think the very worst that will happen to Killie is that they will go into administration and because they dont have HMRC breathing down their necks a CVA will be agreed.

Surely you should be more worried about your own club which doesnt have a league to play in yet and is probably about to get a very large tax bill to prepay their taxes.

  6. Traynor is a buffon. His coverage of this saga has been disgraceful from start to finish. I would like to ask him if clubs are going to struggle so badly without rangers why have they been signing players. Hibs to my knowledge have signed 2 or 3, Aberdeen have signed 2 and Dundee Utd one of the teams that is supposedly going into administration have signed 4 players. Now I know all these teams have lost players on free transfers and these are the replacements but why wouldnt they save money and just promote some youngsters if things are so tight.

Moving on what is the deal with sky if they are really going to pull out why not start speaking to BT, Virgin, ESPN or the BBC or a combination of these companies and sell the rights to them. I am sure that if the league was compitively priced then the rights would be snapped up. Sky is not the only show in town so if that really is the threat start looking for someone else. Doncaster would have been better employed sorting this out rather than try to bully and bribe sfl clubs to take on Rangers.

The only place for Rangers to start is in the third division and prove to everyone that they have changed as they climb the leagues.

  7. As usual with rangers or the rangers or whatever they call themselves these days they want to have their cake and eat it.

We are told the punishments for crimes committed by Rangers "1872 version" shouldnt apply as they are now a new entity. A new entity according to their support that should get to start again at the top of scottish football and have all its history in place.

So basically they want to keep all the good things about 1872 gers but avoid the bad points. Same old gers then

  8. That's the first I've heard of that. If HMRC did request a years tax to be paid up front then Green would have to substantially increase the amount of his investment. If he somehow got a CVA then he'd have to top up his £8.5million loan with enough extra to cover this future tax bill. In the event of the newco in addition to paying the creditors £5.5million for the assets he'd have to loan the club the amount of this future tax bill then get the club to repay him over his first year in charge.

Either way I wouldn't be confident that the Green Brigade could find the extra capital required (nobody seems to know how much funds they have available, all we do know is that they've paid £200k so far to H&D).

Also, don't forget Charles Green is due to "take the helm" at the Rangers this Wednesday. (link: http://www.guardian....ransfer-embargo). Odds on another delay from H&D on that one?

They cant do it for PAYE but they can do it for VAT and Corporation Tax. Its a way to prevent them getting done over and over again. Fairly sensible as if they couldnt do it dodgy companies would just liquidate over and over again. All they need to prove is the new company is carrying on the same business and is effectively the same. i dont think this will be to difficult in rangers case.

  9. I havent seen this written here yet and certainly not by the papers who seem to be missing this fact when the write about the rosy future of the **** but I find this quite amusing.

Lets just assume it all goes rangers way they force through their cva or go Newco and the EBT case doesnt get called.for a while yet. HMRC policy when they have been done out of money by a company who has refused to pay tax is to make the company pay the tax up front for the next year. So green better get finding 10 million!!! That will fairly nuke his war chest.. Oh did I mention that it has to get paid within 30 days

  10. It is people like you that make my blood boil...Reveling in other teams misery because you choose to support some shitty team that contributes very little in the grand scheme of things but feel so superior to Rangers suporters...f**k off!!

Why should i and 50,000 other Rangers fans along with the estimated 1 million armchairfans allow your club to live off our money whilst we are unfairly penalised?

You and the other diddies have lived of Rangers for too long and now your chairman are worried things are going titis up..Yep they most certainly are. I have always defended the Scottish game as a whole but after reading the utter drivel that is posted on here on a daily basis i have had enough. It is long over due that Rangers looked after No.1 and starting from next season that is exactly what we will be doing...First thing i do when i get my Season Ticket renewal form in is cancel my CCCS..No away games from me or anybody i know.

OK it wont kill you off but it will lead to a massive reduction in your income and will mean the loss of players and staff at every SPL except for maybe celtic.

I hear diddiies like you are going to boycott Ibrox    That boycot has been going on since 1986 and has made very little difference.

54 TITLES AND STILL GOING STRONG

This is the attitude that makes your club so universally despised. You and your club are the equivalent of the school bully. I cant think of any other big club in any other league that behaves in the way rangers have and continue to do. The refusal of your club, its fans and former players to accept the reality of this situation is quite simply breathtaking.

For years we have all had to put with your unsufferable bleating about how you are to good for scotland and how your club is going to takeover europe etc etc. It was all lies built on dodgy deals and double contracts. The fans of your club are just as responsible as if Murray had turned round and said the money had run out he would have faced a riot. Every other club and their fans had to face reality with the exception of perhaps hearts and live within their means. Not rangers though they continued to spend like there was no tommorow.

This season your club decided that they werent going to pay tax and instead used the money to buy players in the hope that they could get into the champions league like so many of your other european adventures this was unmitigated disaster. Has Sally or the players said sorry for their role is screwing the club over? No life at Rangers just continues as normal no one accepts responsibilty for anything and it is always somebody else fault.

Your clubs runs out of cash and goes into administration and all we here about is how the creditors better accept this CVA as rangers have to keep their history. No thought for all the families and businesses that are going to struggle because your club cant be bothered paying bills.

The SFA actually did you a favour and didnt throw you out of football all together. Do we hear a sorry from rangers and their fans and an acceptance of their wrong doing. Hell no its all about how unfair it is because you cant be competitive with Celtic and talks of boycotting other teams for a reson I still cant fathom we have all paid our tax and played to the rules.

In short your club and your fellow fans have no moral compass and go against everything that sportmanship is supposed to stand for. The fact that no one including my own clubs chairman has not stood up to Rangers now or in the past is to their eternal discredit.
