  1. Who's the second ?

Celtic are in no danger and have plenty of time to restructure to meet any likely shortfall from the demise of Rangers ... we are debt free at the moment so even in season 2013/14 we could absorb losses if required whilst restructuring ....

I doubt that can be said of many SPL clubs ... so who are you referring to ?

tongue.gifCalm your jets Captian Paranoia, he's talking abouth both teams from Govan, old and new.

  2. Hurray!!! We have won this battle and I will now quite happily swagger to Easter Road, get my season ticket and my new Hibs top.

BUT let's not stop there. One down, one to go.

We still have to rearrange the voting system, television shares and league winners shares.

It's nice to know we probably have a 3 year window at least for this to come to fruition: but the following must be done:

Voting System: All decisions require a 7-5 majority. This will forever end the chance of 2 teams voting for their own sake and noone elses. It also stops a chance in the future for example of 2 ggow and 2 edinburgh clubs doing this, making the voting system genuinely represent what the majority want.

Television rights: ALL television money is equally distributed to all 12 teams. No matter how many games your team is involved in, equality is key to spread quality throughout the league.

League prize money: Sure, have incentives to finish higher, but the current gap between 1&2nd then the rest is a flipping joke. We need much smoother winnings for league positions.

    Let's go for the juggular.

    Well done the SPL chairman.

Ach ehm,..and SFL Chairmen, thank you please. wink.gif

  3. Just an idea unsure.gif.

All SPL clubs resign from the SPL and all apply to join the SFL at the bottom tier

The SFL re-name SFL 1st as SFL Premiership.

    SFL 2nd becomes SFL 1st

    SFL 3rd becomes SFL 2nd

Sevco apply to join new SFL 3rd

    SKY deal dies

New Sky deal made with SFL 3rd.

SPL Chairman get to play with the cheats

SFL Chairman as we were- except we play in Europe till you all catch up .

As the bigger diddys come up the leagues the wealth gets evenly spread and we can all still laugh at at Green's team struggling /not getting paid/cheating for another season or two before they go eventually go into administration .

    just saying wink.gif

  4. Just watched the BBC news. The lone protester has to be the funniest thing i've seen in ages.

Anyone else think we should all take in a Raith Rovers game this coming season. A tribute to the only chairman with Baws in Scottish football. The guy is a legend.

The Orcs can win what they like today, but the fact remains they are skint. Nae money, nae proper team and Sally is AWOL!

huh.gifThats harsh on the Chairmen of these clubs Morton, Dunfermline,Clyde, Peterhead who also all made very good statements.

  5. Don't know if this has been posted on here yet but Morton's Chairman's piece in the Scotsman make Pleasing reading biggrin.gif

    Dougie Sticks The Boot In

""I think the SFA will be surprised at the strength of feeling among First Division clubs against Rangers going straight in at that level. They should be treated the same way as any other club. Rangers should have the same punishment as Livingston and be banished to the Third Division"

  6. Email Sent To SFA/SFL

    Dear Sirs,

I understand from today’s media broadcasts and websites that a deal has been struck to parachute a brand new club with no history , no accounts, three players and no proof to show they have funds enough to fulfil a season’s fixtures straight into the second tier of Scottish football .

If the above is not true as I’m sure it is not (as league fixing is surely as frowned apron as match fixing) then can you please explain why the above is being discussed as fact on our National TV, radio and press without a denial from this country’s footballing governing bodies ?

I look forward to your reply.

    Kind regards

Mr Green's ambitions for a new club may also be thwarted if liquidators from BDO decide to challenge the asset sale.

Liquidators have the power to unpick any transactions which they believe are not in the best interests of creditors.

No players, No Stadium, No Trainning Ground, No Licence, No Dignity, No Remorse, No class. Stick a fork in it - it's done!

  8. One thing I keep hearing is that , on liquidation, IP would be up for grabs, but only as a football park since the demand for housing land in Govan is non-existent. What about housing land in the West End. I don't want to upset the Jags fans (ok, i don't give a sh1t, in fact I might enjoy winding them up), but would it not make sense for the Jags to sell Firhill and move to Ibrox? What's the land value of Firhill? It's no' B-listed or anything, is it? Nice, newish, shiny stadium for £2million?

Or how about Clyde coming (nearly) home? When I was a (very wee) boy, Glasgow had 6 teams, now there are only 4, Third Lanark gone in 67 and Clyde moved out to Cumbernauld. They could groundshare at IP with the Jags.

  9. That's optimistic in the extreme IMO. Not the league placing, that would be excellent with the sanctions you would be faced with, but do you really thing the majority of Rangers fan would be happy with that under any circumstances? I was on the bus beside some Rangers fan on Sunday, and they were saying nothing less than top was acceptable in any circumstances, and they seemed like fairly reasonable guys

I remember this thread when it was all fun and laughter with hope and joy . Now look at it sad.gif

  10. All these arseholes showing their club's hand is playing right into the hands of Celtic.

They'll be pretty confident that they will be able to vote against Rangers (despite actually wanting them in there) to appease the dissenters in their support, but the vote to allow them in will be carried by the 'diddies'.

    Maybe that's just

what the "diddies" want Celtic to think- A plan so cunning it might just work ph34r.gif
