  1. At least you’re seeing the game, this is what an International subscription gets you
  2. When we won the league under Gus, we were ~6th highest scoring team in the league but we were solid at the back. Jim has got us playing very similar football but as both he and Gus found out, Premiership players will still create chances and very quickly if you concede the game is gone because you just don't carry enough threat to score goals. The St Mirren Nil title is alive and well and by the end of Gus's tenure I was hoping for relegation just to see us have a go at teams. Jim is rightly being given more grace because of his popularity and positivity but the product is still poor. Do I want him sacked tomorrow, no but if things don't improve then he will need to go. We have too much quality in the squad to accept underperforming coaches.
  3. I honestly don’t know how Jim can keep saying the same things after every poor performance as we are eye bleedingly bad to watch at times. Do we work on anything at Ralston beyond defensive shape and drills? Previous managers have been slaughtered for the type of football we are playing right now and it can only be a matter of time before Jim’s job comes under threat if this continues. He is a cup winning captain, a real advocate for the club and a thoroughly nice guy but ultimately it will all come down to performances and results and right now it feels like a game of blink between us and Accies as to who makes a change first
  4. It’s probably just the way it came out the tombola.
  5. I honestly don’t think Jim Goodwin knows how to set a team up to do anything other than shifest their way through a game.
  6. The QotS commentator mentioned a couple of times that is was “blowin a hoolie” during our game and various other random comments but FFS it’s not Sky, it is literally a couple of supporters shooting the shit while covering a game and that is what actually makes it better. Enjoy it bud because without guys like you who are prepared to step up it would be like a St Johnstone home game
  7. It’s strange reading through this and having 2 different games being discussed but it’s also funny to see most everyone else is in the same mood about their team. As for our game, Jim said in his post Utd interview that he had already discussed the Morton game with the players, so I expect us to be up for it. 2-0 Saints.
  8. Genuine question, how many teams in the league do you think are good to watch? Personally I think that most teams are brutal with maybe 4 or 5 exceptions. Most teams try and keep it tight and hope they can force an error from the opposition which hardly makes for open entertaining fitba.
  9. At least we are not describing it as a disaster and will definitely not use it as an excuse
  10. Not asking for any special status, just treat us the same way they would Rangers, Celtic and Aberdeen if they did what they are accusing us of. Now before any Hearts fan gets their knickers in a twist, had Obika not scored that goal they would have relegated us as soon as the final whistle was blown. The only reason it dragged on was they needed to f**k either Utd or Hearts. If it had been ICT, Dundee or any other clubs they wouldn’t have batted an eye lid about keeping Hearts up. The whole thing is a carve up
  11. Like Rangers, who played a game without test results being available, like Aberdeen, whose players had a night out or Celtic, whose player went on a trip and didn’t bother telling anyone. If we have broken the rules, then we deserve to be punished BUT if they “throw the book at us” they better have the balls to do the same to the bigger clubs. Kicking us in the stones simply because we are a small club isn’t acceptable.
  12. Just bloody daft for him to get involved. Trying to be Michael Stewart is fine when you are not employed by a club. Nobody expects ex-footballers to be sharp but this is bloody basic stuff. A wise man once said “people in glass houses shouldn’t shit in their own kettle”.................so Mo shut the fleck up and pay your taxes
  13. I'm not saying they haven't...there are central belt teams who haven't had a single case. True but Motherwell, Accies, Killie and Saints players all earn similar money, so chances are their wives will also have jobs, kids go to local schools and they will live in regular communities. If the area you live in is a hot spot then journeymen footballers are no different from the rest of the population.
  14. Needed some quality selective quoting for better effect. 4/10 but could have been so much better.
  15. But provides a welcome distraction from who is out with COVID on an idle Thursday
