  1. He's actually an excellent shot stopper, one of the best I've seen, but culpible when balls are whipped into the box, poor kick on him too. I would expect him to be back up for you also.
  2. So apparently Gallacher is being sent down but will sign for us and will be available when released. Thoughts ? Also hearing that Burchill has spoken too all the players he's looking to bring in and most have agreed to sign just need to wait on contracts being able to be offered.
  3. So after yesterday what's everyones thoughts on our chances of staying up ? Remaining games for each team Cowdenbeath Hearts (H) Alloa (A) Alloa QoS (H) Hibs (A) Cowdenbeath (H) Livi Rangers (H) Hibs (H) Raith Rovers (A) QoS (H) So here's my thinking, wishful thinking perhaps but by no means a long shot. Cowdenbeath lose both remaining games leaving them on 25 points Alloa lose to QoS who guarantee a playoff place and hibs but beat Cowdenbeath to sit on 26 points We manage to beat Raith rovers and a weakened QoS team who rest there players for the playoff game and also finish on 26 points but we finish 8th on goal difference. Wasn't far off in the end, absolutely delighted.
  4. Jason Talbot won't be here next season if he can find himself another club. I also believe no matter what division we are in next season, Gallacher, both Jacobs, O'brien will all be gone as we slash the playing budget yet again.
  5. f**k you Nixon you'll never kill our club I think things will move along very quickly now with Rankine selling his shares.
  6. I agree, Livi fans have learned to take things said by directors with a pinch of salt but I'm aware he is no longer running the club. There are apparantly 2 or 3 interested parties but the one I know about is supposedly being headed by a guy named Gordon Ford, he's an ex councillor and was one of the guys that brought the football club to Livingston (so I believe anyway) he is now chief executive of the Livingston Youth foundation and as I said his plan is for community ownership, artificial pitch and concentrate on youth development, ive no idea who else is involved with the consortium though, sounds like he genuinely has the best interests of the football club at heart but we've all heard that before too.
  7. Tbh I have no idea, i think it is all hinging on the Nixon case and whether the agreement by the directors not to take any money owed until the club was making a profit was a legal agreement or not, if it wasn't then that opens up a can of worms with other directors possibly claiming money owed to them which would plummet us into admin once again, but I believe that is very unlikely as the other directors out with Nixon have already agreed no matter what the outcome they wouldn't claim it back, I know that Rankine wants nothing, he wants out and doesn't want a penny of his money owed but can't get rid of the shares until the courts come back with a decision. What I have heard is the interested party wants to turn the club into a community ownership club, lay an artificial pitch, and concentrate on youth development, there is no mention of part time football but obviously ambitions will need to be changed by fans, with a likely hood we would find out natural level yoyoing up and down from league 1 to the championship. I think if you ask most Livi fans they would be happy with this as long as the club was run properly for a change.
  8. I have it on good authority that over 1.5m of that is owed to directors and all but one have said they won't ask for the money back as agreed, the exception being previous director Nixon. Obviously not great that we have to rely on so much from directors but once/if we are bought over by interested parties they will be able to start fresh basically dept free and get a model in place to live within our means. I've also been told that Rankine takes nothing to do with the club but can't relinquish his shares until the Nixon case has been decided, with a decision pretty close.
  9. Hi guys, id appreciate it if you won today, then guaranteed 4th by beating Alloa on Saturday before resting your players and lying down to us last game, in return I'll be forever greatful and you'd be my favs, we did help you out by beating Falkirk ????, deal ?
  10. Right, forget the off field problems for a second, after tonight we have gave ourselves an opportunity of staying up, Saturday away to Cowdenbeath is now our whole season, we need as many Livi fans going to this as possible to get behind the team, bring along friends, anyone you can get but we have to back the team with numbers and noise, it's been a difficult season but the players have gave everything to win us a trophy and now draw us into survival contention, let's pay them back on Saturday.
  11. Well infact if Rankine doesn't walk there will be no club, most of our players are out of contract in the summer and if he is still involved we won't be able to register players so in effect won't have enough players to field a team.
  12. Can't believe Boulding has scored today ????, in fairness if he keeps putting the ball in the net I'll soon change my tune.
  13. Good lad him then, definitely one to keep an eye on imo. Stand out the other night for sure amongst all the first team players.
  14. Forgot about Praprotnik, he started too and scored but didn't look interested either, so basically 6 first team players in the team and they blew a 3-0 lead, others where the number 11 I spoke about and an OG.
  15. I see the development side are playing the same tactics as the first team, stroll a game and lose. 3-0 up against Forfar tonight and lost 4-3. Ruthorford, donaldson, Beaumont, McKenna and Boulding all played full 90 minutes. I had my doubts about Boulding but after that performance from him tonight I can't believe we have gave him a deal, dreadful from start to finish and reminded me of the same Boulding we had before he went on that scoring run, lazy, lacks strength, shirks tackles every time. I understand he's not fully fit but it shows how bad we are, our number 11 that played beside him Kyle something (maybe someone can relighten me) was head and shoulders above him and must be wondering how he's not getting on the bench.
  16. Mirror image of Keaghan Jacobs, composed on the ball, runs at players and has the eye for a pass. Eased through today's game and looks a good signing. Agree about Cole, he's been our top performer the last 2 games for me, doesn't hide from a tackle and has added grit and determination to the side.
  17. No what I'm saying is I dont believe for a minute anyone would want to buy any part in this club at this time with another possible administration hanging over us, if the source is correct then fair enough but I believe he is still at the club but has taken a back seat in whats now happening within the club. One thing I'm pretty sure of is once this season is over and if we win the court case against Nixon, Rankine will be gone as will Mcdougall and we will have new owners, this is all dependent on the judges decision in the coming weeks.
  18. Why would anyone pay anything never mind 150k when the clubs going through the courts, if the case goes against us its administration, you'd have to off your head to pay anything and become involved in that.
  19. I completely agree with the points made, I'm scepticle to and haven't once said I believe Rankine, I have said that Nixon has been the main instigator through all of this though and I don't think many would disagree. Fwiw I can't see anything coming out about this and nothing happening as without evidence what's the point, plus if it is correct and he's cleared his desk and is only unofficially there what does Rankine care. I'm just hoping one of the 3 consortiums rumoured to be interested actually gets the chance to run the club and properly.
  20. This is information I'm receiving from a source close to the club, the info regarding the 3 interested parties was on Twitter from another source close to the club the rest from someone I know who also has links to the club, obviously I'm not going to say who but it's a genuine source, I'm not directly in the know. Got to bare in mind it's a consortium led by Ford but there are also two other interested parties of whom I don't know who. Agree completely about Mcdougall, I've been told he's pretty much bankrupt himself but refuses to request money back from the club as agreed by himself and the Livi 5 consortium, unlike Nixon who seems to have gone back on this deal.
