  1. Excellent post!

The administrators at Ibrox are desperate to get away home and never have to deal with Rangers or Scottish football ever again. They will say anything, do anything, as long as it allows them to make the sharpest of exits from Ibrox.

Miller has put in a promise of about £11M for something reputed to be worth £20M - £30M. He knows it's a bit of a minefield but, it might just be worth tiptoeing through it if the reward is worth it. His bid is not binding; so he can withdraw it or lower it at any time. If he withdraws he will lose his half-million quid "show and tell" deposit, but he knows that he is now the only show in town and that there's a betting chance of profitting on the deal.

Even if he walks away, he will have had a look at the clubs financial details and will be in a position to "advise" others in the future.

Far from being niaive, you have put your finger on the exact point of the matter: Miller must be asking himself, as you put it, "Even the diddies at the SFA and SPL are surely not that daft, they would agree to demands set by , what is basically, a complete stranger!". It is his first step into Scottish football's minefield of stupidity and hypocrisy.

I think his poker face will eventually collapse and he will run away, clutching as much of Rangers assets as he can grab hold of.

    ;)

Absolutely! Football and Scottish Football in particular is about the worst investment anyone can waste his money on! There is no return.......FACT!

So why is he interested in Rangers, not convinced he could point Glasgow out on map!

  2. Suspect D&P will say just about anything right now, look like they are trying to get the hell out of Dodge, as fast as they can!

Hold a press conference, where no questions are allowed!

Even the diddies at the SFA and SPL are surely not that daft, they would agree to demands set by , what is basically, a complete stranger!

RFC not out of the woods by a long shot, the possibility of points deductions are the least of their worries, I would have thought. If found guilty in SPL EBT investigation, then surely book will be thrown at them!

    Or am I being naive!

  3. The Swallow Hotel, fast food outlets near Ibrox, pubs and stuff... WTF do they have to do with what the SPL and SFA should solely be concerning themselves with? All they should be doing is acting fairly and without fear or favour in 'dealing with' Rangers FC.

My club moved stadiums. The Cosmo (an excellent fish and chip shop) on Love Street has lost matchday business. Similarly the famous Wee Barrel pub on Love Street will have lost business. So will the grocer shop on the corner right next to our old ground. When our directors were sitting around the table deciding to move St Mirren to a new home - does anyone think they said "This stadium move will save the club, but what about the effect on the Cosmo Chippy?" No. No. No... with all due respect to the Cosmo Chippy, an establishment I have personally frequented since Sir Alex Ferguson's days at Love Street in 1977.

If the SPL sit around the table tomorrow, and anyone says "Right, Rangers are guilty of X, Y, and Z... but hold on, what about sales of Zinger twisters in the KFC on Paisley Road West?" - then I will personally travel to Hampden and kick them in the stones.

Superb!! But the rules don't apply to Denial FC of course............cos Ally says so!

  4. Scenario - 1 or more of SFA panel is attacked or subjected to Intimidation/abuse in one form or another as direct result from Mr McCoists comments.

Where does this leave the Rangers manager? In a normal reality...................severely punished, maybe even subject of Police Investigation.

In Rangers World, which seems to be the reality we are living in right now............hee feckin haw!

    Different day, same p*sh!

While I'm at it, did someone drop an I.Q destroying bomb over Govan recently? Just wondering?

  5. Firstly , Traynor is an arrogant self important buffoon, talk about nailing your colours to the pole! Embarrassment and disgrace to journalism, is he a member of the NUJ? Shame on them if he is

If the SFA of SPL fold in anyway to the pressure by the criminal organisation known as Rangers Football Club, then we may may as well just turn off the lights on Scottish Football.

Pressure must be kept on the SFA and SPL by all member clubs to ensure they are treated the same as any other club would have been in a similar situation.

If Rangers go under , then so be it, football will move on , so must Rangers. But they MUST pay the penalties for what they have done.

    Or ................we be f**ked!

  6. Any club Chief Executive that doesn't have a plan B for Rangers not being in the SPL next season is not doing their job properly.

As a Hibs fan we have had approximately 19 different kick off times over the season. Oh for a 3pm on a Saturday.

I've no doubt that Celtic, your club will punt off a couple of the 20k a week brigade (Hooper to Southampton?) to balance the books but that's just basic financial management, something that obviously escaped Rangers over the last 20 years.

    [/quote

Absolutely spot on! Lets not forget it's RFC that are at fault, no one else! They have NOBODY to blame but themselves, therefore there should be no sympathy whatsoever for their plight, regardless of the long term effect on Scottish Football. Come what may, the other clubs will adapt and cut cloth to suit, you never know a better product may emerge.

Back to the good old days of 3pm kick offs, all clubs playing on Saturday, listening to the radio, pacing the kitchen and Sportscene at 10.30pm on a Saturday night. I could hack that!

Mr McCoist should be asking his mentor and others before him, what the hell they were playing at! Not looking for scapegoats, which is quite frankly, worse than pathetic!

Walter Smith must have had an inkling of the extent of the problems, yet still spent £4 mill on Jelavic.

Ally...............sorry mate, but you are after the wrong people!

  7. 1) No-one cares about emotive jingoistic claptrap. Move on

    2) Since when were Celtic fans suddenly interested in the welfare of the British Army anyway?

Here wait a minute... thats just the type of broad brushing crap, that p*sses me off. Just because I support Celtic, you have already branded me as a Republican, IRA sympathiser and Catholic.

As a former member of HM Armed Forces, I have no love of any Republican organisation, neither am I Catholic.

Just the type of hypocrisy, spouted by self righteous supporters of Non OF teams, that believe they have the moral high ground and can carte blanche brand every Celtic and Rangers supporter as bigots or worse!

Utter BS and hypocrisy of the highest order! How very f*ckin dare you!

  8. For the last couple of weeks we have been fed the line that Paul Murray and the Blue Knights were the only game in town. Now they have taken a big step back and all hopes are being pinned on a "lifelong Rangers fan" that no-one had heard of a few weeks ago.

If there was proof needed that rangers are well and truly fucked then this is it.

Getting a bit of Deja Vu here...................lifelong Rangers fan, with lots of money, buys the club on the cheap and..................................well you know the rest!

  9. Am I the only one who is thoroughly bored by this whole Rangers saga?

That's 2 months now and Dick and Dom have laid off no-one,and paid no-one outside the club. They have made claim after claim, all of which have turned out to be drivel( Whyte is irrelevant, out of administration in weeks, no possibility of liquidation etc, etc). They have also made deadlines, final deadlines, final final deadlines and nothing happens. Perhaps they intend staying in administration for ever. After all, why bother coming out of it if you can go on and on as if nothing is wrong and pay absolutely NOTHING, while keeping the same squad as you had before on a quarter of the salary!

They even tried to sign players while in this state and have turned down bids for Naismith, which could at least have paid some of the small creditors off. Start every year on minus ten and trouser the TV money.

I have stopped listening to Chic Young and the rest of them, as even their grief at the prospect of the end of their gravy train has stopped amusing me!

For Gods Sake someone put them out of their misery so we can get back to talking about FOOTBALL!

No you are not! The whole thing has become utterly tedious, a lot of wailing and tearing of clothes going on, to no end.

As you say, heaven knows what D&P are playing at..............talk about a long , slow, painful death ! Put it this way, if Rangers were a horse, they would be dog food by now!

  10. According to the paperwork Haudit & Daudit issued to creditors, which has been posted in this thread, the SPL/SFA can withold money due to Rangers and pay it directly to clubs owed money by Rangers. The rub is that it has to be money that is owed now, they can't do that for money 'due in the future' - Hearts are not due money by Rangers till June, they're fecked, Vlad will be raging.

Anyway you look at it, Rangers are shafting just about everyone. Do have a wry smile tho , when I think about Vlad ragin!

  11. Slight tangent here............. but with Mad Vlad Romanovs apparent hatred of everything that is the O.F, he could easily put massive pressure on Rangers buy demanding the balance payment for Lee Wallace.

Therefore denying RFC any potential payment from the SPL at end of the season. Why has he not done this? Find it curious, maybe biding his time..............saving his Joker maybe???

    Just wondering
