  1. Good to get these two off the wage bill without any pay offs!! Hopefully gives us a better chance of holding on to the January signings!
  2. Exactly and I think that is why both the Thistle and Falkirk chairmen have said they are ready to play behind closed doors. I know we are debt free but I have no idea where the money will come from to keep this up for any length of time, without any sort of gate income.

  4. Perhaps you can share with us where Thistle are going to be saved by this proposal. If it happens the only thing we will get out of it , like everyone else, is some desperately needed cash. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/5649919/hearts-budge-philanthropists-millions/
  5. Exactly. She all but admitted her reconstruction plans are dead in the water. People commenting while not even listening to the show. Doncaster has now contacted the show and says he will be urgently contacting her to discuss
  6. You obviously aren’t listening to the programme. She does not have the millions and it will not save any of the relegated clubs
  7. Maybe it’s just happened in the last week or so. It was stated that these are very rich supporters of Scottish Football who are worried about the future of the game in this country and want to help out. Aberdeen chairman was advised about it on Wednesday. Doncaster was asked to come on the programme to discuss but refused!!
  8. Who knows!! It’s on record now so she can’t deny she said it. Everyone in today’s panel can’t believe she has been asked to do a paper when the money is ready to be distributed now. It was made clear that this action would not save Hearts, Thistle or Stranraer from the drop.
  9. You need to listen to it. Everyone on their panel is astonished!
  10. Astonishing stuff on Sportsound just now. Interview with Budge where she says that she has philanthropists ready to pump multi millions into Scottish Football, especially the lower leagues, with no catches (won’t save Hearts, Thistle or Stranraer) She approached SPFL and was told to do a paper!! Doncaster getting flamed. Money is ready to go into clubs accounts now and they are being told to put in a paper. You couldn’t make it up.
  11. Perhaps not, if The Budgie doesn’t get what she is looking for!! https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/5645259/hearts-chief-budge-scottish-football-lockdown/
  12. If you read the whole article it says that the Championship might start in January and given that Thistle and Falkirk have both indicated that they could finance playing behind closed doors they might be shoehorned into the championship rather than risk two full time sides going bust by not having a league to play in as most in the bottom 2 leagues are looking to mothball At no point does the article, or indeed myself, mention Thistle being promoted into the top league.

  15. Never said that. They might ask to get hoisted up to the Championship as they are willing to play behind closed doors whereas the majority of the league they are in do not want to play due to costs!
  16. Have no idea but in a week when we seemingly have informed players of up to 50% wage cuts it does appear very strange, if true. There are obviously lots of things happening in the background. Papers suggesting today that Hearts will not survive if the Championship is played behind closed doors or indeed doesn’t start until January and that only a few of the part time lower league sides can afford to play behind closed doors games and want to mothball until 21/22 season. Only guessing but I wonder if that’s why we have come out and said we can afford to do that, then they might contemplate increasing the Championship to save the two full time Div 1 sides (Thistle and Falkirk) and mothball all the rest. Who knows but it’s the biggest crisis ever seen in Scottish Football and the last thing the game wants is teams going to the wall, especially full time teams
  17. I am pretty astonished at the latter part of this article to be honest!! I know we are debt free but we have 16 full timers under contract for next season!! https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/hearts-could-pushed-towards-financial-22072970
  18. Just about zero chance of anything changing though interesting to hear Chris McLaughlin saying on Sportsound that he spoke to two chairmen this week, one from top league and one in Championship and both mentioned that administration has been talked about in their boardrooms. No teams mentioned!
  19. Would keep all the new players signed in January, if possible, though they are all going to be on reasonable wages. The rest are dispensable. The whole squad might get gutted if the rumours of part time football are correct (article with Alan Cowan in Record today) Would imagine a lot of lower league full time clubs might end up in the same boat. At least one and maybe both assistant managers will be going, I would imagine with perhaps a cheaper replacement (Doolan?) brought in!!
  20. No surprise here, though backing anything from Sevco doesn’t sit easy with me, I will make an exception this time if it helps get rid of these wuckfits running/ruining our game! https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/partick-thistle-confirm-rangers-egm-22007796
  21. Could be a game changing statement just released by ICT. Might not change anything but it’s all beginning to unravel!! https://ictfc.com/club-update?fbclid=IwAR1QbAqER0V9bb8eA3IXWM3IG9hGCdVJfvtMu7EQhgWrARJCLtyh5EWXA3M

  23. Don’t think any team will be immune to the risk of going out of business barring Celtic but a lot of gloating going on here from grown up’s (well I assume that) at a time when the whole country and economy is in total turmoil and meltdown. Let the gloating commence when or if the season 20/21 commences and we are in the 3rd tier. There is a lot of water to go under the bridge before that happens!!
