  1. I was about 12 or 13 when I was told by my mother as we watched the Orange walk go by that what it stood for.

 I was in shock at what she said ! I really was ! especially as I was imitating the guy who threw the pole around up and down and around his back at the time .

Needless to say I never understood it until that moment and will always remember as I got a slap on the ear as a memory never to forget.

I still don't understand really why sectarianism is prevalent at a sport ? but I do know how all this shit became attached to the game and it is vile bigoted hatred to the core.

What's more shocking about it they are supposedly Christians FFS :o(Protestant catholic/Roman Catholic I use the catholic bit there as Protestants have seemed to forget that bit ?) a peaceful religion based around kindness, compassion and generally being a nice person to hang around with as long as they don't start with the Jesus loves you message and wouldn't it be nice if it was a draw so everybody gets a point.

Football is better off without it but I'm sure there would be some other ugly component that would arise to give fans something to hate each other about in a fanatical way just because we need that element of getting one over the opposition just to annoy them and get right up their noses.Outside the old firm you only need to look at some of the insults after the Scottish Cup Final we just had by the Hearts and Hibs fans .Just for the banter man.

It's not needed anywhere, I'm not religious in the slightest, personally I find the whole concept utter bollocks but I'll respect people who believe in what they choose to believe in but what fucks me off more than anything is when people try and twist it into something that it isn't. My mother's side of the family is protestant (well they say they are) and support Rangers, now my mum and others are fine, it's just football and they aren't particularly religious either but my cousins have this warped sense that because they're protestant and because they're Rangers fans that they need to hate Catholics and they need to get involved with all that Orange Order shite when the sad fact is that they have no fucking idea what any of it means, they just say it and follow along with it because it's what their old man does but have no actually concept of what they are singing about or what they are hating about.

It also fucks me off when you can't talk about football without someone dragging it up, I mean on a night out not long ago in Glasgow, me and my girlfriend were talking to these lads and started talking about football, they supported Rangers and we support Celtic and it was fine, we had a wee bit of banter and joked around but then one of them just starting calling her a ****** because she's Catholic and starting singing shite about 1690 when the fucker probably had no idea what the hell happened in 1690 other than it has something to do with being against Catholics.

It just fucks me off that Scottish football in Glasgow gets disease with this bollocks and it's fucking 2012, not the 1890s, people should have realise that this bollocks has no place in modern society.

  2. Celtic will win the league with about 30 points to spare IMO. Hope that's wrong, but I just can't see it being close, even if rangers do land up in the SPL.

I want that to be wrong, I mean a close tie between Celtic and Hearts or Dundee United until the last days of the season would be the most excitement this league has seen since, well ever. Hell it would probably be more exciting if it was between Hearts and Motherwell or someone like that.

  3. The club/fans would love Rangers in any event.. The suits took the money.. Oh it was 20 years out of 140 mind..Minus the 20 years.. How many titles did your club win?? answer honestly x

But Rangers used that money to give themselves an unfair advantage over the other clubs, all the way from Dundee United down to East Stirlingshire, they had an unfair advantage over every club in Scotland and that's not right.

  4. No waiting to read the next pages for this shite.

Rangers guy I worked said the same thing, I suspect the majority do, didn't give a shit about the national team, just Ranjurs.

Another example of the difference between diddies and OF and why supporting a diddy is superior.

I enjoy the international football, always have done even if it is frustrating that I don't remember the last time Scotland managed to get to a tournament as I was 5 at the time.

Anyhoo, if they decided to withdraw then it's not exactly the end of the world for the Scotland squad as McGregor can be replaced easily along with Wallace and Whittaker.

  5. I'm beginning to think Glasgow should just be reopened as a museum of how "folk used to live" and we could send all our school children there as a warning in life to watch (from a protective and soundproof glass), how these dinosaurs go about their daily lives. These people are centuries behind modern times. Still banging on about religion and history they don't even remotely understand for a start. They don't call Glasgow the goldfish bowl for nothing. Glasgow will hold Scotland back far more than it will ever forward Scotland. Time for a power shift. Time for change. There is no better time than now to make it happen.

That's harsh, not everyone is like that. I know you're gonna look at my team and see that it's Celtic but I support football, not bigotry. I don't care about religion or history that, quite frankly, I don't care about, it's nothing to do with me, I don't care if someone is a Protestant or Catholic, it's they're choice as long as they don't scream it in my face. I know Old Firm fans get tarred and feathered with the same brush but we're not all like that as there are fans, who support either teams, that are good folk and just enjoy football and enjoy supporting their team.

  6. Probably ! but it isn't :D so let us all enjoy the moment without pulling us tax payers into it while you try and take the moral high ground yourself.

Just think our taxes will be paying for and punishing them further when the batons are cracked of their thick skulls, the dogs are set loose on them.

Will be best value tax return I've ever had  .

Every time I see that photo I just wonder who the f**k thought it would be a good idea to go up against those dogs. Never mind the riot police, look at the dug, that is the sort of dug that would chew your bollocks off.

  7. Point 1. There was a full judge from the Court of Session on the SFA appeal panel, now if that original decision wasn't spot on, he'd have overturned it. No question about the impartiality or competence of Lord Carloway.

Point 2. If the SFA apply their rules correctly, CAS or FIFA cannot overturn them, the STV article reckoned they had, so is this just bluster from the Currants?

Point 3. there's much froth about the transfer ban restricting Rangers ability to trade, as the appeal panel highlighted, they currently have over 40 professional players signed, they can re-sign players that they have. There is nothing stopping Rangers having a 2012/13 squad in place.

I wasn't arguing those points, just getting from what I'd seen on Twitter that they were all ready and waiting to fight it out at FIFA :P

  8. All this talk of going to FIFA is retarded. Seriously, the SPL might want to keep Rangers alive but do you think FIFA would hesitate to look at the evidence and give a much harsh punishment than they already have. I mean look at Sion, FIFA threatened the Swiss FA with expulsion if they didn't punish Sion, I don't think they'd be all that fussed about doing the exact same for Rangers and this is much worse than breaking a transfer ban.

  9. A quick look at Wiki provides damning evidence on all three. Simply sickening that "clubs" such as these are allowed to peddle their twisted ideology simply to infuriate The People.

    Hibernian

Hibernian were founded in 1875 by Irish immigrants,

    Dundee United

Inspired by the example of Hibernian in Edinburgh the Irish Catholic community in Dundee formed a new football club in 1909, following the demise of Dundee Harp. Originally called Dundee Hibernian,

    Kilmarnock

The name comes from the Gaelic cill (church), and the name of Saint Marnoch or Mernoc who is also remembered in the name of Portmarnock in Ireland and Inchmarnock.

I see, well this scandal cannot go on any longer!

  10. Put the boot into teams like Dundee United, Kilmarnock and Hibernian for doing what exactly? United because they wanted money that was owed to them? Honestly it's just getting even more stupid now but just remember, it's everyone else's fault, Rangers have done nothing wrong.

Again, if this had been any other company or club then they'd have had their pants pulled right down by now and kicked up the arse.
