if a newco is elected to any league but the third the sfa, sfl and spl should all be closed and everyone joins the fa with a Scottish cup taking the one Europa spot. like the lichtenstien clubs in the swiss league.

2) what happens if, say, Romanov decides to kick Hearts into touch next season, liquidate and start as a newco? Do they get treated the same?
Hearts owe romanov's company/bank more than anyone else so he wont do this as he'd be wiping the debt owed to himself, which would be a bit of a mad thing to do.
Unless he sells his bank, then he could easily go down that route.

lol hearts are next on the list methinks.
dodgy owner - check
oodles of debt- check
bigoted pish from certain sections of the crowd- check
hell I could just trundle along the m8 and it would a home from home
Hearts owe their debt to their owner not HMRC

With all the talk about former managers and bungs...
I wonder if there were ebt's paid to anyone related to wigan in 2006.
Also a certain Norwegian former rangers player did have an ebt but was it paid in the early 2000s when he was a player or much later (say 2008 ish) when he had a position at another club in his homeland where he authorised a rather large transfer from Scotland?
I always found it funny that the player promptly came back to Scotland only one year later for a price that was reported to be the same as the first transfer.

Do the average SPL attendances without the OF mentioned a few pages back remove Rangers and Celtic's travelling support completely from the equation?? I hope so otherwise the figures are exaggerated...
From the looks of it they just took the avg attendances of all the leagues and then removed the top two teams from each league.

I found this regarding fans in other leagues and scotland without the top two.
Scotland population of 5.2 million top 12 teams (in attendance) without the old firm average = 6620Other countries top 12 teams - the top two averages:
Russia 141 million = 13792
Turkey 70 million = 12534
Ukraine 46 million = 7140
Poland 38 million = 8075
Romania 22 million = 5126
Netherlands 16.5 million = 18890
Greece 11.5 million = 5086
Portugal 10.5 million = 7050
Belgium 10.5 million = 10310
Czech Republic 10 million = 4335
Hungary 10 million = 2433
Belarus* 9.7 million = 2578
Sweden 9 million = 7717
Azerbaijan* 8.5 million = 2299
Austria 8.4 million = 5328
Switzerland 7.7 million = 6473
Bulgaria 7.6 million = 1850
Serbia 7.3 million = 1453
Denmark 5.5 million = 5189
Slovakia 5.4 million = 1875
Finland* 5.3 million = 2338
Norway 4.9 million = 7837
Croatia 4.6 million = 1683
Georgia** 4.4 million = 1110
Ireland 4.4 million = 1612
Bosnia 4 million = 1330
Moldova 3.8 million = 573
Albania* 3.6 million = 2349
Lithuania 3.4 million = 796
Armenia*** 3.2 million = 754
Latvia**** 2.3 million = 544
Macedonia** 2 million = 1334
Slovenia 2 million = 1089
Kosovo 1.7 million = 2093
N Ireland* 1.7 million = 923
Estonia** 1.3 million = 183
Cyprus 0.8 million = 2280
Montenegro* 0.6 million = 610
- includes the top 2 as that site only had data for 12 teams
** only has top 10 as that is all that is available.
*** only has a top 8 available
**** only has a top 9
compared to the rest of europe Scotland still does very well! our "diddy" teams get more fans on average than Romania, Greece, Czech Republic, Hungary, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Austria, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Serbia, Denmark & Slovakia. Who are all bigger than Scotland.

Unfortunately, as history has shown, if you enter earlier then you just get knocked out earlier.
Then it makes no difference to the co-efficient either way.

Dream on. Celtic need every penny they can get. They have a net loss of £28.537 million over the last 10 years and they are still not competitive in Europe. Furthermore, the impact of losing Rangers on Scotland's coefficient will make sure that they and any other Scottish teams will have to play CL qualifiers from which they have always had a hard time emerging. Celtic will not be giving any of it away.
If the other scottish clubs can't beat teams from Finland, Wales, Ireland etc to get into a bigger qualifying game they aren't going to beat a team who already have!
Plus if we enter earlier we get more matches to play! Which is more money and in turn will earn Scotland more points...

Stick them in the 3rd already and sort reconstruction so that it'll be 2 years instead of 3 for them to reach the SPL.(if they win each season)
fucking simple everyone wins!
