That otherwise v good summary by unofficial twitter doesn't even mention the worst transfers, being Crawford and the contract lengths of Considine, Carey and Murphy (although there seems to be some uncertainty about the last one)

The Crawford deal really got to me the worse out of the lot... I've not kept up on how he's doing on loan

I'm no fan of the way Police Scotland have abdicated responsibility for egress from the stadium and traffic management on the Crieff Road but the incident (accident seems the wrong word) was purely down to an arsehole behind the wheel, driving aggressively and at speed. His behaviour at the roundabout was deplorable but it's hard to find words to describe his intentions after that.

The sooner he is off the road, at the very least, the better.

Yep sounding his horn, revving his motor and being abusive towards supporters trying to cross. He then purposely drives towards them forcing ppl to scramble out of the way, the injured man stumbled during this where he then ended up under the car. Be interesting to see what charges are thrown at the driver ( obviously no idea how many witness statements were given) but certainly can't be deemed as an accident. Dangerous driving at the least surely

Saints fans. You got away with one today. And you know it.Retrospectivy .Soft pen so early in the game kinda knocked the stuffing out of our game. Please don't disagree. Yous know we dominated that game. But fair Play to Saints. They held on.For both sides.Yous can understand our frustrations with the ,as your fans have said an  absolute stonewall at the end.Think a point apiece would have been fair. But to loose.in that fashion was galling to say in the least.

Yip have to agree, I'd be a bit pissed if I was a livi fan at our penalty decision, but can see why it was given. Horrendous from Clancy (or his assistant's)to miss the handball though, no wonder Livi fans are raging. A few meaty challenges that in other days might have merited a red card but the ref was so unpredictable it was like a lottery. Not pretty by far but great to get the win, overall I wouldn't have grudged livi a draw but certainly wasn't their day today due to some shite refereeing

Any joy immediately taken away by that fucking idiotic driver outside the ground. Just hope and pray that the old guy he ran over is ok and the driver gets what his reckless driving deserves. My 8 year old son is pretty upset and in shock still about seeing it happen.

I didn't see any of it but reading some of the responses on the Banter page is horrific, the fact the b*****d driver had his missus and young bairn in the car makes it worse. Both sets of fans getting some praise for their actions and assistance etc, hopefully the guy who was injured makes a full recovery.

As for the game, kinda pish but 3 points, ref was fucking grim for both teams.

Also, there was no chance McGlynn never knew about the signing from the start. Whether we went to Clyde or they came to us, he'll have been in the loop all the way.

    Correct, from today's online courier....

McGlynn said: “We have to apologise for bringing our football club and our supporters into the situation we find ourselves in.

“We just completely underestimated the depth of the feeling that’s come from that signing.”

He pointed out that the decision was a collective one between the football management and the board.

“I’m not here to hang anyone out to dry,” McGlynn added.

Some scenes when we trudge to a 3-0 defeat on Wednesday, punt Davidson, then TW returns and leads us to safety with a front line of Hendry and Vertainen.

I'll take anything just now, but the big plus is he'd revert back to a basic 442 and have the players playing in their more natural positions. Whether they're good enough is another matter but nothing to lose at this point

I wonder if the Bryson signing is costing us much at all.

Saints need bodies, especially in midfield, and it looks like outgoings are going to be kept at an absolute minimum this season.  I think 10th place is probably job done for the board.

Bryson has possibly been told his opportunities will be limited at Aberdeen, and he needs to prove his fitness. He'll benefit from getting more first team opportunities.

In which case, it's no bad deal for Saints as there's not much to lose.

If, however, it is the case that we're covering a reasonable proportion of his wages

Wait am I missing summat here ?  Why would we only cover a proportion of his wages as he was released by Aberdeen and signed by us until end of season ?
