He's 20/1 so I'm not too worried at the moment. Whenever he leaves I can't begrudge him it as he's only linked with jobs like that because of the turnaround he's done with us.

Unfortunately a lot of your fellow supporters don't have the same sensibility in these situations.  I just hope that when Ange departs, he has a removals company on speed dial to scoop up his belongings, his family and get out of there before some of the Bhoys pay a visit to his property to give him his parting gift.

Who could this be, I wonder?

Born in Glasgow, he grew up in Govan and the Craigshill neighbourhood of Livingston, West Lothian and was a youth player with Rangers and Motherwell and was released from a contract with Rangers after fracturing his leg in an unauthorised local match with friends. He played at junior level for Linlithgow Rose and West Calder United and had business interests in the hospitality sector, but after a pub he owned went on fire without insurance cover he also became heavily involved in organised crime, specifically the large-scale supply of cocaine as well as money laundering. He was arrested in April 2004 following a police operation.

Imprisoned in November 2006, serving four years (and also having around £100,000-worth of assets seized as proceeds of crime).

A Fifer weighing in on a debate about culture.  Seen it all now.

That headline is a bit misleading, given his comments are

“To be honest, I wasn’t happy there and, for me, the environment became a bit toxic. If I knew I wasn’t going [there] to play then I probably would have stayed here. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out for me, but we move on.”

It sounds like he moved to a Scottish Premiership club expecting a bigger role, viewed as not up to scratch and then released at the next opportunity. 5 months of not being a squad member would have been tough, however it's a well worn theme across all leagues.

That's football.  His stats since returning to Aldershot suggest that we don't miss him.

    Was the ball kids apparently.

Yeah, he was a little extreme, but it's working. It wont be for everyone however, I can understand some comments made by Panayiotou when he left now 😂

Just became aware of Panayiotou's departing comments.  He must be the first person in many years to describe something as toxic at Livingston.  We don't know the full story, but a player who has only ever really played non league and seems to put more effort into this vlogging, probably isn't cut out for top flight football.  There was a whiff of the Moses Duckrells about him.

Just want to echo what some others have said about the idiot who chucked a smoke bomb onto the pitch. Completely uncalled for and hope it hasn't done any damage. I thought Stenny were very hospitable and fans who we interacted with made us feel welcome. It was my first time at Ochilview and I came away with a very positive impression of the club. I also thought, without meaning to sound patronising, that they put up a good fight against us. The goal in the first half was well taken and they defended their box well for the majority of the game. Nicky Jamieson looks like a good CB and Nat Wedderburn was effective in the middle of the park during the first half.

We did well to get ourselves out of a sticky situation. I had confidence that we would but it took an inspired performance from Steven Bradley to really make the difference. He continues to look like another great find. Stephen Kelly kept up his good form and was one of the few who looked able to cut through Stenny's defensive wall in the first half. No poor performances but I would say that Morgan Boyes needs to work on his aerial game. He missed a few headers that would have been exploited by a more offensive team. He's very good on the ground, however, and I've no doubt he'll continue to improve with more game time under his belt. Don't imagine he'll be dislodged by Ayo any time soon after his rank pass in the second half under no pressure. Nicky Devlin was clearly up for this game and took the opportunity to make a few gestures in the direction of the Stenny support after he scored. Did he leave the club on bad terms or just responding to wind ups from the fans? Not sure but unlike him to react like that. We were less threatening up front after Anderson came off. He'll be disappointed not to have scored himself but his outfield play was good and he is always a nuisance. Glad to see Pitts bag his first goal of the new year and hope this will give him confidence in the league. Holt was also solid in the midfield. We've missed his calmness and omnipresence on the pitch following the red card in the Hibs game.

Quietly confident that we can give Hearts a game next week. It will not be easy as they are in good form themselves but there is no reason for us to fear them with the team we have and with it being a home game. Looking forward to it.

There was a definite 'first away game without Dad' vibe from the young team on Saturday.

In all honesty, why wouldn't someone boo Martindale bringing Isma on? I didn't do it but I agree with it to be fair. Martindale isn't infallible in his decision making, he often knows better than most and it works out but there's times he gets it wrong.

Is it so wrong to boo an individual based on 10+ stinking performances without a single decent one? I'd argue it's probably a good standard to have, if it gets that bad then clearly you need to up your standards. No one is going to be interested in him at all based on any of these cameos, if anything it lessens the chance of someone wanting him.

He's playing him because he has no other option, Nouble is injured, Guthrie is injured and Bruce was fucked at the end of the game. I'd honestly rather see someone like Shinnie up front instead though. Even off the bench Cancar would've done better.

Because the club have worked hard to build a good atmosphere around the place. That's reflected on the pitch. Booing a player almost certainly has a negative impact on them and their performance.

    Can't believe that needs explained.

I think Goncalves was signed as an experienced pro to come on at the end and see us over the finish line with his knowledge of the game. Perhaps the signing hasn't worked, but that's no reason to boo our own player as they come on to the park.

Maybe a lot of our fans don't remember how negative the club was in the past because they're just too young. But the older heads that remember when the club wasn't in such a good place really need to have a word with themselves.

  7. The boo boys need to take a look at themselves. In previous seasons we would have went for a late win and fucked it. We were hopeless today and deserved a point maximum.

We also do not boo our own players. Leave that toxicity in the past where it belongs. Goncalves deserves the same support that the other players receive.
