  1. Not always, but sometimes. Please refer to season 2010/2011 when we came 2nd, and had the player and manager of the year. Morton came in a respectable 7th (our usual spot).

The other two years that we've been back up we finished 7th, while Morton finished 8th. We're neighbours!

Good luck with achieving 6th place. I prefer the thrills and spills of a relegation battle or a promotion push, comfortable mid-table finishes are no fun at all.

    Thank you Scary Bear.

That's true but I don't think you'd like that stress every season. And what if you do become relegated? That would ruin your day I'd think. Although there are some very nice trips to some coastal downs as a fillip for demotion.

We'll see what transpires but the middle of the table will suit me and, I hazard, Mr. Moore very nicely.

  2. Good post Foxbarton. I personally have said that sixth place is ours for the taking this season but clearly you've set the bar slightly higher! With it looking like The Rangers F.C. will be playing in the division this year then it looks as if we'll all be playing for second place and the playoff. I admire your optimism though and why shouldn't we be aiming for the Scottish Premier League? That said, Andy Jackson has left the club as far as I know mate.

Anyway, come what may, Go the Mo'!

  3. Green might be getting out-manoeuvred here. All the press and fans group are going to be Walter mad, if the season ticket money might not come in meaning that that the first effective boycott is of their own team. Green is getting a very raw deal here, he put up the money and got the only workable deal done.

That fulla seems to have thick skin to me, he'll not be bothered by the usual Rangers PR.

Fans of Rangers were never great at organising themselves, Bradford Bulls raised more money than they did. I doubt they could muster a coherent plan.

  4. I have started and deleted this post about 10 times. Most of you cannot even begin to imagine what the last few months have been like and regardless of whatever team you support or what you have written about myself or my team i genuinely hope not a single one of you ever has to endure it. If you do i hope that in your hour of need i act with humility and understanding after this experience. I only wish more of our supporters had learned something from this whole experience but i fear many will not forgive certain clubs and the supporters of those clubs who have taken so much pleasure in our demise. Maybe posting on here has helped me see both sides and have a better understanding of the situation.

I am struggling to keep my feet on the ground. For Rangers supporters this is everything we have been waiting for...OK we have been made to wait a little longer than we would have hoped for but now we have real Rangers men with experience of the footballing side heading up a consortium of other real Rangers men with the financial clout to get us through this time. People have been wondering why Jim McColl has not stepped forward before now but maybe today we have the answer.

Please Mr Green. I know i have abused you before but please now step aside..take your money and leave. There is absolutely no going back from this.

I might add that i haven't changed my opinion on SFL 3. It is the only fitting punishment and a hard hitting precedence has to be set but with these people behind us The Rangers will be in safe hands.

I am actually so happy i could greet but the kids are here and the slagging i would get is just not worth it.

If you have an ounce of humanity left in you i hope you all want this to go ahead..If this falls through it could tip me over the edge...Of Erskine Bridge!!!

Hahaha your hope was shortlived dobothy.

  5. The SPL clubs have run a cartel for years; one-up, one-down, picking and choosing who they allow promotion, dictating to teams that they upgrade or build new stadiums. If after all that self-preservation, they are still so reliant on Rangers then to hell with them. If they run into trouble on the back of Rangers demise then boot them out the league as well.

Rather than the game being on it's knees, we actually have a chance to pull it off the ground and do some good again.
