  1. I'm sure they will have an accountant who will sign off on their accounts .... it does not have include historic trading. All they will have to show is .. income streams (season ticket sales, jerseys, pie and bovril on match day, etc) , current working capital and projected revenue steams ...

The only question is whether or not the Orcs are prepared to dig deep to save their beloved club ... I believe they will appeal to the fans to purchase a major stake in their club and offer them representatives on the board.

It seems the only way out for them .. I cannot imagine their plan is to sit back and hope ...

Anyone else have a cunning plan .... Baldrick?

Ive read a few comments by rangers fans, that they would buy shares if the money went to the team, not to CG holding company.looks like they still havent realised that the company is the team, and not some seperate entity

  2. Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, or if it's even relevant anymore

Sky Sports Mobile@SkySportsMobile Sky Sports reaches agreement with Scottish Premier League & Scottish Football League guaranteeing coverage for another FIVE seasons

seems it only covers 5 live rangers matches a season , starting with the peterhead game, orcs aint happy...you know its tough being a D3 team , what with 12.45 ko in peterhead, and only limited tv coverage ...they have to realise that the big teams take preferance re ko times

  3. Captain Sensible has been saying so for as long as I can remember, and has taken pelters for it, but Green's statement about bigotry playing a part in Sevco's being denied a place in the SPL just goes to prove that the old firm were built upon an exploitation of bigotry amongst their fans. It's the tin rattling that is going on now, and the former Rangers fans will lap it all up.

CG said before the match yesterday, that he was going to London today to arrange some more investment in the club, i think also he said a month or so back that he would have 30m in place by the end of july, could it be he is getting an excuse in place, if it is not forthcoming, that his investors are shying away, because of the bigotry towards the club

  4. Today's deadline is 13.59 for the Ramsdens balls to be heated up... so that Gordon Smith can make the 2nd round draw. My only surprise is that Andy Cameron isn't assisting him.

I see that Gordon Smith is now going to be writing for the " Sunday Post "..touted as the Biggest Signing of the summer !..starting next sunday Gordon will be drawing on his knowledge - and tapping into his contacts inside the game - to bring a fantastic new column...jnins crivvens help my boab i canny wait ..no to buy the SP

  5. It was the full repertoire of their songs heard clear as day on the tv.

Be interesting if they ask Sally about it as it can be clearly heard.

A friend of mine was working at the game and said when the orcs started singing GSTQ the Brechin fans were booing and it got very heated in the areas where they were close to each other. As he was in the stand behind Sally he says that there is no way that Sally can say he never heard it.

on RM couple of post about rangers fan who climbed up at floodlight pylon, and started people singing the sash, having praise lavished on his head, though it seems he wasnt on his supporters bus back home, consensus is he is in a cell at brechin police station..

  6. there's bolivian crowd 'the strongest' often in the copa libertedores! Gotta say it's looking like Brechin may be the latest team out of pocket due to our Govan chums. I'm not convinced this license is forthcoming. Sevco could always punt season tickets at 300 quid a time for 'non-bibs' v the likes of lapland, melchester rovers and ME AND MY MUM! (with apologies to McGashan there!)

Welsh league side The New Saints , previously where called TNS after their sponsors Total Network Solutions

  7. OK, but it's making a special case for them, their fans get to watch away games without need to travel, but the fans of the teams with a bit of history behind them ;) don't get a chance to watch their away games on the telly, e.g. Peterhead, Elgin, Berwick (The Big) Rangers.

But it so all this wee clubs fans can get to go to the big city , and to watch their team play at the 2nd biggest ground in the leaque.

  8. How would revenue from such a deal be distributed? Any idea?

How can the SFL tout for a contract including Sevco 5088 away games, when said club has no licnce, or is this a hint that another wee deal between the SFA/SFL hopefully who ever arranges the contract with what ever TV coy, will make sure that they cover themselves ,should Sevco 5088 fold during the season, the TV coy would have to cover other matches, or pay a large penalty charge to allow them to walk away

  9. and why are they flourishing?

could it be they don't fork out stupid prices for overrated foreigners? and they utilise their own youth systems,

the leagues in scotland can be a success but only if we stop paying silly money and look for cheap, up and coming talent

Another reason , could be several years ago they looked at their product, and realised if they wanted to make progress in the european competition they would have to change to summer football, so when the early rounds take place they are mid season, unlike here were you some times think that the early rounds starting in july, are glorified pre season games. Also they are not the national sport of their country, unlike in scotland, so if they played on sunday they would lose out to the GAA, playing on saturday , they would at certain times of the season be im competition with the EPL, so the bulk of leaque game, are on a friday evening.

  10. So he abstained because he's honest, then lied about the reason to protect a scam?

    What a great guy.

isnt a scam , another name for fraud, if the SPL clubs all knew about the SFA/SPL plans in advance of the SPL vote, surely this would be a conspiracy which im sure some of the legal experts on this site, could tell me it it would be considered illegal, in as much as the were fixing not only the leaques (match fixing), or were trying to obtain ST monies under false pretences

  11. SPL say no :D

Now SFL Chairman must withstand a week of MSM insanity and wee sweetie bribes from SPL to make it SFL3 not SFL1 is the only place to go.

Dont know if this meeting will now invite Dundee/Dunfermline to take the vacant place, as that would then leave a vacancy in SFL1, thereby putting the pressure back on the SFL even more, what would happen if this invitation was declined, would the SPL keep going down the leaque till the got someone to jump at the change

  12. They had two games on over here live yesterday.

The evening game was Viking Stavanger v Rosenborg 1-4

The earlier game was Haugesund v Tromso 1-1 . That kicked off at the same time as all the other games. Tv2 covered the game while their version of soccer saturday covered the other games kicking off at the same time. For whatever reason Phil Thompson also works for norwegian tv (f**k knows why they would have him)

Despite Viking and Rosenborg being arguably the two biggest teams the stadium wasn't that busy, or at least didn't appear to be.

Checked the Viking website they give attendance as 10059 ground holds 16300,
