Am I right in thinking Killie have the fourth-longest continuous stretch in the top flight of the current 12, after Celtic, Aberdeen and Motherwell? I think their first season of this spell was 1993-94. Did Motherwell last come up in 1984, 85, something like that?

If it comes to an end, for a club with a similar fan base to the likes of Dunfermline, Partick Thistle and Falkirk they've had a good run.

You are correct naming the four teams above. Should be borne in mind that both Aberdeen and Motherwell finished in the relegation spot but were saved due to the First Division winners ground not been up to standard with regards to all-seating requirements. Think it was Falkirk.

All things come to an end but its been a more than decent run!

  2. "Rangers do not want to be punished for the actions of men who are no longer at their club. Does that also mean that every piece of silverware they have won and no longer have members of the winning team within their club should also be ignored?"

Hm I wonder if Hess, Himmler and Goering thought of this defence at Nuremberg ( Our team Captain and leader Mr Hitler is no longer with us ) !

  3. As previously commented Traynor spouting rubbish as usual and throwing his weight behind a Scottish Cup ban. The usual arrogance shown "this could cost Rangers £750K". There again if they are knocked out away from home in the first round to Hamilton, Berwick, Dundee Utd et all the loss to them would be negilgible. Of course that could never happen! Any punishment whatever must have certainty and not left to the vagaries of winning or losing a game.
