  1. Hibs should really have had 6 points from both games instead of 1 against United, but do not have a killer instinct and are shaky at the back. As united know to their cost, that can lead to relegation.
  2. This when a manager is meant to really kick in. All fine and well using missing players as excuses but needs to get more out of this squad. Injuries, yes, but looks like we can lose 3 games on the trot (and got lucky in the fourth) and none of them have we really looked like winning. Hopefully he can turn it around 2nd half.
  3. But if you believe Dundee fans, anybody from Angus will be supporting United that day. The way we are playing, I do not see us winning, unless Hibs Hib's it like the other week.
  4. Yeah I know it is gonna be expensive. Looks like cruises spend about 10 days I. The area so think with the travelling involved I might need 3 weeks at least. Two if my mountain club members are scientists that go to Antartica for work (one is there right now and the other us giving a talk on Antartica to the club on Monday) but I don't want to arrive there and find two guys from Dundee waving back at me. I will also have to see what my travel insurance looks like. I have a "multiple Europe only" one just now which I purchased for £115 for a year (and they are aware of my health conditions) as opposed to my normal multi worldwide one because when I had my stroke on Hogmanay my insurance wanted an extra £750 for the 6 months left! Never considered Greenland...hmmm
  5. Anybody ever been? Thinking of December 2025 as they say that is the best month to go as a tourist. Looks like the cheapest/best way to go is by cruise trip. Never done a cruise.
  6. I think there is a significant number of silent voters who will go for Harris and push her over the line.
  7. 1) At Dundee United games it is usually a pin badge. On bigger occasions maybe a tee or jacket with colours related to United. Never wore a scarf to United games since I was 14 and I am 59 now. Scotland games are similar although at the Euros I had two kilts, two sporrans, tops/tees and a tartan suit! 2) Definitely, although I like to think I have mellowed over time. Also been known to get into heated debates with fellow fans due to action on the pitch. Back in my younger days my mouth used to get me into trouble with fans outside the ground too. Once lost it at Ibrox when Vinnocombe did a two-footed challenge on Malpas at Ibrox, ran from my seat shoting and nearly ended up trackside...no idea what I would have done then. Made a smart-arsed comments at Rangers fans in the Gascoine days who had not been to the game. They had lost 1-0 and they had been coming down the road singing "We hate catholics". All hell broke out with a lot of pavement dancing. Not religious and just think it should be left out of football. Like most diddies I hate both sides of the OF. 3) I think I have started a couple but usually just join in. 4) During the match if something happens, yes. But it is usually left by the time I leave the ground. Might be brought back up in conversations with my Dee mates after a Derby for banter. 5) Mostly by car. Sometimes a supprters bus. When we played Alkmaar it was the ferry. On the way back we played bingo on the ferry. Very first number called was 7...cue all the United fans shouting BOOOOOOO in unison. The caller sh@t himself! 6) I have not drank in 26 years, which means I cannot blame all of the above behaviour on drink!
  8. I am torn. Do I want a Harris landslide to see his toys be thrown out the pram or to lose the electoral college by a few votes to see his head explode? Or maybe he wins the popular vote but is beaten in the college vote, leading him to shout "fix" and storm the capitol again.
  9. I think on occasion we have been OK, a bit of fighting spirit with late goals etc but at the same time we have been lucky at certain moments. I am still not convinced in our position but will take it for now.
  10. Distractions of Europe? Here was me thinking Celtic had the biggest budget in Scottish football, the best pool of players in Scottish football and love lording those facts over us diddies. What happend to the old mantra of onl taking it one game at a time? I must admit that despite thinking that Aberdeen had not played anybody of note yet (you can only beat what is put in front of you) they did surprise me yesterday. At 2-0 i gave them even less if a chance. Just goes to show what a decent manager and confidence does. Mind you, hope they fall flat on their faces when we visit next week
  11. Depends on what type of criminal you are looking for. Actually, scratch that, think Trump covers all bases on that score
  12. Wishful thinking on my behalf. It will be funny watching Trump implode when he loses...which I think he will, but a lot of Americans will vote for him no matter what.
  13. Went to Orkney with our mountain club back in August. We had a great time. Managed to get there the last day of the dig at the Ring among other places.
  14. With any luck that might put them off voting.
  15. I think next time they do the Huddle the opposition should wait then do the Hakka.
