I'm very unhappy at Robinson's performance so far but these players need to take some responsibility too.
Plenty of experienced and proven players at this level who have downed tools completely since the new manager arrived and that's unacceptable. I can't wait to see the back of guys like Jones, complete waste of a jersey.0 -
L-L-L-W-L-L-L
Robinson's record.
W was a last-gasp winner against the bottom side.
We're no better than relegation fodder at this stage. Embarrassing.1 -
Porteous is a p***k, his reaction was ridiculous and as soon as the card was produced he celebrated and walked off, not a f**k given for the condition of his team-mate.

Hearts have been fairly clinical but they haven't had to play brilliantly to score four goals.
An embarrassing defensive performance from us. Dunne deserves to be dropped and Robinson needs to get a grip of this before our season ends with a whimper.
Jones also needs dropped, he's done nothing in a St Mirren shirt and certainly shouldn't have stayed on the park ahead of Kiltie tonight. He offers nothing.1 -

Why not change it now? Get Power or Gogic off, Greive on and actually try to score a goal.

Thanks for setting us up to fail yet again Robinson. Game over, cup over, season over.

Dunne and Tanser standing picking their arses while Hearts score a goal. Shite. Would be nice if we could play some football beyond the halfway line.

Can anyone explain what's going through Robinson's mind returning to three at the back? An absolutely dreadful decision. Clearly has not done his homework on our season so far and/or has not listened to the advice of the existing staff.Awful. Just fucking awful. Get the back three so far into the fucking sea.
Tait is never a wing back (which is weird because he wasn't a wingback last season or the season before either). Kiltie needs to play number 10. He's been a revelation since we put him there.
It's just dogshit. I'm so pissed off.
Ironically the last game we won with that formation was away to County, but it was five fucking months ago.3 -
It makes us one-dimensional creatively, though. I get what you're saying and I don't mind having those midfield enforcers but they're very similar players from what we've seen so far.Take Gogic and Power out our midfield and we would get bullied and completely over run. We are not good enough to play the majority of the game on the front foot, so you need two holding midfielders to protect the back four.
Perhaps that's as much about the balance of the front four as it is those two, though. Jones looked great against Kelty but he's done nothing since because he's isolated.0 -
The Ronan sending off killed us and we haven't been in this game since. Can't really blame Robinson for that.
However I'm yet to be convinced about Power and Gogic as a central pairing. Neither has any sort of creative/attacking threat, and we have no one stepping forward from deep in the midfield to push the team as a whole forward. If the opposition can isolate Jones/Kiltie we have nothing. Was the same last week.1 -
Ooft, short memory. Here’s a few of them:
Jim Kellerman
Pal Fjelde
Craig Storie
Jordan Kirkpatrick
Gregor Buchanan
Darryl Duffy
Dale Hilson
Miles Hippolyte
Josh Todd
Massimo Donati
Mark Hill
Jamie McCart
Ian McShane
He only had three windows [emoji16] He had more failures than successes when it came to recruitment.
Lol. More failures than successes?
How do you explain:
Reilly
L Smith
Mullen
S McGinn
C Smith
Davis
Stelios
Flynn
P McGinn
Loy
O'Brien
Eckersley
Samson
R Stewart
McShane (regular in the best team in the league - not a failure)
Others have also covered the fact most of those on your list were signed to be squad players and were replaced as soon as better players became available.0 -
Im still torn about Jack Ross. A sensible me thinks it’s a no brainer to get him back.
However I can’t help but have a nagging doubt about it, it’s never the same 2nd time round is it?
The drawbacks for me is his recruitment, it was very hit and miss before and has been since he’s left us (maybe I’ve just been spoiled by JGs generally excellent recruitment (strikers aside)). I also heard he was extremely hard work behind the scenes (ie needy b*****d) always wanting told how well he’s doing etc. he seemed to know he was in demand and would hold that over the board by all accounts.
On the flip side he’s clearly an excellent coach, players like playing for him and would like to think he come out of Sunderland and Hibs experiences a better manager.
Whilst I’m part of SMISA and fully support fan ownership, at the same time I don’t actually trust our board (kibble reps included) to make the right appointment. Not sure why, nothing to base it on but just another nagging feeling I can’t help shift! I think Tony is the only one with any football nous and I’m not sure how involved he will be in these discussions with his impending retirement.
I disagree that Ross's recruitment was suspect. His signings in the January transfer window of the season we almost went down were tremendous and the reason we stayed up.
He then had another stormer that summer, building a league-winning side, and further strengthened us in the January of that year with Ryan Flynn and Danny Mullen.
Paul McGinn was also already signed by the time Ross left us after winning the title.
Every manager signs the occasional dud but I don't remember many from Ross.1 -
If I thought our club was media savvy enough, I'd see that as an obvious plant to gauge reaction from supporters. I've never seen our manager speaking in the media at length about a player that isn't ours before - to the extent where he even tells us how close he lives to the training ground.
Problem is, I'm not confident we're smart enough to play that game...0 -
Ack fucking behave yourself.
Result have been grim recently but don’t start howling at the moon about Obika and Morias. Two strikers that were absolutely diabolical. Each striker we have on the books now have far more ability than either of those two.
Aye so they do. Lee Erwin FFS [emoji23]0 -

A young, fit guy beside Power such as, I don't know, a Cammy Macpherson type?On that performance we definitely are the worst team Dundee have faced this season.
The weird thing is Dundee are the worst team I've seen (apart from us today).
We were absolutely honking today. Fifteen minutes in and it was clear that Tanser wasn't fit. Ronan wasn't at it with a lot of wayward passes, the defence looked shakier than ever (even Alwick had a couple of mistakes that he never normally makes) and Main didn't seem to do anything. Power and Flynn didn't work. Power needs a young fit guy beside him to do the running while he holds the centre.
The amount of times Dundee cut us open and didn't score would worry me if I was a Dundee fan. We should have lost that at least 3-0.
Two upsides are that we can't play any worse (I hope) than that and that McPake will hopefully still be in place for the rest of the season.
Even though Adam is a cheating (which means clever in Dundee - who knew?) moaning git I still love him for the goals he scored for us when we had him on loan from Rangers in the 2005/6 season when we won the championship. He was arguably our best player that season.

What utter shite [emoji1787]0 -
Watch us every week and we do the same thing every week. That's not really what happened though. You played very well for 20-25 mins (though didn't create much) and pressed us very high and were looking for another chance rather than sitting back.
The penalty was daft to give away as Hagi was running across the box - and that turned the half rather than St M sitting back.0 -
Usual pish from Goodwin, score a goal then park ourselves on our own 18-yard line even though we can't defend. The penalty was our own fault too. We're completely to blame for our own downfall.

I'm really enjoying the presence of Brophy in our team right now, he seems a constant pest for defenders and he always looks likely to make something happen.
None of the three goals he's scored this season have been easy chances, today's was a superb finish, and they're the sort of chances we haven't had anyone to put away in recent seasons.
He's hardly prolific, but he's growing into his role and our current set-up seems much better suited to him.3 -
Very good first half, shambles in the second half. All over the fucking shop here.

The most frustrating thing for me with regards to Cammy Macpherson is that he can change a game from the bench - we don't have many of those types of players.
It was only at the start of last season he was being lauded as a hidden gem (the likes of A View from the Terrace and Sportscene were raving about him). His ability hasn't disappeared overnight - but he's not had a consistent run of games.
He also pops up with the occasional screamer and you just don't know when that might be needed. If he does that a few times in a season he's well worth having, not to mention the cover he provides when others around him are getting sent off or injured.
I don't think anyone is suggesting he is a world-beater and I'd be more than happy to loan him out if I felt central midfield was a particularly strong area of the park for us, but it's not.3 -
Hopefully one of those is a manager who actually wants to attack, entertain the fans and score goals.Jim saying we are looking to bring in 1 or 2 before the window closes, based on our league start 2 is the absolute minimum we need.
For three seasons now we've failed to address our lack of attacking threat. That all boils down to recruitment and the manager.
So much for his early comments about wanting to play with a certain style and flair. Absolute nonsense.0

Just seeing the highlights. Brophy looks like the only player getting pass marks.
Piss poor from Erhahon for their third goal, makes absolutely no effort to track back, leaving a huge gap in front of our defence - though he's not the only one posted missing.
