  1. Few quid for a roaming pass will save you remortgaging to pay your phone bill
  2. Nah, the Killie is still there. Bit worse for wear though. Gratefully received.
  3. That and the markedly improved atmosphere IMO.
  4. Any time I've seen McLennan he's looked good right up to the point he fires a shot or cross out the ground. Surely Murphy is the better option for Ayr?
  5. IIRC there was a few weeks break between the final game against Morton, a 3-0 win, and the final. Possibly too long a break. I've never watched it back, even highlights, but I recall it being a pretty even game. Maybe Killie looked most threatening but not backs to the wall stuff(?). The Saturday after the semi replay we played St Johnstone at Brockville. They were by far the best team in the league that season and if they hadn't by that point they were about to win the league. St j won 4-1 and I don't think any of the fans or players cared one jot about the score. Think the players were still hungover.
  6. Always* good tough games against Montrose. If Barney isn't going to get game time I'd be very happy to see him banging in the goals in league 1 for them. He probably lives in Edinburgh so travelling up may be an issue if there are closer alternatives. Montrose TV YouTube views would go through the roof!
  7. On the actual theme of the thread, 1996-97 was the first season I was allowed to go to the football and Chris Waddle was the excuse I used. Went to pretty much every home game from Clydebank on and all the cup games except the Berwick relay. As much as being a falkirk supporter can be a pain at times, I was soo lucky to start going when I did.
  8. I hadn't been to a game in a long while before going to that Forfar match (midweek, 2-2?). I was horrified by the state of the team. I asked an old lad next to me if this was the standard of the team in recent years. Think he was in as much shock as me. Came on here and it was all 'league Cup this' and 'time to gel' that. Nah, the were horrific.
  9. I think in 5 years time a 'where are they now' retrospective of the careers of TOE, the lad from Man Utd and the other 42 signings that summer would be a watch.
  10. I agree. For whether the club captain is an automatic pick, see Mcginn last season. Partly through being broken, but his role was reduced to cameos. It's how McGlynn has kept the likes of Ross happy. If they're preforming they keep the jersey and Graham and Hendo are certainly doing that.
  11. I was definitely at the game too. The only thing I remember about it though was that I got on the TV highlights when I reached over the advertising to pass the ball up to a St Johnstone player. I then look really pleased with myself as I flicked my head, but really I'm just flicking my curtains off my face. Looks cringe though.
  12. Yeah, but I was referring to the OP's mention of thrashing Dundee United in Hartley times. Thanks though. I kept thinking Colin McKee. He was all sorts of useless.
  13. Who was the midfielder who scored a top bin free kick against Dundee United that season? Went on to play for Dumbarton. He could hit set pieces and do nothing else. That goal qualifies as one of the best falkirk direct free kick goals ever.
  14. Think the replay was 10 ish days later. That was a weird goal. I was directly behind the goals and we were at the other end of ibrox to the goal. I had no idea it was a goal or what was happening until I saw the players running away celebrating. Think it was with me being directly in line with the flight of the ball. Made for a weird celebration. Kevin James's goal happened right in front of us. You could feel something coming as you saw the cross come in.
