Listened to Friday’s podcast earlier - Maurice Ross sure is a bundle of laughs.
Proper faux intellectual trying to cram as many big word in without really knowing what they mean. He was insufferable

Becoming a bit of a witch hunt in the media. Maybe a bit shitty of him hit he had no obligation to finish the season out with them. Covid screwed everything up and I’m sure heads were all over the place

Absolutely not. McBurnie is doing well in the top end of the English Premier League and Dykes has just secured a 2mil move down to England. TBF I don't know what Oli Burke has done to deserve a call up: the boy is absolute mince. I also have no idea why Lawrence Shankland was picked, who hasn't kicked a ball at all this season. I guess it shows though how little options we have, but I believe we've called up worse. I can't think of any other candidates tbh. Kevin Nisbet maybe but he is injured. Ross Stewart has started well at Ross County this season, so could argue the case for him.
I can remember a time we were playing guys like Nigel Quashie, Scott Dobie and Kevin Kyle up front. That was brutal.
Quashie was midfield

Based on Clarke's press conference, I'm not sure Ryan Fraser is in his good books.
Definitely got that vibe from him too

I wouldn’t be against a call up, not saying I want him ahead of our regular starters

I wouldn’t be against Chris Burke getting a call up. I’ve always found him to be a very underrated player an he’s started the season very well. Don’t care about his age, it’s all about whether he could do a job

A couple of seasons later, we had a similar situation where we had Nicky Weaver on a short term deal, and he was also superb. He left after he got pelted with snowballs by Aberdeen fans.*
*He was already leaving, but this happened in his last game
Nicky Weaver was genuinely one of my favourite Utd keepers despite his short time here. He was incredible

Has anyone been given their login details yet for the new United TV website?

Jeez I’m way behind but just noticed Cyprus beat and drew with Kazakhstan. No mugs and where we are right now we have to stop being so arrogant and saying “it’s only such and such” because to other teams we are only Scotland

And a Thatcher lover...which is as relevant to the point as yours

Willie Miller managing to criticise the defence while picking out Palmer and Taylor and pretty much ignoring his hero McKenna....don’t think Palmer did much wrong

The same Souness who was averse to tracking back the opposition's runners ?
I think you’ve missed my sarcasm somehow

The state of this thread btw. Not what I expected after that decent result.
That's just negativity for the sake of it, and pretty disrespectful to them. Cyprus are not utter diddies. In the late 80s we had to score two very late goals to beat them to qualify for the world cup.
Yes we should be beating them but that's what we did. We're not fucking Brazil, gung ho even when we have a slim lead late on.
It was a good result with an average performance. Was gonna say we have a history of struggling against them with Souness etc in the team. Don’t say that though because before 2000 every player was amazing and constantly smashed every team going and totally never embarrassed us at all no sir.

The metric system is blue, right? If so, that’s what we all voted for.
Came for a nice blether after a win hoping we’d have a bit of a positive vibe but nope just arguments and (admittedly amusing) chats about methods of heat calculation.

Daft lad. Already getting it right from Scotland fans, this won’t help him

Always pretty sad when someone retires and folk make up stories and speculation rather than just appreciating the good stuff he did. He played really well for us for a while, scored some goals etc but injuries have held him back. After Thursday he maybe just feels he can’t hack both club and country at this level. Cheers Snoddy, all the best.

Given the competition Phillips is probably one of our more in-form attackers with 4 goals in 9 games. He’ll definitely be in the squad.
Fletcher has started the season well although apparently he can’t be arsed with Scotland.
He should never have been invited back after his huff
