Swing and a miss as VT would say. It's not difficult to cut through your piss poor attempts at justifying the Colt teams being included in the league and get to the real reason why you clearly want them in the same league as you.
I like change

I'd far rather 4 games against Brechin or Stirling Albion than a single game against Rangers reserves.
agree with that 4 games always better than 1

No surprise that some chump from Elgin is salivating at the thought of finally getting to see their big team in action even if it would be a load of U21s.
u seem very angry that someone disagrees with your opinion try and relax a little more

Suspect someone would be wearing a half and half scarf at Borough Briggs, should this monstrosity ever happen.

If this goes through then after 50 years of supporting my club I would walk away from football. Equally the proposal of clubs being attached to a senior team and getting 5 or 6 of their players is a non starter for me. I want my club to develop their own players and not be a nursery for the bigger teams. If this happens all sporting integrity is lost.
I know we have used a lot of loan players recently but you wonder where their heart is when it comes to an all out battles to avoid relegation etc. Signed players knowing that relegation etc will cost them but loaners knowing that they will be going back to their own team.
are most players not on one year deals these days

I honestly don't think anyone who suggests this understands football. They might watch football and support a team, but they don't actually understand the fabric of the game and what makes it tick.
Competitive football is about two teams turning up to beat each other. Those clubs each represent a city, town, district, country or cause. People are emotionally involved in that. Those eleven players are representing one of those things. For ninety minutes, you invest everything in it and switch off from reality. It matters. There can be a car load of away fans, but what is representing them on the park matters as much to them as Real Madrid does go their fans.
When you introduce reserve teams, you bring in a situation where one team cares. Sure, you'll have fans of the big club club liking to see the youngsters do well, but does it hurt them when they lose? Do they feel elated when they win? No.
If you bring forward a situation where a team can win a league and nobody is emotionally invested, nobody is having the party of their lives and, frankly, nobody cares, what's the point?
yeh its great playing the same team 19 times per season

it's a terrible idea with all that extra interest it would create, money they are offering and ofcourse we all love playing the same side 4/5 or even 6 times per season. In all honesty it's got to be worth considering despite the usual old firm envy / small team chip on shoulder mentality.

can see positives in this. Anything that freshen it up and stops the 4 or more games v the same side is got to be worth considering. these games would also likely attract bigger than average crowds and with guaranteed additional monies on top of this maybe worth a punt

full time pffft

I would expect Harper to be first choice left back at ict this season
I thought he was excellent

3 x 14 is an improvement to the current model. Expand the play offs and let's go.

Elgin confirmed as finishing 3rd in league 2 after today's final SPFL vote.
Decent achievement I suppose but doesn't have any real sense of achievement given the fact play offs are scrapped for the season. If there is league construction as rumoured looks like Edinburgh will also go up and Kelty and Brora will join the league.
Thoughts on that?eh shit

No football until June 10 means that this season will never be finished. You still need another 11 match-days in the lower leagues after that, plus an actual summer break for the players, then pre-season. Oh and with most of the player contracts running out halfway during the remainder of this rump campaign: so much for the 'sporting integrity' argument then.
I'm really not sure what there is to talk about until then but I'm sure the chief executives of most clubs will be delighted to have all their planning for next season put on hold for another two months so that clubs continuing humming and hawing over a set of mutually exclusive proposals instead.
the players are on break now no need for another

finish the season whenever that is and start next season after a couple of week break
scrap the challenge cup next season

I am not happy with this finish this season whenever it is and shorten next scrapping challenge and league cups

Not complaining about the decision as I don't think any of them were ideal but a shame this team never got the chance to finish the season as I think, playing as we were, we would've had a good chance in the play offs had we got there. There are bigger things in life though and a first trip to Stranraer is now on the cards for whenever the new season starts.
