I feel he needs a McAllister type to boss defenders, win aerial duels allowing him to get knock ons and knock downs. Mitch looked imperious in that kind of partnership. Hard to find though.
Best thing he could do is pair up with McAllister.

Bit off topic but maybe someone can advise.
Formartine are playing Peterhead in a pre seson game on Saturday ay Comack Park but apparently it's closed doors.
Was thinking about dropping the wife at Costco and going to watch it.
But how closed doors is Cormack Park. Is there a view point I could just go to? Is there anywhere to park?
It's either that or spend all afternoon in Costco as the wife drains my credit card.
Any help appreciated.

If you go through Topcashback for example you can get most of the VPN costs back.
Just had a look and they currently have IP Vanish at 85% cash back, Nord at 90% and PIA at 99.75%.

Is Peterhead new signing Peter Pawlett available for this one ?
The club said he'll be in the squad for Tuesday when they announced the signing.
Hasn't played for a while though so who knows what his fitness will be like.

Hopefully, being part time will help on the injury front rather than going full time with Cove.

Noticed Aaron Reid was recalled by the Dons. Clearly he'll be loaned out or even released as he'll never get close to their first team squad.
Watched him a few times at Peterhead and in my opinion isn't close to L1 standard unfortunately. I'd be very unwhelmed if we are even expressing an interest. Was with our under 20's a few years back so he's known by the club.
Could he return to Elgin or go back to a stint in the Highland League, maybe at Banks o Dee if Golding moves on?
Aaron Reid really not good enough for Peterhead's squad never mind any higher level. Not playing for us because of Rory isn't true, he's simply not good enough despite having played a few times for Aberdeen U20's.
Not sure why he was given a new full time contract with Aberdeen and would be surprised if he goes anywhere higher than HFL.

Update on David Wilson - we are delighted to hear nothing broken just some ligament and muscle damage. We all wish Div a speedy recovery!
Club statement on David Wilson. So, not as bad as first thought but still likely to be out for a while.
As for the game, we have gone backwards in the last few games. Maybe teams have sussed us out now and know how to handle us.
If current form continues, we'll be lucky to get a play off position.

So, basically the hospitality money wasn't the cause of the late call off? As suggested before by someone...
Still stand by what I said. Thier first priority will be getting the game on but not necessarily for the right reasons.
They would be thinking about a full hospitality, full bar, full coffee shop plus match / ball sponsors and all their guests.
They'll be thinking that a midweek rescheduling will be taking in a fraction of that (although they'll still have hospitality, sponsors etc, the numbers will be reduced).
Way down the list will be those travelling to the game, the car park like a skating rink and the general safety of the fans and even the players.
Not the first time they have dragged things out like this when it's obvious that a game should not be played.

What time does hospitality start at?
Usually from around 12 noon with meals from 1pm. Obviously all the prep work, cooking etc would start much earlier.

I'm really hoping no Sons fans are en route as this news breaks, but especially the supporters bus as there may possibly be financial implications.
Could this decision not have been taken about three hours ago ?

All about the money. Looking after the hospitality crowd who can go inside any time they like.
No consideration for other home fans, away fans, both sets of players, car parking etc.
Apologies to anyone associated with Dumbarton who already set off.
It was blatantly obvious from first thing in the morning that there was no chance of this going ahead and should have been inspected much earlier.
Hope that Dumbarton put in an official complaint about it.

Conner Duthie stretchered off after 58 mins, looked bad.
In case any Clyde fans are interested, statement from Peterhead FC.
Conner Duthie Update:After undergoing scans this week, we can now confirm that Conner has unfortunately suffered a significant ACL injury which will in all likelihood keep him sidelined for the remainder of the season. Conner has fitted in brilliantly both on and off the pitch since his arrival at Balmoor and we are all devastated for him that this has happened, especially given what he went through last season and his difficult journey to get back playing football. We want Conner to know that everyone at PFC is right behind him and that we are here to give our support and ensure that he makes a full recovery to get back on the pitch again doing what he loves0 -

Can't find any sort of a release list for Celtic but going off transfermarket it could be Caleb Goldie.

Last year was a disaster for us (as was the whole season). Didn't have enough signed players and were scrambling around trying to get a team together.
Ended up losing all 4 games with a scoring record of 0-13.
Hopefully this time we can score a goal at least.

Peterhead should/will benefit. Even a 31 year Mitch/Blair/Scully would be good additions for them for a season or two you'd think. Strachan/Brown definitely had them more competitive than Robertson. A young manager with fresh ideas and positivity can clearly work as you know very well.
Big changes for us. I hope it's all going to be positive and the risks are therefore worthwhile. Definitely intriguing as a Cove fan.
The three of them should definitely consider coming to Peterhead now. They know the Strachan/Brown combo and McKenzie & Ross have already made the move.
There are two or three years deals being dished out so a chance to finish their careers. If Cove start splashing out on full time players they could find game time limited so be as well to jump now.
We have been desperately short of strikers and we missed out on Hester so a Megginson/Shanks striking duo would be a huge bonus for us.

Pointless (literally) game for us.
Thank **** most of our squad will be gone after this, never to be seen again.
Doubt if there's anyone even worth taking a final look at.
Massive rebuild needed.

How has Kieran Shanks been doing for you lads.
Looks a decent player. Obviously playing for a very poor team but very mobile and would be better if he had decent players around him especially a good strike partner.
Maybe needs to build his strength up a bit against physical defenders.
Will always be remembered for missing a penalty against Clyde although he had the confidence to grab the ball and take it.
Another year or two contracted to Arbroath? Otherwise we'd take him in a minute.

Hoping Brechin come up (although Buckie would have been better) and Elgin avoid the playoffs.
Purely selfish reasons of having reasonably close clubs to visit next season.
Brechin seem to the in form team so should have a good chance.

Blew it with the penalty miss as well as missing a couple of sitters.
Sooner this season is over the better and probably just as well that we'll be spared the agony of getting thrashed in the playoffs.
Clyde will have to step it up to get through the playoffs and stay up.

More snow overnight.
Surely just a formality of game off.

Normally I'm optimistic that Balmoor can beat more weather situations.
Not so much this time. Think an 8am inspection says it all.

McKenzie starts for Peterhead. Ritchie recalled by Aberdeen.
