  1. Not sure whether to post this in here or the Guitarist thread. Apparently conspiracy theorists are posting a circuit diagram for the 5G chip that's going to be in the covid vaccine (obviously) but its actually for the Boss Metal Zone distortion pedal...

I'm a total mosher and even I think that's the worst effects pedal ever so I can see why people think it's being used for something else...
  2. Wasn't sure where to post this so I thought I'd give this a shot here.

I passed my driving test around 6 years ago and have only driven a handful of times since. Due to lockdown restrictions I decided to get some refresher lessons and pick this back up again and buy a car but with Glasgow in Tier 4 these got cancelled before I even started one.

My flatmate and I have hired a car for a week in the meantime. He's taken me out this evening for a couple of hours and I just drove round the local area getting familiar again with the biting point, clutch control etc and feel OK with this now. I guess onto other stuff tomorrow evening.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice on what I should re-learn and or focus on and how many hours this should take. I guess also if anyone has been in this situation before?

  3. How do folk feel about taking a vaccine that has been fast tracked like this? I’m not an anti-vaxxer. I am however concerned that a vaccine will be ready when it normally takes, what, at least 3 years to develop supposedly? How can we be sure there are no ill side effects after trials lasting such a small period of time?
This was my opinion as well but due to my age, health etc. I suspect I'll be at the back of the queue. Interested to hear other people's thoughts.

  4. It’s not limited to those groups. Non-cohabiting couples are allowed to form an extended household even if they live with others (e.g. their parents, flatmates etc)
This was my understanding too. Surely they can't expect couples to start not seeing each other for weeks on end now?
  5. A lot of hysteria about this in various whatsapp groups I'm in.
Seems that other than the pub the impact on day to day life isn't massive here.
I feel for business owners who just got back open but the average punter who needs to watch St Johnstone away from home on Saturday now instead of the pub can f**k off.
You boys stay put and just give us a 3-0 win already please.
  6. Sorry if this is a stupid question but now with the 5 mile restrictions lifted and the ability to travel to a second home if facilities are not shared as of tomorrow would this mean I can travel to my parents house from my flat and stay over? The house and it's rooms are of a big enough size to socially distance and they only ever use their own on suite and never the main bathroom.

I don't want to go full on Dominic Cummings here and take my own interpretation of the rules but I'm a bit confused by this. I don't know if I'm maybe trying to bend the "second home" part to my own situation though. I've checked the route map and still no clearer.
