Few of us heading up on Saturday, looking forward to ticking off a new ground (all recommendations as to how we should structure our pre-match pints will be gratefully received). We’ll just make sure there’s a spare seat on the way home for the league trophy.....

Hoping for a repeat of the score last time we played Cove up there

Is there a supporters' bus going up and would there be any seats available on it at all?

It's usually sunshine that makes me happy but this news makes me forget the crap weather. He is defo a one off. Could earn more elsewhere but he's got a love for the club that knows no bounds. The people of Dumfries should all turn out for the Falkirk game and pay homage to a true legend.

I wish they bloody well would - attendances have been falling and we've got the best striker this club/league have seen in years.  So frustrating.

  3. Fantastic result for City, on the back of what is turning out to be a good season.  You would think that the council should now be looking at an alternative solution to City having to groundshare with The Spartans.  Although, living in Northampton, I know how much council folk are removed from the real world.

    Keep it up City!

Why did you announce there was to be a 3rd strip this season if you’re not going to sell them ?
I thought the club would want to make as much money as possible this Centenary season.

I was looking forward to buying the light blue shirt so was disappointed that it's not being sold as one.  I would buy the thing without sponsorship, but none of the warm up tops appear on the shop page of the website.

Definitely don’t need old Firm Colts in L2.
After watching the game last night between Annan Athletic and Celtic Colts. Annan won 4-0. Celtic Colts never came close to scoring.
This was the second year in a row Annan have beat Celtic Colts.

And it was also a heavy defeat if I remember correctly?

I'll nominate 3-0 down against St Johnstone at home in about 1981/2ish with half an hour left.  We drew 3-3 and clipped the bar at the end to be denied an unlikely victory.

I'll even it up by nominating that game we lost against a John Colquhoun inspired Stirling Albion a year or two later.  I think the final score was 5-3 to them and we'd earlier led by at least 2, maybe 3.

That game against Stirling Albion we were 3-1 up with 20 minutes to go and lost 5-3.  John Colquhoun loved playing us that season - he scored a shedload in our games and I think Celtic or Hearts became interested in him at the end of that season.

  7. Is it worth considering reduced prices for the centenary game against Falkirk to create a good atmosphere?  Could do with some inventive ideas and Dennistoun Bairn's ideas sound pretty good to me!  Although I believe we still carry wooden rattles around from time to time!  And 100 year old prices for food and drink at the Globe!

  8. Weather wise I hear that you've got it bad up there.  I'm travelling up from Northampton on Friday.  I know snow can be cleared off the pitch and I'm actually willing to help out with that if it comes to it, but sometimes games get postponed because of poor weather in the surrounding areas.  No-one's mentioned anything so are we all hopeful the game will be ok for Saturday?
