  1. I don't understand why you would take a 19 year old on a 4 year deal, say that he's "one for the future" and only give him 12 months to learn and adapt, especially when a large chunk of that time would have been him getting used to a new country and culture, learning the language and things, was always going to be a lengthy project. Also read the other day that he's just moved his family out there to be with him. Seems daft, wouldn't be surprised if RBL included a buy-back clause if they do sell.

Any chance Hearts can throw a spanner in the works with talking to Houston before the weekend!!!

I doubt he would bite just now. Hearts look in a right mess, he's got a decent team and fancies his chances of challenging. Finishing 6th with Hearts wouldn't do much for his reputation, getting Falkirk promoted would. His relationship with Levein might tempt him, but I doubt it.

Add in Jim Dick, Ken Eadie and (puts tin hat on) Jim Goodwin!

Out of interest are there any ton players that St.mirren fans have had a real dislike for recently? Don't think we've had a c**t in the Goodwin mould.

As said, O'Ware probably comes the closest. Mainly because, again as said before, he's got a knack of scoring (or nearly scoring) against us. I wouldn't go as far as to say I hated him, just heard myself say things like "We'll need to watch that cnut O'Ware" or, more often "Why's nobody marking that cnut O'ware"

  4. Livingston were poor technically, but they're big and physical, committed in defence and took the only real chance they got. That said, we deserved what we got, we need to learn to compete physically and break these teams down because, at home, that's what we're going to face more often than not this season.

Buchanan looked uneasy and lacked a bit of confidence, I don't think dropping him will improve that, I'm sure there's a decent centre back in there somewhere.

Highlight of the night for me was young O'Keefe. Came on as a young guy against a team who'd been kicking lumps out of our players all night and ran at them without an ounce of hesitation. He was unlucky not to end the game with a brace and an assist. He'd get a start against Partick for me, Stewart didn't really do much wrong, but Conor looks to be a natural winger with a bit of pace and skill, deserves his chance.

  5. On the last train home from Glasgow, maybe a year or so back after a great night, few beers etc. Just as the doors are about to shut, a couple of mutants crash onto the train, with them, they have a lovely wee lassie about 3 in a buggy. A couple of minutes into the journey the wee girl starts asking "mummy, mummy, I need the toilet". Neither mutant even acknowledges the wee soul, then a bit later, "I need the toilet, mummy" again, ignored. This goes on for about 5-10 minutes before mutant number two briefly interrupts their garbled conversation to grunt at the girl "Rhianna, shut it and eat yer Space Raiders!". Shudder...wee soul.

  6. I quite often dream about looking for something I've lost, or had as a child, like headphones or an old pair of football boots that I really liked. I'll be searching all through my parents' house and all along the street, asking people. Every now and then there's the occasional "cut away" to a vision of the item I'm looking for lying in a dusty room somewhere surrounded by stoor and cobwebs.
