Considine header followed by a Hayes goal on the break with 10 men. Magic.
Didn't look as though Gartenmann touched it on Sportscene.
I remember Randolph coming up for a corner and somebody narrowly missing the open goal from about 40 yards on the counter for a third. I think afterwards I was slightly disappointed it hadn't gone in as I'd never seen one of those goals in the flesh.

I haven't seen today's back but I remember Aberdeen scoring from a corner that should have been a goal kick, one of the times they knocked us out the cup under McCall.

I was fine with us signing Halliday in January when we looked pretty doomed and kept running out of midfielders. IMO he's pretty clearly past it though and if PCAs are as shaky as they seem to be nowadays then it should be "cheers Andy, enjoy the Championship".

Is Kelly still our most expensive signing?
In terms of points dropped maybe

Is there a worse starting goalie in the top flight right now? I don't really see enough of most other teams to say with confidence but I still reckon I'd rather Shamal George or Laidlaw over him.

Presumably it would need to involve Callum Butcher being very much launched first.
I'd totally forgotten that haha. A sacrifice I am willing to make.

Both are Pitch Perfect alumnae (not Benji Siegrist of course).
Spurious but this is what Liam Kelly has driven me to. Sign him up.

She must be pals with Lizzy Banks surely?

Sturm Graz can go top of their league tonight. Mika-stealing aside, I wonder if that's one of the addons we had for Johnston?

This is a stupid/flippant point but what would the Well Society do with £1.5m and do I get a cut?

It's also worth pointing out that even at Xmas, half our fans thought Bair was utter shite and the other half thought he was shite but at least worked hard.
The level of seeth at his signing was off the charts, matched only by the total bemusement that it was a two-year deal on top.
I'm absolutely delighted for him and us at how it's gone but if history isn't being rewritten, the July-Christmas part of his spell with us is fair being ignored.

The fact that he's been in Canada/MLS squads relatively young, St Johnstone paid a fee for him, and their fans (okay, RandomGuy) seem to think it was a composure/confidence thing rather than a complete lack of ability means I'd probably rather have him as a 4th choice striker than another Obika/Mandron type who we know will be a 6.5/10 most weeks but not much more.
I'm putting myself forward for a seat on Ketts' I Told You So parade.

Ha yeah. If Kettlewell had also extended a beady eye and that coaching to some bombscare defenders, turning them into something resembling competence, then we may have done better than 9th.
Haha aye, I was worried I came across a bit dour about folk enjoying a brilliant individual turnaround but I think it's just my natural pessimism means I'd be too scared of St Johnstone pipping us to a completely inconsequential 9th place finish on the last day to be properly giving it out.

I do think the Bair thing is definitely the biggest unqualified success of our season and he's one of my favourite players in years but I find some of the hubris from our fans on twitter a bit odd. If he was firing us to 3rd and St Johnstone were going down I'd understand a "let's all laugh at St Johnstone" vibe but we'll probably end up finishing 9th and 10th together.

I'd be surprised if he doesn't get at least 2 post-split to take him to 15 for the season. I'm desperate for him to get to 16 and outscore Moult's best ever season just to have it as a weird stat to bring up every so often.

Is that not about what we got for Scott from Hull? Scott was 4 or 5 years younger and probably looked a more natural footballer but never came anywhere close to the sort of form Theo has shown since Christmas. Unless it's the only concrete offer we get or Bair has indicated he 100% wants away I don't think we have much incentive to accept something like that now rather than hold out for £1m+ in Summer.

So they did . Still Dundee looked fairly competent tonight and not like the team we faced for the last 15 minutes a couple of weeks back. Hope they pip St Mirren to 5th.
Also Curtis Main came on. Still to score for them iirc. I assume Ketts was talking about him when he mentioned Dundee outbidding us for players. One wonders if we would have got Theo if we had managed to get Main ? Not sure which order that all happened.
Main went there in January so Vale is probably the comparison. Maybe Shaw if you count him as a signing/footballer.

Since the Capt pointed it out the other day I can't figure out if Kettlewell keeping us up with this gang of centrebacks for two seasons in a row makes him a genius or if the fact he hasn't signed any new centrebacks is a sackable offence.

6 points behind St Mirren. I think this might go the wire.

If it's still in the balance on the last day we're going to see some all time lying down from St Mirren at Parkhead and Hearts at home to Rangers.

I know it has no bearing on his performances as an actual defender but it'll be a while longer after Ibrox before I have anything bad to say about Dan Casey.
