I thought Rogers was an ok GK but that’s about it. He was prone to the odd error and like too many of our Keepers over the years was far to shy to command his area.

They couldn’t afford his wages for a 2hd season so they came to an agreement, hence why he was able to head to the Premiership.

Every GK has cock ups at some point and they are always remembered as they are the last man. McGovern had a few howlers too in his time but was still a competent GK. I think we need to remember which market we are shopping in. Even Jamie McDonald was on more cash than we would normally pay but was here to put himself in the shop window.

Is Cammy Bell a better keeper than what we’ve had in the last few years? In my opinion yes. We’ve not had a good keeper since McGovern left.

He had a good season with Dundee United in this division. More than capable in the championship.

Doubt it’ll make it any different. Hartley said at the last one in BTW we had an option on Sibbs but wouldn’t stand in his way if he wants to go elsewhere. With their TV cash & additional income from the visiting Premiership teams they should be offering more wages than us. Their home crowds are almost irrelevant. It’s a sad fact but it’s true.

Unless Sunderland & Watford release Nelson & Jakubiak (doubtful seeing as both signed extensions before they came to us) then I wouldn’t expect to see them again UNLESS it’s a loan deal. Hartley said himself that any loan deals will be much later, ie July/August.

Could just be on holiday I suppose but you never know.
