  1. Well deserved win for Annan today as they were the better team. All 3 goals were similar with us not closing down and backing off which gave the Annan players plenty of time to pick out a nice shot. 3 lovely goals they were though but why wouldn't any of our players try and close them down and pressure them instead of just standing back and allowing them to shoot. Need big sonkur back in there and possibly move to a 5 man defence. We were out fought and out thought today and need to improve drastically defensively if we want to have a good season.

  2. Not been a Farrell fan over the last few seasons but I’m starting to enjoy watching the team again. Always thought he talked a good game and seemed a cracking guy but hated the hoofball tactics of the last few seasons. But the last 4 or 5 games something has clicked and we are playing a nice passing game on the ground and even the long balls we do play are going to players. The players are fighting hard and working as a team again and it’s really good to watch. I also think Gallagher and Cummins look good at RB and LB...whole team look good and very direct on the attack..keep it up and well done Stevie Farrell[emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]

  3. Well done Elgin by far the better team and deserved the 3 points. Same old dreadful hoofball tactics from Stranraer today again as has been the case for the past 3 seasons. Playing a formation that leaves the flanks exposed at every attack and leaves the midfield short and no plan B from the manager when things aren’t working. It’s not the players fault it’s the managers severe lack of tactics and his love of aimless long balls up the pitch that are the problem. How come teams that we play against can play football on the ground but we just punt it up the pitch for their defence to head back ?...we were lucky to get a 2-2 against rovers but were spanked today by Elgin and it’s not good enough.

  4. Fantastic  signing in Kyle turner . Has been an absolute star for us for last few years.  I really hope he does well at Dunfermline as he deserves it. That will also be another 5 fans at your home and away games as his dad mum and sisters go to every game. Not the biggest of guys but gets stuck in and is a great team player. Good luck to the boy I hope he’s as big a star for the pars as he was for us .

  5. Really hoped Victoria would sign on at Stranraer again as thought he was a good player. Only goes one direction which is forward as he’s a very attack minded player and just attacks every time he gets the ball which is good to watch as a fan.I really liked him at Stranraer and think he will do well at Raith. Unfortunately you guys won’t be getting Jamie Hamill though as he’s signed on with us again this season yaaay [emoji20]

  6. Somebody claiming that Kyle Turner signed for us on Thursday and to be announced soon.
We're getting linked with just about every decent league 1 player at the moment after the club statement saying we are looking for ''young hungry players'' this year. So maybe not true.

He definitely fits the bill then as he’s an excellent young player. So whoever your club are if true they’re very lucky to have him. Hope it’s not true though and he signs up again for one more season at Stranraer.

Re-signing Grant Anderson would paper over some other huge cracks in squad-building.
I'm a shameless nostalgist and I don't care who knows it.

Been offered another deal at Stranraer but is yet to sign. Was talking to a Raith supporting mate yesterday who said he would like to see him back at starks park. I hope he signs again at Stranraer as he’s a good player to have in your squad as he’s versatile and always gives 100% plus he pops up with a few goals as well.

Decent start in terms of retaining players; Max has developed into a really steady goal keeper, Smith very consistent and McManus on his day more than capable at this level.
Personally preferred McManus at centre back, thought we played a ball a bit more rather than lumping it forward.

I also preferred him at centre half where he was super cool on the ball and didn’t just hoof it aimlessly up the park like some other centre backs did for most of the season. Good signs so far as that’s 3 good players re-signed  but surprised hammil hasn’t signed on again as thought he would of been first to sign terms again.

  9. Tapping did well, hopefully do us a turn.  Any word if Moreno is going to sign as I believe the club are impressed with him.  Also, word is Boris Melingui has signed, why nothing about that on website.

I liked morena when he played for us. Got stuck in and always looked decent but was never really given a chance. Hope he does well for you.[emoji106]
  10. Malcolm always gives 100% and must be a pain to play against as he runs after everything even though he isn't the fastest. Great servant for Stranraer and I would of liked to of kept him at stair park. I'm sure he played some of the season as a midfielder at Ayr united which may account for his lack of goals there and them saying he was rubbish . Pretty sure he scored 3 or 4 against them the next season when back playing as a striker for Stranraer though.

Good luck malky....but hopefully not against us...[emoji51]

  11. Any idea who you're trialists were?

One year we'll start the season with a victory over you guys...one year...

    Who am I kidding :(

Just a guess but the 2 that started may of been the same 2 as Saturday's win over morpeth town...defender Liam rowan and midfielder Joel cooper....not sure about the other 2 though...?
