  1. [emoji1303]

I didn't really want to say anything before the game incase it ended badly but I was looking at those two lineups and thinking we looked far superior in almost every department.  There's probably only 2 or 3 Clyde players I'd take for our squad tbh.
First half we absolutely cruised it, McKee was strutting around like he owned Broadwood and I actually feared the worst when he went off.  We didn't look as effective without him but we had more than enough to comfortably see out the game.  Both young fullbacks, who I had concerns about, were superb.  MacLean looks like the find of the summer for me, he caused Clyde no end of problems.  Hopkirk was looking dangerous out wide and Duthie is just oozing confidence at the minute, I was delighted to see him get a goal.  Orsi isn't going to score many but he done his job well and with the likes of MacLean, Duthie, Hopkirk and McKee behind him there are goals there if he brings them into play.
What an absolute breath of fresh air it is to watch a Dumbarton team playing actual football. I think that's the first time I've properly enjoyed watching us since Duffy inherited the likes of Dom Thomas and Calum Gallacher.
  2. "Aim wee, stay wee"

I have it on good authority that if the managers tracksuits were custom styles then the entire population of West Dunbartonshire would buy them and the club would be rich, but as it is the trackies are standard styles so the club is doomed to fail.
  3. Aye, but they can't just be custom designs, they must be custom *sellable* designs. If they aren't custom sellable designs, such as a black tracksuit with a yellow castle silhouette emblazoned on the back, I'll fight any banger who disagrees wae me cos I've been running fitba teams since Jesus wis a nipper.

I refuse to sponsor the management team as I'm unhappy that their tracksuits aren't custom designs.
  4. What's new for everyone, inviting fans to get in contact via phone for a ticket but just completely ignore any contact made via phone? Not really acceptable and poor from the club in terms of customer service. If we aren't going to respond to any voicemails, don't invite folk to contact by phone [emoji1745]

There's 300 tickets. The middle area is for BBC crew, teams, staff and Neil Doncaster.
150 fans in the home end, 150 in the away. Turnstiles are in operation which I find a bit strange. I get the frustration but the club have done well in the last few days to pull this together. This is new for everyone and hopefully it doesn't carry on into next season
  5. An abomination in comparison to some of the more recent work done, embarrassing in all honesty.

Some of the media work and social media stuff we’ve been dropping lately has been top notch but what in gods name is that silent slideshow thing we’ve just put up!?
  6. Here here

There is another way to view all of this.  Ten days ago it didn't look very likely that we would have a chance of staying up.  As of now we not only have that chance but up to 500 supporters could be in attendance to witness it.  All of this after a year when we've been stuck watching our football indoors .
I'm planning to go on Thursday, and speaking as someone who enjoys a pre-match beer, compared to the prospect of being there as we see out the season from Hell by hopefully retaining our Division One status, the fact that there will be no bar, food, etc., matters absolutely jack shit.
As for the protocols and the early arrival situation, perhaps view these as a necessary but temporary irritation rather than an assault on our personal liberties.  Chill guys.
  7. Know

It would be nice if the lead commentator could tell us who's doing what on the ball rather than leaving long periods of silence while play goes on. With the Pixellot camera so far from the action and everything feeling so disengaging, it would be great to know who's passing to who and who's dribbling where, know?
  8. [emoji1303] Crossan has been pants.

What constitutes a “decent amount of minutes”? He’s not starting games either because he’s not at the required level of fitness (noting injury problems out with his control) or because he’s not showing enough in training, or most likely a combination of both.
Full 90 against Falkirk and the best part of 30mins against Peterhead, Forfar and Airdrie. Enough time to make an impact, no? In all of those I’m struggling to recall anything of note from PJ. So despite the limited time on the pitch, the time he has has has been below the expected standard. He’s not alone.
  9. Speaking of thick, are you suggesting that we sack our manager with only four games left to go which we play across the next two & a half weeks? With likely no replacement ready to go other than his current Assistant, even if we did appoint someone external at this stage how many sessions is he going to have to put across new ideas, I reckon 3 training sessions between now & the last game. So aye, seems a great idea.

All is forgiven. He managed an average performance tonight. If you think that's good enough you're super league level of thick
  10. I'm not quite sure that PJ can "...meet expected standards..." if the Manager refuses to give him the opportunity to get a decent amount of minutes on the pitch [emoji1745]

What we need now are players able and willing to take on the opposition in 1-v-1 situations, try to turn defenders and be general more direct. Forbes won’t give us that as he simply doesn’t have the pace anymore. Omar has shown that in glimpses. PJ and Frizzel are both capable but both have failed to meet expected standards this season.

  11. Another embarrassing performance. It would be good to hear something honest from the manager instead of the usual cliche sound bites which he wheels out at any opportunity.

The other issue is the deafening silence from the board/club on our performances...

  12. Couldn't agree more. Surely these remaining games will be Duffy's last stand?

Meanwhile, East Fife sign Nathan Austin on loan from Kelty...
I’m not bothered in the slightest about the quality being brought in elsewhere in the league whilst we have Duffy offering trials to bums and nobodys. Honest.
