Do the stands ever get a good clean? I mean the area where the fans sit. I know the problem with seaguls is one the whole town has but on Saturday it's was absolutely disgusting in the new stand. There were so many droppings it actually smelled like a pigeon coop where I was sitting.
I appreciate we appear to be struggling a bit financially but surely a tub of hot soapy water and a brush isn't too much to ask even if for just the biggest problem areas.
Ha plus all the other issues like the weeds he's too busy drinking coffee in the shop or driving up down the road with the strips1 -
Glad we managed to secure the win tonight. Really starting to seem like we need that first goal to open the flood gates. Dobbie steamrolling towards that 2nd spot and Dykes finding the target yet again which is encouraging to see.
Also saw that Ross Fergusson bagged a hat-trick tonight for Annan, not entirely sure of the decisions surrounding his departure but given his physical attributes I still think he could have done a job for us considering our squad size.
Internal club investigation lead to his departure0 -
Agree first half was poor. Forward line very static and midfield letting runners on top of our centre backs.
second half though was far than a little better. It was very good. High tempo, solid at the back and creating chances.
small squad I agree which needs a couple of additions.
Heard today naysmith been told he's getting no more players unless we get money from a good cup run depression long season ahead.0 -

2-2 Micky Doyle was outstanding as a sub number 6 need another look see how he compares with the New Zealand lad that's coming in on trial we still need one if not two strikers and and right winger and we good to go.

How do you know they "do nout"?
So your saying taken all the crumb off it with a quad bike to lie and the dude of the pitch when clearing snow is looking after it a mean if they can't even pick up a plastic cup after a match how yoh expect a pitch to be looked after-1 -
Okay, so what is it that our groundsmen are doing wrong then?
They do nout that's the problem if you read the article shows you what should be done0 -
Where has it been said we're 4th worst pitch? Falkirk have a quality surface, just a shame about the dross they have playing on it.
Motherwell must have turned it around to be voted best. For years it was an abomination from winter onwards. Very patchy.
Pfa player survey only kille Hamilton and Albion rivers got worse pitches0 -
No surprise we got 4th worst pitch in Scotland as we don't look after it correctly unlike Falkirk Do

Has he been offered a contract do you know? Every guy other than him has either been released, had their loans end, snubbed new deals or signed new deals so he is the only one in the unknown category. Would be nice to hear what is happening with him
In today's standard been offered a deal but is thinking it over

Very good, I thought he had a leg injury too?
Yeh that was the rumour but obv not0 -
Allan Martin had successful surgery on a hand injury and should be back in ten weeks for the start of the league cup campaign.

If we finish above Falkirk its a credit to the players apparently. Fucking hell.
A had to laugh at that comment from naysmith as they were mince at start of the season0 -
Out of inerest apart from Sammon who was our best player today ?
Edwards a would say0 -
Agree with most of the recent posts but my question remains, ie do we have unrealistic expectations?
That's probably true a think the fans do or a do as a see queens as a team that should be up there challenging but we can't afford to have the squad of a Dundee Utd a st mirren or a Dunfermline but with a fully fit squad on out day wete as good if not better than a livi or a Morton Inverness0 -
I am always surprised at this type of statement - how many fans from Dumfries go to watch Glasgow teams each week? I'd be surprised if its more than 100 on a regular basis maybe another 100 floating who will go occasionally. Half the town would be 15 000. It's no where near this number. The bigger problem is armchair fans who will watch any team or sport - football, rugby which will start in a few weeks time, darts, snooker etc
Yeh maybe half was over the top but you get my point it annoys me tbh but you got factor in the other areas around Dumfries if you include them but as you say armchair fans nowadays a know we're a rather be taking in a game live can't be replicated on a TV screen it's frustrating as to me we're a sleeping giant but can't blame the board as not really sure more we can do to get the fans through the door thank god for the arena it could be keeping us afloat0 -
We do seem to be in a grim state at the moment as no mention of any replacements coming in by gn in his post Match interview to me he cut a dejected figure in his interview that his hands are tied and he's now being forced to play the kids which sucks for us loyal fans it's not our fault that half the town would rather do other things on Saturdays or take one if the numerous buses to watch the Glasgow teams.
