Who would you say wise man,go on tell me go down the full time route and say Airdrie or Livi,I would say no chance to these 2.Favorites for the league? Behave.
Finish above Alloa? More than likely.

And what are Alloa,I think you'll find a solid bunch of professionals usually wins this LeagueWell that means everything doesn't it?
Stranraer will not win the league. A solid bunch of professionals and nothing more.

Watched Spence play against Stranraer at the backend of last season and didn't get a kick and we have almost the same defence again this season,no probs. We're not completely relying on Longworth, he's not the main striker at this point. I'd say Spence is. But don't worry - I wouldn't swap Alloa's team for Stranraer's anyway, so you're fine.

Having looked at all the squads in depth,I wouldn't change Stranraer's squad for any other team, remember Jamie couldn't get into our first 11 last season, the blues could go tomorrow not many teams can say that,a wealth of experience in our team of this League, really can't believe the bookies don't have us favourites.Buzzing for Saturday when we get a first look at this team - I know it's preseason & they'll be chopping and changing but I'd like to see this line up.
Parry; Taggart, Marr, Graham, Waters; Goodwin, Holmer; Cawley, Flannigan; Spence & Longworth.
I'd be more than happy to start the season with that but it does mean more than capable players like Hetherington, Robertson, Kirkpatrick miss out. So many options in midfield!

Try Stranraer getting close mate.I'll be sticking 10 of my hard earned pounds on you Wasps to run riot this year. Building a very good squad and if JR can get them playing the way he likes then I don't see basketcase Livi or experimental Airdrie getting close.

That was something missing in previous years trust me,nope good house keeping is the only answer. You may or may not have a very good treasurer but that doesn't explain where the money is coming from, only that you have someone who can count it.

No sugar daddy just very good house keeping, although the tic game was nice money,we have a very good treasurer who knows where we stand money wise, don't think we are paying players mega bucks.Stranraer have obviously stumbled on some sort of sugar daddy. That and the money from the Celtic game. Also noticed that quite bizarrely the inchyra hotel in falkirk was paying for the goalkeeper.

Cant agree FF,your usually on the ball but saw McMenamin at Stair pk recently, him and Scotland hardly touched the ball, think he's finished.Colin McMenamin has just tweeted announcing he's staying for another season. Very pleased with this, he's never let us down in the last two years. Get another couple of solid strikers in alongside him and we'll be looking alright up top.

Gutted to see Grant Gallagher going to you guys, most Stranraer fans feel the same but 1 or 2 aren't convinced about the former Celtic youth. What you will get from Gall is box to box 100 per cent player a player fans just love. Can remember when he first played for us,his position was Right back and his passing was horrendous so was his concentration, but he was only a kid and his passing has got better in midfield and his highly thought of by Ginge. His energy levels are fantastic and will be one to watch next season.

Good luck to Ginge(nickname ie hair)the lure of going to Easter road,Fir pk/Ibrox, was enough to get him away from Stair pk and although it will be a tough gig to keep the sons in the Championship, one he will relish I am sure.I think things would have been different if we had gained promotion,he would have tried to be the first manager to keep the blues in the second tier for a second season but not too be.I would reckon he might a bring a couple with him,Grant Gallagher could play in the championship also our keeper David Mitchell if he is available plus Willie Gibson and Frank Mckeown could be on his radar.A part time appt will also suit as he has a good full time job in EK and if things don't work out he can fall back on that, but interesting times lie ahead for blues and sons fans.
